This book is Awesome! I love the Lean-To-Shed the most (page 98). The plan th-cam.com/users/postUgkxe9yi0sulKgsp0VJJCIrLWWkvVqcU7LFR is to attach it to the back of my brick house. I also like how they walk you through the many different steps of construction, which is important for the less experienced like me.
It’s a natural instinct for us to focus in on our own imperfections, yet truest judgement comes from those around you who you impact. Your “crooked” face, coupled with a soothing personality and an imagination on fire come across as being as close to perfect as many of us could imagine. Cheers to you and the components that make you such a beautiful person.
I think your doing an awesome job. I been doing custom woodworking for 40 yrs. but my wood is delivered to me ready to be milled. You have to find the trees, cut them down, move it to your location then mill it, WOW. My hat off to you! It's not just the projects that you do it's the work that go's into getting the projects done that amazes me. Wish i could be there to help you.Your an amazing woman inside and out.Your husband should be proud of what you accomplish out there.
True love indeed. She get to play outside and build things with her hands, she keeps in physical shape by biking lifting and doing the things she loves and has things she needs to keep a beautiful home and a loving husband. What else could a smart beautiful woman need.
You know what Michy ...I now agree 100? with you, by doing all these many projects and having a professional career in the same time- its always good to get the job done before reaching the age of 30 years old....clever girl you are well done.
Besides enjoying watching you try to figure out how to build these log structures, I love that you don’t take yourself too seriously. Your freakin’ hilarious. Keep them coming. I get to cheer you on and have a good chuckle with each of your videos.
Hi Michelle , Really love your channel. You are a great worker. Its hard to believe that someone can be that dedicated and put her all into some very hard and difficult, Keep up with your motivation and passion. Love it. Dave in Ohio
Thanks Michelle!!!! You may not see your videos as a motivation for other people. But if a person starts to watch any of your videos they have to think , How can someone have this much enthusiasm and drive in such a dire surroundings. Keep up on what your doing. It is path that not to many could hand, But it will get into the minds of many to step up their own routine, The best to you, Stay safe, And always be careful. Dave in Ohio
I was machine operator for 43 years and we called all skid steers, Bobcats as they were the first brand... , P.S , there's a great post hole attachment for that Bobcat...
Wow you are one strong willed and focused person. Was watching you deal with dragging logs back to your build site from the woods. You could really use a log arch. Keep up the great work.
You are an impressive puma/cougar/bobcat with many talents…..Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année from Montreal….I had a 200 + acre farm for over 20 years where I did many similar projects to yours…I do miss it a lot and love seeing you do yours….cheers….
Nice work, and you have a beautiful face, and amazing eyes. You have a lot of talent, and you're a hard worker. Well done! I enjoy your videos. Thank you!
I'm new to your channel and watching you. I've cut wood for a lot of years and yet I don't know how many years that you have been use a chain saw. You look as if your very at home with one in your hands. If I had met someone like you in the woods cutting like you do, I would have thought you would have been cutting for years
Caught your video with dog and baked goodie, 👍❤️ Looking forward to your return. Best wishes for your recovery . You are the most inspirational young woman I have ever encountered. Seeing you down the trail...🙏♥️
LADY U WORK HARDER THAN ANY MAN I KNOW,, WOW I WISH EVERY WOMAN COULD KEEP UP TO U BUT ANYWAY UR A BLAST TO WATCH AND GOOD LUCK IN EVERYTHING U DO AND ALSO YOUR SURGERY.
Well done Michelle, Happy Birthday and all the best from the Ozarks. So many positive takeaways from your video the one I want to comment on is when you said I wish someone would have “ bleeping” told me about the best method for predrilling the support and the post at the same time. My comment and compliment to you is this… LEARNING BY DOING is a method from which you’ll never forget or get frustrated with, as long as you go into a task with the “Beginners” mind you’ll for sure learn a new way of doing something and for sure you will remember it and recall “Why” it’s the preferred way of doing something. Someone could have told you ahead of time to do the predrilling in the manner in which you figured out on your own, however you may not have learned why it is important to do it that way, just “that’s what he/she said to do”. In this way you learned the “Why” and for that you now have a basis for other tasks. Keep on Learning by doing and sharing with others.
“I’m on my way to being a cougar “, that’s funny! Really nice seeing you enjoying the forest and finding those right logs to work with. I worry a little for you doing these projects mostly solo, make a small first aid kit with a couple good compression bandages and some Quik Clot or Celox just incase.....your family needs you. ;-)
It's funny there are alot of tricks for working by yourself. Welders prep surfaces, put them in position with clamps and magnets, then they "tack weld" to hold the pieces in place, then they relax and do a weld completely. Same with anything you build, tack it first like you did the corner bracing(screws, small nails, clamps)... BTW you have a hell of a lumber yard!!
