Useful video - interesting point made about the gap between the rear wheels, out of all the videos I've watched so far this is the first video to mention it. I'm just waiting on a start date, so I'm sure it'll all come more relevant in due course.
not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend recently =)
Something makes me think you wouldn’t really enjoy driving that particular bus Shawn, those Wright bodied StreetDecks are the bane of a lot of fleets. And those Wrightbus alarms have given me many earaches!
That Yorkshire Bus Driver I don’t like riding them! So cramped and slow! Mind if I ask if you have a particular favourite bus? If so, what’s its number?
MrGriff500 Volvo buses with Wrightbus Eclipse 2 body. I also like the Dennis Darts and Tridants but the Tridants are abit cramped especially where the way the accelerator pedal is. Mercedes Citaros are ok but anything streetlite/Maxi or streetdeck then no lol

I don't know if I mention in one of your videos but there's a Double Decker bus that I sometimes get that the front window is coming away from the bodywork of the bus and I was out in town earlier and I saw a bus driving along with faulty doors and I thought buses shouldn't be on the road if the doors don't shut probably as it's health and safety

Great video and its very interesting that how bus drivers do their job out of the public eye such as vehicle checks :). One thing I did notice was that the driver didn't test the window vents. Unless its not mandatory or I missed it lol ;). Keep up the great videos and all the best.

It shows correct inflation off both tyres 😊😊 hope this helps you out
Did this bus need the "unlock" key, not sure of the name or whether or not you put it in before or after the isolater switch?
Bless you Sir you are amazing gentleman explaining as much as possible. Thank you
What a lovely clean bus.

I don't believe me
Same goes to the streetshites!! Horrible rattly things to drive and the brakes are too sharp on them!!!

A good video, except that Worst Group used a Wrongbus Shitdeck (if you like them, no problem).
Does the air pressure need to be on minimum 8 bar?

Wow you guys do it different. We check engine fluids first then start up, switch on every light we can and the walk around.
We don't check fluids fuelers do that
YOU HAVE FUELERS? YOU GET TO GO HOME UNCOVERED IN DIESEL?!
Sorry. I’m just very jealous. We fuel and clean our own vehicles, inside and out.
This is fantastic.
Thanks
Nice job bro
And in most depots now you get 5-10 minutes tops to do these checks
Great video as always Shaun. Hope you ok & you having a great weekend 👍🏻😀
Always :)
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver that good, my weekend been great 😀😄
Thank you for this video, really helpful and informative! :)
Great hope it will help a few people
that streetdeck is now in bath as bath spa unibus
I wasn't even aware busa drivers wore seatbelts. Useful to know before I start my training with First.
Select buses have seat belts fitted its not a legal requirement to have one thou first just choose to fit seat with them for driver saftey
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver Thank you for that. How difficult is the pcv class d theory test if you don't mind me asking?
The older buses didn't have seatbelts. I first noticed seatbelts on the Wright Gemini Eclipse II.

It depends on the fault
@@ThatYorkshireBusDriver True, it seemed that the doors haven't closed probably and I wish I taken the picture so you can see what I mean

I was on a bus that had the nearside mirror missing. Must have knocked it off on route as didn't think it would go out of depot like that.
Should not be driven like that

Was there 14 years never checked bus once no one does just jump on pick your rubbish up like a bin man that job
I didn't know buses in the UK still had manual ramps all ours here in Dublin are automatic
Only automatic ramps we have are of I'm not mistaken is the double door buses in London
Automatic ramps were removed as they always go wrong
That beep was the doors open not your air
Dose your bus company allow you to give change to passenger only asking because Cardiff buss don’t give change?
We don't have to carry change when we start it's down to each driver but we have a voucher system for if we can't give change

See you Tomorrow Shawn I will be wearing a Under Armour Backpack when I go to the Open Day.
i forgot that seatbelts exist on these newer buses
Unable to check rear inner tyres. Seat belt wrong checked. Vertical pull on seat buckle and release under load
This bus is now with First West of England!

just been waiting 1 hour for the bus to arrive ridiculous service always late, rubbish service
Love the need to vent about it on my video 😂
Shaun no no no why in first my dad has being working at olive grove for 36 years and doesn't do this
This man's full of his self the truth of it you get 6 minutes to cheak the bus he's to 30 he's a lier
10 minutes to check, and this guy is a test examiner, so he knows his stuff.
