I added the new TECHNIC Porsche 911 RSR to the collection. I am disappointed it's not in the 1:8 scale that I love, but this set packs some fun surprises.
Thanks Alex for a wonderful review. We'll presented and clear. I recently acquired this set. Just have to pluck up the courage to build it. I have been spoiled by numbered bags on other sets. Keep up the good work.
Mathias OTTESEN dude if u have like the bmw bike (technic) u will get the bike and if u don’t want the boxes u get so many technic pieces look it up it’s a really good set

I completed my dad just yesterday and I spent the whole day doing it and once I'd FINSHED I was very happy with it it's a really good build and the suspension is very nice and the build of the car is very strong it's also much bigger than I thought it's a very good price I personally think that it's better than the 911 gt3rs it is just more colourful too I also feel the rest has more detail

I only noticed it because the flow of the racing stripes did not match the stickers. It was driving me crazy. My rear wheels did not have that much moving in them. Although my doors don't shut as flush as yours. I'm currently working on the Bugatti

It is a bit of a nitpicking, but i think you missplaced the fender pieces, at least in the video the left front fender is switched with the rear right fender. Just compare the fenders in the manual/on the box with your build :D Otherwise, great video as always! :D
I just finished building this last night. Does yours steer because mine seems to be too heavy to steer. Only when I'm supporting the undercarriage using my left hand does the steering work using my right hand to turn the steering wheel.
It’s a cool looking car and good job on comparing it to the orange car, I think Lego should make a Lamborghini in this scale, or 1:8 scale I’m not much of a fan of technic but may get this or another technic set soon
I just bought the Porsche 911 Targa/Turbo and love it. I built that Targa version, but will eventually convert to Turbo. As much as I love Porsche and legos, I actually am not a big fan of the Lego GT3 RS and RSR builds. They are cool and interesting, no doubt, but something seems off with that overall shape and silhouette of the vehicles. Maybe it’s the large panel gaps on the GT3 RS’ front hood, or maybe it’s just that they look too Lego or “technic-y” - to an extent that detracts from their realism and resemblance to the real cars. Of course, being Lego sets, they have to strike that right balance, especially being technic, where they will necessarily look a little less realistic visually because they exist to display all the technical features versus showing just the body.
I wonder what the next full sized feature vehicle will be...I want to mount the Bugatti and the Porsche to the wall and I have room for one more of that scale.
Did you also notice there were some mistakes in the instructions? Page 63 the yellow technic pin is in a different position in the close up than it is when it is shown in the rest of the engine assembly. Also on page 174 the box in the upper left hand corner has the fender with the front print when its supposed to be the rear print. Just thought it was odd that i have never noticed any mistakes in lego instructions before and i found two pretty obvious ones in the same set
YES! On page 63...that was really bugging me. I thought I built it wrong. And for the fender, someone told me I mixed it up, but it appears I was just following the instructions. Pretty crazy. I have never seen this before either.
On pg 63 the diagram is in 1:1 scale so you can build the build the pistons and con rods using the instructions as an exact template. It's not a mistake in the instructions. You were just unaware how to use them.
With how the stickers are set up, would it be possible to rebuild it without ruining the stickers? Mine will be coming in soon but I do intent to rebuild as a way to pass time.
The problem is that stickers peel of after a while, if it were printed it would be much better. But I agree stickers look cool, and personally I don't mind them.
Bruh took me 5 days to make the 2700 piece one it was one of the hardest sets I’m 13 btw also everyone saying the rsr isn’t that small for the price it isn’t but compared to the bigger one it is WAY smaller if you have the bigger one you’ll know
I love every lego fan. But i do not love Lego Technic. Everything is to bulky and i never understood why they do not make windows. Nice review and good comparison. 👌🏼
No it doesn't actually. The street models like the GT3 RS have it; however, the CUP and RSR do not. Therefore it's a totally valid criticism. I'm guessing Lego's designers were simply ignorant and let the rear axle be loose and wonky thinking it was the same as the GT3 RS.
i think we should get a lego formula 1 car of the newer cars or an lmp1 car

The wobbly rear wheels might be designed to represent rear wheel steering. Porsche have incorporated this into some of their 911 road cars.

For everyone saying that the rear wheel wobble is to represent the rear wheel steering. The RSR race car does not have rear wheel steering.

the back wheels aren't flimsy, the 911 RSR has rear wheel steering as well, to assist in cornering, I presume this was done to reiterate that