Hi, May I blather a bit? As a Carpenter, Humbly may I say, as called by others, a Master Carpenter, I have learned to not get hung up on, doing a perfect job. I strive to do the best I can in each situation. Notice I allowed the situation to have a share in the outcome? I struggle less when I admit it is not just me that is the force creating from wood the things I build. The world around me has its hands in every thing I do. You, have a fabulous talent for smart effort and with that, you are gaining experience, which...is never had until "after " it is needed. Truly. Now, in a more beer and a campfire spirit, You are doing a great job and I get a kick out of your choices. Good Job. Truly. George.
my father, brothers, uncles were all tradesmen... had to solve similar problems every day... some hilarious events... some serious thinking.. some easy days.. some disasters.. ..all done together... well done you.. ..respect..
Happy birthday Michy. I loved your crooked face analogy, perfect! When skidding your logs you might want to try using a timber hitch. It will tighten up on the log where the bowline will not tighten up. I would also suggest you look at getting a tractor with a front loader grapple and a skidding winch for the three point hitch. It would work great with your sawmill. And I agree with Jim Crowell, your eyes are beautiful. Have a great week.
Hi Michelle , I Think That You Are Doing A Wonderful Job. It Doesn't Matter If It Isn't Quite Square Or Straight e t c Because Its A Barn.. It's Not The Taj Mahal .. For A Woman To Do This By Herself Is Totally Awesome, I Give You 10 /10 For Your Effort and Your Building Skills.. From What I See ,You Would OUT WORK a LOT Of MEN. You Are a Really Hard Worker.. Continue With The Great Work That You are Doing.
Michelle you are a beautiful young lady with high intelligence and strong thinker .you also have a work ethic beyond many and your videos are amazing .stay strong and hope your no where near the forest fires in BC take care till the net one

Bday wishes. Love how your now begrudgingly taking them chaps along. Safety first! If I have to you have to! Nothin wrong with a slightly crooked rustic build. Another great vid!
I'm glad you left it as is. This is your structure built by your own fair hands. If you want soemthing prefect buy a factory made one that thousands of others will have. Doing it your way all the little imperfections are what make it Perfect. Take pride in this my Dear. I added this before hearing your own description so Like minds it seems

Hello I'm a 70 yr old man you said you're not perfect dam !!! Close Remember The last person that was perfect was Nailed to a Cross Theirs not many women many Women could accomplish what you have may GOD BLESS YOU And keep you Healthy !!! ❤ 😁 🥂 🐕
You should have a 5' to 7' overhang at the front, to keep the weather off you entering & exiting, as well as shedding water away from the front of the structure. A 3' overhang at the back with a trench 1' wide & 1' deep running the full length of the back wall & off into a drainage area. Will keep the water away from the back of the structure.
Newbie here, just subscribed and looking forward to your finished project. Your very talented with power tools and I liked how you cut and braced the top logs. Uoughta be real sturdy.
It is so pleasant and restful watching you work insanely hard. Also, happy birthday! It was so sweet of your husband to even include the bottle of rug cleaner fluid with your birthday present. 🤣
Too funny!! I was noticing and critiquing the left handed swing and was quite impressed and then you come back on camera noting your new found talent! I have driven many spike like that and found need to switch it up to ensure symmetry in my biceps… 😉
It is a treat to see a beautiful woman who can do all kinds of things for herself. Most women would be complaining about the bugs ,the weeds and everything else that that doesn’t fit her fancy.
Love the perseverance. For hauling the logs out consider getting a snatch block to run the cable from the winch through. It gives you a mechanical advantage and allows you to place it in a tree such that you would be lifting the logs up.and out and away and towards you.
Yeah, we Jeeper's use snatch blocks all the time on the trails. Fairly in expensive. Grab a "tree" strap too if you don't have one (basically a sling with D ring on it).
I used to be a photographer, when someone told me “that doesn’t look like me” I would hold their photo up to the light and show them a reverse image of themself. Almost everyone was amazed of the difference. Also if you do a mirror image of your right side and a mirror image of your left side it looks like two different people, sometimes they look related sometimes not. I don’t think you want to be a cougar! Thanks, I enjoy watching you teach yourself how to build. You learn fast and not afraid of work, a great combination . 👍
