Carmelo is right on everything about Damian Lillard. I’m glad he got to play with him. It was cool to have him here. I wish we had gotten five years earlier at least
That cream rip city Melo jersey is one of my favorites
Dope Podcast. Carmelo was a DAWG in his day! Those Knocks days, he was scary good!
This might be a whole word that He’s speaking not only for Dame but anyone who needs it
Melo had really good teams in Denver. They were better than any team Dame had.
Both had 3 50+ win teams during their time on those Nuggets/Blazers teams respectively
And he ditched them for new York per wife request smh
Denver surrounded Melo with the best. They got him A.I and then Billups. It was a slap in the Nuggets organization when he demanded a trade
Camby K Mart Kleiza Nene Jr Smith Andre Miller Allen Iverson Billups sheesh
@IGcantstopfactsbrehmelo played defense
Melo is too knowledgeable for his co-host when they're talking basketball. This is when his co-host needs to do some homework and his due diligence before speaking on Basketball topics so he can provide more color for a more engaging conversation.
He obviously one of his close enough friends and their literally a couple episodes in let a mf get comfortable an learn even tho melo know basketball he still have to learn an get better at the whole form of podcast but it’s still talking hoops an there winging it and talking as if the cameras were off
@@MotorcityJuan it's called positive criticism Juan. They know what they're up against in the podcast world. Especially amongst the former and current athletes. That's when doing your homework comes into play. Come with good questions, study the hell out of your guests. Jada was there for a min and all homeboy was doing was cringe laughing and trying to be extra funny. No insight. First impressions are everything. Again this is not hate, just criticism. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
This is also Mero's established character/brand. That type of energy he brings is what he's known for
Sounds like you salty you ain’t get the call to be the co-host that Mero got
@@devious141 Nope I'm good kiddo. Just positive criticism.
Boricua Hispanic indian n black IAM. Melo n mero good show .you guys make some people happy. Mero is a comedian.
It’s crazy to me how Carmelo Anthony has embraced New York like he’s from there. He’s from Baltimore. Give us some love Melo. Wesside. ❤
He moved to Baltimore as a teenager, he was like 12/13 bro lol he can claim his hometown 😂
@@muntasircooper2782he was in red hook til elementary school…
he was born in red hook brooklyn
He IS from there 😅
Melo, kg, Rasheed, Matt barn, and Iman would be the perfect basketball pod
Melo is my favorite college ball player ever!!
Melo got quiet when he bro said Dame send mfs home 😂😂 flashbacks with okc 😂
Melo wasn’t on that okc team that year bro @youngksavage7201
They need a third guy in here that’s played in the league before to be the balance between these two
Agreed
It ain't even the number of guys, this dude just not qualified off the eye test
💯
Ahh Melo...
PDX gave you a chance when no one wanted you. Thanks for sowing seeds into our franchise. You are a true class act.
Don’t be sensitive, he said the truth
When Portland wasn’t going to take miami deal Dame wanted to stay in Portland, the gm wouldn’t even pick up his calls. He ignored dame calls. Imagine that after what Dame gave that franchise. They only demand loyalty from one side
I wonder what thats about? Thats crazy. Never heard that. Only thing i can think of is the Blazers were butt hurt that he even wanted to leave period. Cuz they gave him a f**k ton of money
@@shawn1819 it was because they wanted to move Dame all along they were just playing the public relations game so it looks like Dame wanted out and they didnt get blowback from the fan.. Dame never wanted out he only wanted to leave if it was to the heat other than that he would stay at portland. The GM is just an egotistical bastard who didnt want to appear like he caved to a superstar's need even though looking back now that miami heat with hero was a lot better. They had woj and other media members they have ties with pump narratives about how the heat trade was bad so people wouldnt see through the bs that they gm was just trying to " win one" over Pat Riley and Dame.
@@iceman463864 Their actions were clear to anyone who could read between the lines. They literally drafted another PG after getting Dame to resign under the impression that the blazers intent was to build a contender rather than rebuild.
Then they traded Jrue, Dame’s best defender, to the Bucks’ biggest rival
Desus balances things in a great way. Just give these gents time. They’ll hit the grove. Just remember they’re only a few episodes in. Give em 100 & you’ll see, this is a combo for the ages.
It’s Mero lol😂😂😂😂
@@torylanezbaldspot6350 LOL damn I really thought I was saying something! 🤣🤣🤣
LOYALTY OVA MONEY. 4 LIFE. AND MELO AND DAME BOTH PROVED IT. LOVE UM BOTH
BLESSINGS AND PRAISES TO MELO. GOD BRO
LOYALTY GONE KILL US
@IGcantstopfactsbreh THIS IS ONE OF THE TERRORIST.
