"Your only responsibility in life is the space you take up and the people you encounter" love it 🤟
@@anthonybatissa1417yeah that was ultimately a take coming from a place of privilege
We have no responsibility to other people. We have a responsibility to our families only.
What a tool response, and a vague line of a joke.
Your interpretation is obviously insidious, and do not understand what lou meant.
@@alaska3390 not really. stinky enwords can also be responsible for the space they take up in the projects and the other gorillas that live there.
i dont care if its an older episode and i already seen it im watching it again its louis ck
@CR9Kid I rewatched thinking it was new until I heard old topics, got excited lol. He should go on again soon. One of the greatest entertainers of all time
I smoke too much to remember each episode. I remember some of the life lessons but I'm just experiencing this for the firs time otherwise 😂🤘
Louis CK on Opie and Anthony is some of the funniest and most interesting content around. Unfiltered ramblings from one of the greatest comics ever, before he got big.
The Patrice ones, Louie, Colin Quinn are the best. Then the next level is Bill Burr, Nick Dip, Rich Vos. The Patrice on O&A playlist is probably my favorite comedy there is.
@@justinloyd8315 One with Nick Patrice and CK is amazing :D, mastic episode

I have been listening to this all day. ALL. DAY! Louis CK is certainly a G.O.A.T and Rogan good on you for keeping the conversation moving perfectly.
They way Louis talks about stand up comedy, makes me think he’s a genius. A lot of the stuff he’s saying and the way he thinks - is actually applicable in everyday life.
Loved this podcast.
I wonder what his opinions on jerking off are and when it’s appropriate and not
He really is incredibly smart. He has an incredible way with words. He can describe events and make you feel like you were present
Very true, except his take on open borders. We shouldnt be forced to be unsafe because of corruption. The elite will continue to benefit while the rest of us suffer. Hes looking at the situation through a lens without really understanding it. He implies everyone coming over are just our local hard working mexicans who want a better life too. This simply isnt true. You talk to people on these Venezuelan and african caravans of all men and they even say there were people in that group they were scared of. There are people coming over who wish us harm and hate and blame us for their situation. His take is socialism. You open the flood gates and wages go down, you now have people who will work for nothing because its better than what they have. This benefits the elite, again. You also have people coming over who hate our culture or dont mesh with it or want to change it. We are aloud to exist, this isnt our fault. Its a complex situation no one has the answer for, but i bet it could be solved if the corrupted entities werent so corrupt. The issue shouldnt be opening our borders, it should be paying cobalt workers a real wage because these corporations arent passing any savings on.
Would pick louis ck as the goat than dave chapelle if it werent for the accident that killed loius.. both really are the best story teller but louis and how he thinks even when it isnt a set or not scripted the dude really is a genius
louis is so good at breaking down the bare bones of something. joe isn't a complicated guy but hearing him talk about his adolescence and first fights is so genuine.
i remember being in a similar state. small, thin little nerd. was sick of getting pushed around and literally joined the wrestling team and started going to martial arts practices.
it's not even a matter of being physically bigger and stronger. it's knowing how to keep your cool and be able to put someone who doesn't know what they're doing on their back. that confidence keeps people from messing with you in the first place (usually)
Almost 3 hours and I never got bored once. Love Louis CK and Joe did a great job drawing him out and keeping the conversation interesting. I also defended Louis during that crap time he had. People can be real assholes - and they came out of the woodwork back then. Glad that Louis made his comeback and continues to bring his talent for standup and production to all us fans.
all he did was embarrass himself in front of a couple women like 25 years ago. it was the weakest "metoo" of all and i think i lost some friends by defending him
the best stand up comedian alive. and in the top 3 comedians of all time.
Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Eddie Murphy are my favourites
I also love Joe and think of him as one of the GOATs for sure as well
@@archibaldcreep1 lol he's talking bout CK. Joe rogan is about as good as a comedian as Louis CK is at taekwondo

