  • A severe business exodus from downtown Los Angeles is accelerating day by day , Historically, downtown held a dense concentration of banks, department stores, restaurants and movie palaces that drew residents and visitors of all socioeconomic classes, but after 2020 the area began to experience an economic and social decline to the point of complete collapse, downtown is unrecognizable from what it used to be before 2020.

You're right. It is intentional. These properties will be bought at fire sale prices by Black Rock and other investment firms. Small real estate investors will be pushed out. Private property will no longer be attainable to most citizens-that's already started. As Klaus Schwab of the WEF said"By 2030 you will own nothing and be happy".

As a Polish individual who resided in the USA for over 35 years, I experienced a gradual decline in quality of life each year since my arrival. Four years ago, the tipping point was reached, prompting my family's return to Poland. We now reside happily in Warsaw, enjoying its safety and cleanliness. Our daughter, born in California, Orange County refuses to entertain the thought of returning. This decision ranks among the best in my life. It's not solely a California issue; the entire country is crumbling while its elites prioritize excessive spending on endless wars and undocumented immigrants.

As a Czech born, who has now lived in five countries, including 33 years now in the USA, I almost did as you have. But I know better the hisory of Europe and had a strange feeling Europe is soon to suffer a similar fate. So it would be out of the Frying pan, into another frying pan. My mom said it well in the early 2000's when she said to my father "you know better than to ever want to move back. There are cycles of history that always repeat in Europe. It's great now - but we need to remember that Europe will always be in a war eventually. She seems to have been right. Europe is a crazy place now, kind of like Democratic cities were fifteen years ago. Europeans just can't help themselves. They all hate their neighbors at some level. I grew up with Poles in Canada. The Poles were pretty brutal in their own hates and prejudices. And the Czechs are wimps. Europe - no thanks. Not for a long while with what the EU is up to. But good luck.

I cant see anyone wanting to live in the apartments there unless the rent is cheep and they cant afford to move...and in that case is very sad as well...This is Tracey and I thank you for the video. My grandmother who was very poor always said, "Just because your poor does not mean you have to be dirty. All you need to stay clean is a bucket, soap, and a will." The will part is especially key. What infuriates me the most is that if your poor or bad off don't waste money on spray paint. Save that money for food or clothes or a tent! There is no excuse for leaving trash around. Public trash cans exist. Poverty is hard to get out of, but a mindset willing to do better is vital for survival.

Sort of makes me wonder who’s paying the taxes on all of those empty buildings. Who is/are the owner of record(s)? Given the state of them and the derelict surroundings, I can’t imagine anyone will be doing any leasing or selling. The old ones break my heart with all of the fine details and workmanship buildings used to have. It’s such a shame it’s all just sitting, slowly falling apart.
For the structures that are still in fairly good condition, rezoning them for homeless shelters, drug clinics, childcare. It’s likely too costly but it would be a huge help to those with nowhere to go. Better than making outdoor toilets out of old doorways.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles throughout the 70’s-90s. I left after the riots. This is just heart breaking. I remember when these places were open and thriving. I agree, shame on some of these politicians to let it get this way. Thanks for reporting. 👍🏽

Yep & I was there in the 60s also. Left after Rodney King. Absolutely disgusting. Can't even think of going back. I see it all right here.

I agree. Politicians, policies, laws and most important; the people. For it is 'they' whom vote and agree to the conditions surrounding them.

And the worse it gets...the more the voters reward these corrupt politicians...by voting them in again. Insane...how...how bad does it have to get before people stand up and vote them out??

@@petercampbell3817 I'm in Az now. I thought it was a pretty "straight up" state. But I went through the last 2 elections here. Both were fake. Everybody here knows it.
The uproar went on for years. A leaked cell phone video showed the new governor swearing in. She made it into an absolute foul mockery, live, and in real time.
I'm sure the video is still up somewhere.
Funny thing is, they still talk about the "next election". Except it's not really funny.
      ------
"I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this - who will count the votes, and how."
      -------
Even Snopes proved that one as verified
      My point/observation?
Who in their right mind would vote for this..any of this...
      It's complete insanity.
But people, real people, still have "hope".
      We'll see what happens...

All those trillions spent over seas, should have been invested in infrastructure.

It's nothing wrong with the infrastructure in downtown LA. It's greed and capitalism.

Yep! On 9:51 it's the old Cecil Hotel, where that notorious case of Elisa Lam took place.