AND NO THEY DIDNT THATS A LIE. MELO COULD HAVE LEFT THE NUGGETS WAY BEFORE HE DID SAME WAY DAME COULD HAVE LEFT THE BLAZERS. THEY WANTED TO WIN WHERE THEY WERE. THEY CHOSE THERE TEAMS OVER MONEY THEY COULD HAVE MADE. THATS LOYALTY OVA MONEY. BY THE TIME THEY LEFT THERE TEAMS THEY DIDNT GET HALF OF WHAT THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN.
BY DEMON. NAW YOU NOT THAT THE DEVIL WONT EVEN WANT YOU.
GOD KNOWS BARABAS'S STILL ROME EARTH.
LOYALTY WHIT GOD IS 4 LIFE. AND AFTER LIFE
Melo with the old school pelle
Yo where did melo get that mug from I want one.
Melo had a good team.
I'm happy for Dame, I knew he wouldn't win shit in Portland, and we couldn't give up draft picks and players like Grant and Ant or Sharpe for the like of OG, paskal one year rental
Durant picked Suns, Brooklyn gave up Durant for basically nothing and didn't want to trade Mikal B for anything
Or wanted way too much for him
Hecks no, best option is to trade Dame and trade him on a contender cause he deserves that. And we can rebuild and in 5 years while all of these talented players retire we can maybe contend
Mero says “you know what I’m saying” fucking constantly it’s so grating. He also can’t hang when Melo’s talking ball he just doesn’t understand the game at close to the same level.
It's cool for street talk but this is a podcast Melo is trying to expand nationwide. He def need someone else to help out.
@@KiNGMe21yeah I think they need a 3rd dude who know ball, and Mero be there to mediate etc kind of like podcast p lineup
@@TimDaGoof yup, I'm with you. This immediately reminded me of Podcast P. The black guy on Podcast P had to cut back on trying to be funny because I think he came across as a try-hard. He started doing his homework and had begun asking guests really good questions. Now the show is MUCH better.
@@KiNGMe21 facts!
LMAO
Melo you gotta get Mike to retro the Jordan line. I need them m7s and m8s back
this show is it 🤣🤣 Mero was plotting whole time mfs thought he fell off lol
"Our loyalty will kill us" but bailed on Denver despite them surrounding him with decent lineups 😆
They were planning on blowing the team up to rebuild, that’s why he decided to leave
@@davidwilliams3440these clowns don’t know anything about melo
@@slycooper1979 Only clowns buy that load of bull 😆
You don't wanna rebuild, but you gutted out the roster of the Knicks with your trade. When you could have signed the following year with them instead.
Guess what, you ended up rebuilding too 😆
Even ruined Amare's run. They were rolling that time. Everything went downhill after the trade.
He wears those glasses to bed
that northface butta bro
I really thought melo would have had a big baller brand with one franchise,,, melo would have had 3 of them in Detroit off the love... Fast forward when melo was not in the league my conspiracy theory is he was injured.... My guy was super fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 a flame that came with the game.... Aint no way his love was in ny on film to win it all as if they were going to give him three,, they couldn't do that!
Melo one of my favs to watch so no shade at this. Let’s be real melo was only loyal to the money if he wasn’t all that stingy with his contracts maybe they could of surrounded better players to go at championship Carmelo Anthony was loyal to the money!
Co-host needs to step up…his quick come ups/come backs do not cut it against Melo’s IQ
Milwaukee should sign melo or Lakers
Jeff Teague would kill as a third host…but he already got a podcast
Mush mouth is terrible he dragsssssss his words and takes centuries to finish a sentence.
There is no more loyalty in sports anymore. Blame the fans.
Blame the owners
There's never been loyalty in sports. If you're not the face of the franchise, you're expendable. And owners have gotten smarter. If you're a mid 1st-2nd round exit team, they'll sell high and go into rebuild mode. See the Jazz trading Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert
@@cottonmather8146 because you can't make it look like your blot trying. That when the fans will turn on you. If you are a top 10 player and the team isn't all in for a championship, you should be out. Dame, AD, Butler and KD.
@@kevinhousen2791 Butler? lmao now I know you're not serious
@@cottonmather8146 Butler left Philly and Minn. because dudes weren't serious about winning. Look how many times Butler has been in the finals since he left. The top players in the league play for chips or they won't be seen as great players when it all said and done.
Didn’t know Melo was 5%
This podcast would be a hit if they got a third host , wonder what desus is up to?❤
You can tell Melo never really respected coaches lmao
who was the best coach he had? lol
It all fairness he never had a great coach even in college boheim was a throw the ball to melo type and he won natty as a freshmen on a mid squad. So he has every reason to not see the necessity of great coaching 😢
Melo was loyal but to the bag but not winning. Can’t blame him though for that, it’s a business.
