    In this video, we show you how to fit a replacement power cord (flex, cable, lead or wire if you prefer) to a Sebo X1, X1.1, X4, X5, X7, X8 or XP Series vacuum cleaner. Don't buy poor-quality budget flexes from platforms like eBay and Amazon. Cheap Chinese cables fail prematurely and are a false economy. Spend a couple of pounds more and get a good quality flex. Our own Sebo Shop replacement cables meet and exceed OEM specifications and also have the correct cable tidy clip near the plug.

    Great instructional video! I'm replacing a power cable on a X4 tomorrow. Also, great tip on the handle captive nut!

    Definitely deserves a like and comment - the broken cable is clearly a common failure and your tip to invert the handle is pure gold; ask me how I know 🙄

    I eventually replaced mine today but stumbled every step of the way even while rewatching this video. The cussing and stress. Now I know how to do it if it ever needs doing again. Very fiddly.

    Great video but I have a strange problem when re-fitting the handle. The handle retaining screw seems too small in thread size to screw into the metal insert within the handle moulding... just "falls through" so to speak. Screw is the correct one that I removed and metal insert in the moulding is lined up with the hole in the metal handle casing. Comparing the hole sizes in the casing and the moulding insert, the insert hole diameter is clearly larger than the hole in the handle casing. What am I doing wrong?

      Are you sure you haven't got the screw mixed up with another? Take the captive insert out and try the screw in it.

    Hi, is there a video to change the handle switch? Mine has thr same issue, I replaced the cable and after a spark came out of the switch I presume that's knackered🤦

    Good stuff, I've got to do this on one of mine. Where can I get one of those grommets please?

    • @ManchesterVacs
      @ManchesterVacs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The grommets are here: seboshop.co.uk/sebo-spare-parts/sebo-xp-spares/cable-entry-grommet-x1-x4-x5-x7
      You can get on the same time as you get the new flex.

      My sebo felix was acting very strange, it stopped working and so we replaced the motor ,it eventually stopped working, so we had it in the lift fir 2 years then I decided to have a another look at it . But what a surprise it worked but the wire to the switch did what yours did . It worked for a few months with me wriggling the wire but it's as dead as a Dido now. Could it be the switch or the power cable ? Kind regards Tracey

    I just noticed the handle on the bad one was white, but the one you fixed was black!!! Why is this 😮
