It comes with a 10m cord which is above average. I did take mine off when it got damaged and added a 20m cord from an extension reel. The video is on here somewhere. Be aware though, it makes the vac top heavy when you add the rolled up extra cord.

Is it possible to put a longer cord like a 50" on this? Just bought a felix but the cord is short. If so is there a certain type of cord I need?

Why bot just go and buy some 2 core cable, seems pintless tk kill a perfectly good extension lead.