You just believe anything Nick Wright be saying don't you? 😂😂
@@muntasircooper2782 I don’t like Nick Wright. That boy just saying crap for TV. Fake sport news if you will. I watch a documentary of the Redeem team. Lebron became a beast after being teammate with Kobe but Melo didn’t want to be great like that and work hard like that. That may be a reason he was out of the league for a while. Before the redeem team, I would say you will be ok with either Melo or Lebron but afterward everybody know the King rules!! Also nothing wrong with getting the bag with no championship, WIN IN LIFE!!
His co host is a goofy that's the problem
I don't agree Denver had a better chance at a chip then the Knicks they were having 150 point games before this no defense 3 pt era
They would’ve went to the Finals in 2009 and would’ve faced Dwight’s Orlando Magic in the finals. Kobe went nuclear and beat them in the WCF, those Nuggets did far more than any Knicks squad he was on. He never had a losing season until joining the Knicks.
@@ptahhoteptmu264 facts
Melo please find another cohost, this dude energy is jittery and annoying
Exactly 💯
Melo sounds like he's losing his "marbles" = he was never "loyal" to anyone other than himself = Melo ALWAYS took the MONEY over making his team better to "WIN" championships because MELO didn't value winning over his "ego/pride", while ignoring that he'll have to "lie" on his ego/pride after he retires, realizing CHAMPIONSHIPS are everything to a pro-athlete, since making MONEY's "MANDATORY" to be called a "pro" anything
Thx for that rant Jeremy Lin 😂
@@SumDumGui damn, you just said you're a dimwit, without saying it #congratulations
This where your wrong melo wanted to stay in Denver he reached the conference finals & they wanted to rebuild when they already had a winning roster what star franchise player would want a rebuild after almost making the finals it made no sense atp melo requested a trade it was ya can rebuild but it’s gone have to be without me no one can be mad about that
@@frankmiller5074 Melo wanted the money & you can't talk/type your way around that simple fact
@@J-Hue losing’s not loyalty = Melo stayed because they could offer him the “MAX”, which he DEFINITELY didn’t deserve, but he took it instead of making the team better = Melo or you will never be able to talk your way around the fact that he chose money over success/winning, when he was already wealthy, enjoying life changing money for over a decade = Melo chose to be a loser & I’m okay with that because he’s okay with it
Pick and roll all day because dame getting old in the knees, also it’s only his first year there don’t let the media rush shit
I’ve been preaching for years that the loyalty aspect of sports is nonsense. It’s a business. Period. No if and or buts. Look at what happened to Jrue Holiday and countless others who stayed loyal and available to their respective teams. But there is no uproar for a team making the best decision for their franchise but fans get upset when a player wants to go somewhere they believe is better for them. It’s insanity. Player are and should only be loyal to a team as long as they are doing what’s best for them. Tired of this fake loyalty bs that was created by owners and the media in the first place to control players. No other profession ridicules u for doing what’s best for u and your family except sports. They got yall so brainwashed
No Ring Talk
Could have done without that laugh at .35 seconds..

Who the hell starts a podcast with someone else and the premise is to interview your co-host 😂. People say anything on here
I couldn’t wait to listen to Melo on a platform like this but his cohost is borderline unbearable. You bring up friction amongst Bucks team and you bring up Middleton jersey sales?! Get me outta here
Why are y’all wearing the same clothes?
Wtf is melo talking about. How you gonna compare Denver situation from back then to Portland… denver was not in rebuild mode they actually made the playoffs that same year they shipped his traitor ass out… only reason they traded him was because he was dead set on being in New York and Denver didn’t want to lose him for nothing… funny thing is Melo never even made it to a conference final again and Denver would draft a #15 years later that will actually get his jersey hung in the rafters while Melo has been forgotten for all the good he did in a nuggets uniform… karma
Loyalty or money?
Not when you can win 😂
Yeah like staying loyal to a medicore player like Melo
Melo you deserved ROY but you was lazy G and didn’t want to play defence.
I feel like bro loyalty to Portland only came from him being So close to OAKLAND, I don’t think it was that deep
It’s more than that. A lot of people take pride in not leaving a team. Especially with the way fans have perceived people like Kobe and Dirk. But the fact is, these team GMs don’t give a damn and they didn’t do enough for Dame in Portland
Nah some people really ride for situations tht they decide to commit to. He spent 10 years there. His kids from there his biggest fans are there. It just hits different to some people.

There’s nothing wrong with Dame wanting to leave, rather it’s the process Dame took TO leave. Purposefully diminishing your trade value then whining that POR didn’t want you back AFTER the fact was unprofessional & gross behavior. A whole summer full of nonsense just to end up in a different location then originally intended