Probably the 4th time I've listened to this episode.
Louis CK is the best.
This is one of my favorite conversations I’ve ever seen in Rogan
Sometimes Joe kinda misses the point, he's so defensive about his whole "I take care of my body and I'm feeling amazing all the time bro" stance, that he completely misunderstood what Louis was even trying to say. He took it as an insult towards him and didn't realize that Louis was trying to say, you'll never find that perfect balance... You'll always have to work to feel good, and the more of these little bits people add to their regimen, the more supplements you find, the more silly routines you go to... You'll never just wake up one day and be perfectly insulated from things. You'll never be in a perfect equilibrium, and there are plenty of people who do none of that shit, who are living completely productive and fulfilling lives, and never have to do all these extra things to "feel great physically"
He got all pissy, "that's not true" 😂 I agree, it's like yea you might feel slightly better but you gotta take 87 supplements a day
Y’all are projecting laziness towards fitness big time. Not for everyone because we can’t all dig deep and break our selves everyday in order to recover and grow. You mentally are not capable and you should just say that. Physically testing yourself everyday after a work day overpowers your mental state and is not fathomable. Your comments sound just like this new trend of people saying “working out won’t stop a bullet”. Why are you so threatened by a man in shape that guns are being brought up. Screams insecurity.
@@ZachA-si3qz the only person projecting is you... I am in great shape and I work out every day. Aside from Sunday, that's the drinking day.
Point is, there's never going to be a point where you're "perfectly healthy" and Louis was only saying that, like anything else, there's a sense of fanaticism that can come with this idea of achieving perfect health... Perfect health doesn't exist.
Congrats on finding a way to sound like a dick online and pretending you're some sort of fitness wizard. I'm sure the crushing loneliness is made up for every time you look in the mirror and are in slightly better shape than other Americans... Incredibly low bar, by the way, America is the only country where poor people can be obese.
@@ZachA-si3qz So based on a comment you assume my whole life without any evidence? Are you a woman? I work out everyday 🤡
Most of us in the real world have little time to think about "how to balance" or how to feel good- MOST people are literally just trying to survive and raise dez children. It's such a PRIVILEGE to have the time, energy, even interest in the cold plunging, aywaska, mushroom micro dosing, spa sauna days. It's becoming a little cringe to listen to the absurdity of this. I've loved JR for his relatability. The more popular he gets, the more privilege, the less I'm able to relate to him. Idk maybe that's a resentment I need to take a look at❤🎉
I fucking love Louis. Dude is the greatest comic alive right now.
I mean he's in top 10, not greatest though. I got him even with Bill and Dave, but not above them.

Just watched this, and it is my new favorite podcast episode. 2 comics of the same age, from the same region just talking about it all. Loved this episode so much.

Man Joe is so good at keeping conversations going. Like right when you feel like the two are running out of gas on a certain subject, he’s able to seamlessly switch to something else (but related) and start building momentum again. It’s really cool.
I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a full rogan podcast but was on a CK bender. Listening to this whole conversation, I totally get why rogan is so regarded, he and CK are incredible conversationalists.
The comments regarding bullying are 100% true. It changes you and it never leaves you.
CK louis is a philosopher
In order to be a great comedian, you first have to be a philosopher.
Philosophers are constantly asking themselves, "but why?" ...It's in pursuit of the why-is where he discovers the absurdities of the "what is"
In either case, it means lots and lots of time spent inside one's own head
if youre reading this, go listen to old clips of Louie on opie and anthony. the absolute greatest
I did not know until this week how FANTASTIC and CORRECT this man (Louie) is. My GOSH! ❤🎉
Joe Rogan talking on a deep level about comedy with great comedians is hilarious. Cause Louis will say things about building comedy and working through the material with the crowd as if him and Joe are the same, but Joe is a straight up stool humper of a comedian.
@oscar3611 I don't understand these kind of comments. Rogan isn't on Louie's level - we all know that.
But if you've watched his specials and watched that Schaub special then you know Rogan is 10 levels above Schaub. Come on.
LCK is a master story teller, master of his craft and funny as hell. Love that guy
Good for joe for shining a light on this up and coming comedian
I learned more processing /life skills from this than a TED Talk. Love it! ❤❤❤
I have a special place in my heart for listening to comics talk shop. The best are only focused on honing their skills and they love talking about the process.
Louis is the best guest for any interviewer. Best Rogan podcast ever.
Louis is the man!!! What a guy, he’s so smooth in convo like butter
I think Louis CK will always be my favorite comedian. Every one of his podcast appearances are great too.
Joe trying to keep up with Louis is just adorable to watch lmfao
I love jamies faint little laugh when louis asks if bohemian grove is where alex jones grew up
As a photographer that concentrates mostly on very vulnerable people with dementia, what Louis said about the media showing up to mass shootings, really has me reflecting on what is the purpose of media exposure and documenting reality that clearly has a great deal of suffering in it. I don't know if I have any clear-cut answers there honestly. I can say that I do totally agree with the idea that we allow people to breathe, and take time out of respect when there is a crisis situation before we jump into it looking for interviews. I'm glad he said that because I think we have numbed ourselves as a society and don't always respect people's privacy. It is very much an entitlement to people's misery and loss.
I love Louis CK in every bit. My kind of comedian!
goddamn. This is the best thing since O&A. Do it more, you two. I'll listen every day.

Even for JRE that was a great conversation 🤩
When this aired last year I agreed with Louis about the cold plunge thing. I was 235 pounds and had some money. I've lost my job since then, but decided to take care of my body. I box, lift, do yoga, cycle and take cold showers since an ice bath is a bit out of my means (Being Canadian, I can achieve cold shock in the back yard for free 4-5 months a year so that helps.) I'm now 190, and have no stress whatsoever, all the extra dopamine and energy has made providing for my wife and son easier EVEN WITHOUT A JOB. The idea that you have to "drag your body over glass" to get by and that life is too hard to take an hour a day to care for your body and yourself is really just a bad mentality. Just my experience but in the last year I've completely come to agree with Joe on this topic. Turns out his bazillionaire status isn't why its easy for him to do all those things for his health.
