I really think it's a mental switch that happens after marriage. Before you get married you know that if you really fuck something up that person can just pack up and leave. But after marriage there's a lot more hassle to do all that. I think when people get married they start feeling like all the stuff they have wanted the other to do in the relationship suddenly becomes an obligation, not just something you appreciate that they did for you when they didn't have to. Like if you're just dating and they come over for dinner and after they take out the trash, that was a kind gesture that you appreciate cause they had no 'obligation' to do it. But when you're married there's a new set of rules people create in their heads that they don't really tell their partner about. So they eventually become resentful of the other not pulling their weight when it comes to the arbitrary list of responsibilities they've created in their heads. Obviously, some things should be expected. Like if you have kids and it's your day to pick them up from school no one should have to nag you to go get them. Or if it's time to switch out the laundry you should do it now and not wait till it starts to smell musty. But I think people give their partners a lot more grace with the smaller things when they're dating than they do when they get married. My partner and I have been together for 10 years, and not so sound like we 'got it all figured out', but one thing we do really well is we always be sure to thank the other for doing a chore, whether they were asked to or not. If we cook dinner, unload the dishwasher, cut the grass we always say thank you. Cause just cause we should do something doesn't mean that we have to. I think when married couples stop being genuinely grateful of each other's contributions and show that they are grateful, things start to deteriorate. And like you said, for women having sex is far more emotional. So if we are put off by your attitude or annoyed by your lack of help in the home or with the family, it's a lot harder to put that aside and be in the mood.
Well said. Especially if or when children become part of the equation, it tends to fall to the woman to take care of the children, the cooking, the cleaning, the laundry, the grocery shopping, getting the children ready for school, helping with homework, etc. all while often having a job outside the home as well. We're exhausted! Times are changing, but still it's very rare to find an equitable split between the husband and the wife when it comes to keeping the household going - which aren't an "arbitrary list of responsibilities" - much less the marriage. Genuine congratulations to you and your partner for finding ways to continue to show respect, balancing the workload and making your partnership work.
I boil it all down to one simple philosophical concept: Processism. People constantly want new and shifting dynamics in their relationships (you only have to think about it for a second to know those are your strongest memories). In a marriage it's naturally going to be more difficult over time achieving anything like those earlier memories and experiences. Obviously there are a bunch of other factors, but yeah.
Those days are just a memory now . I got old -dammit but I loved it! Couldn’t get enough . Now my daughter is worse than I ever was! She’s 47 and beautiful redhead!!
It is way better if you can see what he is doing. The reason it's hard to find clips is because Louis C.K. was really the first to change the game , taking out the middle man and only selling his specials on his site. They are I think around 10 or so dollars, for sure under 20. The best thing about owning LCK specials is that they are very re-watchable. I couldn't tell you how many times I have re-watched LCK. The other thing that's great is that out of context they make less sense. if you watch a full special all the jokes fit together.
I was here biz. Never seen this one. That shit was funny. Hey if you know how to get in with Louis tell him he owes me $8.50 because he made me drop my KFC when he said he paid the rent and he would shit on the bed if he wanted.
For me patrice oneal passed on the greatest comedian title to louis ck when he died. Chapelle & kevin heart are not even close. Louis ck even follows patrices teachings.
There is a stereotype that married people don't have sex but there are married people that do and I do think there are reasons that go beyond just desire that affect all this. A man who would rather watch TV than spend time with his wife will not have a wife who's as willing. A wife who stops trying to seduce or be attractive to a man will not have a man who tries as hard themselves. And I think in a lot of relationships where people stop having sex there are reasons beyond just the sex itself but irritations or problems with your partner.
Louis CK doesn't miss and I don't understand why I never get sick of him. I can watch video after video and it's the reason I'm here on this channel.
Monument and reflecting pool…..Louis is the man.
CK is the best. He paints a picture so vividly. I have to laugh, it's too funny.
I'll never understand why visual comedians have only audio options.
Always here for Louis 😂😂
Chapelle and Louis CK are on a whole other level from everyone else for me.

I don’t know if I agree on the Chappelle part
@bizmeetsworld just louis ck making fun of legless people is more funny than any recent Chappelle Netflix special to me. Lol
