This video tells us a lot more than the general website of an average buscompany. The content shows us how extremely busy and responsible the job is! We passengers never realise that a busdriver must be 800% alert in trafic for 100% of the time! And you will be non stop distracted by different passengers with very different needs, mechanical issues and announcements. My respect from all the passengers!
This Channel has come such a long way Sean the presentation and editing is fantastic so great to see you continue to promote the industry well done mate
Great video! That's a hell of a long way to go dead in the morning. The most I go dead in the morning is 9 miles. Love those b7rle's. We used to have loads of them here but they got rid for new enviro 400 mmc's. Keep the videos up, I'm enjoying them :)
OH MY GOSH, I can't believe my eyes, the Yorkshire driver actually drives my bus route, for sure next time I'm giving you a tip, you posted this on my birthday last year, I've subscribed to you for sure now, can't wait to watch more of your videos, see you on the bus soon, keep the good work up
I love your Videos I've recently applied to Lothian Buses as a trainee bus driver i have passed by Theory , Hazard Perception and cpc Module 2 and due to start practical training on the 21st any tips you can share with me on passing :) Thanks for the videos
I have a couple of questions for you. 1- what is your most favourite bus to have even driven or have even wanted to drive? 2- would you ever drive a bendy bus?
Another fantastic video mate 👍🏻 Enjoyed the x1 bit of the video at the end as always, But as always keep up the good work that you and theflatcapbusdriver show and what it's like driving buses in Yorkshire there is no better place to drive really, See you hopefully on an x1 soon buddy 👍🏻
Eyup, glad I found your channel and antons and flat caps, I've got my interview and assessment day next week at olive grove, really fancy a career change but I've read all the negative reviews on indeed, please tell me it's not as bad as some make out.
No defiantly not bad, it's how you make it but I absolutely love the place, so many routes you should not get bored and there's a great viraity off bus types too
Cheers for the quick response, I guess like most reviews the people who don't like are quick to criticize, those that are happy are less likely to post positive reviews, although there were quite a few. I will see how it goes Monday morning, any tips mate?
@@TheTopGhia best advice for the job it's self is it's as easy as you make it for yourself, follow the rules and you'll be fine. For your assessment brush up on your road signs, make sure you drive properly on your driving assessment. Just be yourself We're all one big family at the depot we all look after each other
To the bus depot lol 😂😂😂 Same goes with trains they go to a depot A depot is a place for trains and buses to live whilst not needed So they get fixed and fueled etc And lorrys have depots to
Amazing video as always! Only dislike I have is the intro. Feel like it's been done quite quickly and very basic. Maybe use a couple of pictures (full size) with a tune you like that engages the viewer more. With that peace of music, when a potential beat comes in, your logo appears. Anyway, hope you take on board, I'm not criticising, just my opinion to help you. Amazing channel and vidoes! Love the comedy and keep it up! Happy but safe driving 😀
Hello mate I know this is probably a stip8d question but how do bus drivers know where to go do they have to Remeber all the routes or do u have some sort of gps
Oofftt - some shift and Greggs is ideal for lunch! :-) Got a favourite selection? Let me guess the first bus you drove would maybe have been a Wrightbus Volvo B7RLE then the next Mercedes Citaro? Am I close or way off track? lol Awesome video and keep up the great work Shaun!
Bacon sandwich in a morning with a flat white :( its my downfall 😂 first bus is correct the second is a streetdeck demonstrators that looks more like a Gemini from the front and it also has a glass stair case ❤️
I absolutely love the glass staircase 👌👌 yeah that route can be terrible with parked cars but I’m used to weaving in and out with the tight routes I did at tiger
Coachandbusmarket is a good place to look, as well as eBay. There's also bus preservation groups on Facebook where people advertise them. You can also just ask around local companies and see if they have any withdrawn or about to be withdrawn. If it's not too far, National Express West Midlands have quite a few ALX400 bodied Tridents and B7TLs available soon.
Shame Wrightbus has dumbed down the cockpit / dash on the new buses compared to the old B9s for example. The dash on the Streetshites etc just looks pish.
Oh. You go to Olive Grove Bus depot. I live very close to the depot. Near the Doctors on Park Grange Road. I go to City College. I’ll come down and say hi sometime. What your last name I can call for you when I’m down there.
could you do some of it without the fast moving stuff i wanna watch what your doing etc im not inspired otherwise lol ( former bus driver looking to go back )

Will Little always wanted to Drive a Dennis dominator and I would love to drive a bendy bus maybe one day I’ll get a chance

Haha I drove opposite way past you at 18:38 I thought it was you driving that X1. I can’t help but look at every driver to see if I spot you lol.
😂 it’s like a game of wally
I love your songs that's why I like watching your videos

You guys are super
Hellish intro music, more stroke inducting than the mRNA jab
On your 2nd half of your duty were you driving a streetlite
Streetdeck 35101 I believe
Nice!!!
Will’s MM2 Channel 👌thanks
What happens to first busses after they go out of service?

@@CS_22 Sheffield have Volvo B7TL Geminis with that dash board aswell
It’s a Volvo B7rle Eclipse first half and then it’s a Gemini body but streetdeck dashboard
69024 and 35101 👌👌 had a good shift both nice to drive
Hello mate I know this is probably a stip8d question but how do bus drivers know where to go do they have to Remeber all the routes or do u have some sort of gps
We get route trained when we start at a depot. No GPS, we have to remember all the routes.
As mike said we’re learned the route a couple of times and we just have to remember, no gps to guide us
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver ok that's crazy having to remember all theese different routes
we get used to learning I find it easy to look for landmarks but once you've done it a few times it comes naturally
Shaun have you managed to train on the 84b Doncaster
I haven’t
Will you train on that route
Fortnite Frolic probably not unless I was needed at the Doncaster depot :(
That Yorkshire Bus Driver hope you do anyway because it’s a lovely route through Fishlake and sykehouse

Thanks 🙏
Some entertainment after getting stranded for half an hour
Stranded
That Yorkshire Bus Driver yes this is true
That Yorkshire Bus Driver bingo sing fell off
Good video! Was that 35101 that you were driving after your lunch break?
Good spot it was 35101 with the lovely glass staircase
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver Thats a nice one! You seem to be a very good driver, especially on the 36 with all those weirdly parked cars!
I absolutely love the glass staircase 👌👌 yeah that route can be terrible with parked cars but I’m used to weaving in and out with the tight routes I did at tiger
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver I love that Staircase too! Tiger routes are quite small in general from what I have seen!
DAF Man it’s more rural up there though 😂
Looking to buy a double decker bus. Anyone know a company selling any of them?
