This is my first full mowing season on a v- ride ii 52 inch 25hp Kohler -i’ve been getting paid to cut grass for over 30 years. This is the most Fanfkntastic mower I’ve ever used in my life. The agility and visibility are outstanding.
@@E.L.C. yes, only stander I’ve ever used-and I still stand by my statement -I have a 2022 turf tiger II and I let my main guy use it-I find standing and mowing more enjoyable for some reason-I knew I made the right decision when I saw some other landscapers at the lunch spot that had v-rides and 1 wright stander on the trailer-they said they hated the wright and called it the “wrong” 😂
Love the video, only thing I can suggest for the slopes is to flip the platform up and use the mower like a “walk behind” mower. I’ve found it will hold the hills better that way
Very informative and well put together video, i also like how you don't have one of those loud obnoxious, trying to hard, kind of voices, you're just chillin giving solid info, and also appreciate you dont have that distracting unnecessary background music that alot of these content creator seem to love. Mann great review i had a scag vride 2. My first ever mower 48in deck and i loved that thing Back in 2022 im located in SWFL when hurricane ian hit and my scag was trashed. Underwater so i har to trash it. Recently iv been in the market and was looking at the wright stander or stay with vride. Watching this video convinced me to go ahead and get another vride but this time a 52. Having issues with slopes i dont think i ever had a problem. Overall great video my guy
Hey Jay, Love the videos. I'm not in the lawn care business, but I mow several acres of grass. I mow a property with a slope like the one in the video. I've used 3 mowers on it over the years, all zero turn riders. 1st was a 48" Husqvarna, 2nd was a 52" John Deere, 3rd mower is a 60" Bad Boy. " Absolutely love this mower by the way." Anyways I've had good luck letting air out of the rear tires when I mow it. I just use a cheap 12 volt compressor to air the tires up when I'm done. Don't know if it will help on a stand up mower, but you never know. Take care.
Thanks, for you honest Review, I Have a, Gravley zero (5 years) very little trouble, as i age , I realize a stand up , would be better for me, I rarely do big jobs I need to be able to get in smaller gates, thanks again👍
You've pretty much helped me make my decision. I already have a Gravely ZT XL 52. So I wanted to try a different brand. I like the Gravely 36 pro stance but they're just.....long.....i wanted something a little more compact. The Wright stander is very compact but the closest dealer is an hour and 10 minutes away or more. Plus I've heard about the Scag cutting decks and they just look nice. Also I'm trying to get the hell away from push mowing TOO!!! GOOD GOD!
Hey Jay thanks for the review I'm in the same boat you where in I have a Exmark 52" with a Exmark engine and the power is mediocre so I am going to demo the Scag V Ride next week your review is really helpful thanks.
You guys need 2 fuel tanks on the V-ride. And for gods sakes no more cup holders in the fuel tanks! Put a dedicated cup holder somewhere that can actually hold a large bottle of water without falling out!
Excellent review thanks for sharing. Im torn between ExMark Turf Tracer and the SCAG walk behind (or stand ons) I must agree the quality of the cut is the best; nothing else matters but having a sturdy piece of equipment that doesnt stay in the shop. I'm concerned with the hydro turn vs the belt turn though. Once that hydro stuff shits it's pamper I think its over for that mower.
I run two turf tigers 52”. I want to updgrade my 22” pushers with vride 32”. I’ve have had walk behinds, 36 and 27, 36 hydro was awesome but didn’t fit thru some standard gates. 32 I think is perfect for metro residentials and less fatigue on bigger jobs if needed. Thanks for sharing, keep them sharp! 🍻
This is a well detailed review thats really spot on! Great content. My buddy let me borrow his scag identical to yours and i couldnt believe it. Look at my mower on some of my videos. Its no comparison. I love Husqvarna but this was a gamechanger. I cant decide what stand on mower to get. I prefer husqvarna/redmax but all the reviews say the controls suck on it and the cut deck sucks compared to a scag. The volocety deck is awesome. Also other companies like scag, toro/exmark have way way better add on accessories like baggers and such. The scag even has a double bagger for yours! Other companies have those fancy triangular shaped baggers that can dump while seated! Im not sure what a husqvarna could have besides a standard triple bagger.
I use nothing but Scag VRide lol. I noticed you mentioned the side to side slopes and it wants to slide to the bottom. You have to start your slopes at the bottom and work up and slow your speed down. I've had mine on some knarly slopes and it held very well. Good video and definitely get that 32 you won't be sorry
I bought a 2020 32 inch scag vride2 last year, it is an awesome little mower, don’t hesitate to buy one. The only cons I have found are the small tires and smaller deck to stand on, but I can take it through any gate I have. When I’m ready to upgrade from my 2018 gravely pro stance I’m definitely getting another scag, this coming from a gravely fanboy. I’d put my old 2 wheel gravely c8 against any small brush cutter out there, but the pro stance really lacks where it should excel. Nice review bud!

I love my SCAG VRIDE cut on level ground but hate it on uneven ground with dips because it will scalp with the deck edge in a heart beat once it leans to the side because unlike a sit down the deck has no give because the deck is so heavy and there is not a float pedal like the sit down zero turn.
@@JaysLawnService on a sit down Zero turn there is a foot pedal that assist in raising the deck when you want to pull the deck level up to the lock position. when you come to a high spot you can press the pedal down and raise the deck up to keep from scalping.
