    Tried this recipe over the weekend. It was SO DELICIOUS I didn't even get a chance to snap a picture of the final product - my family ate it all up! MARION ROCKS!

    I made your miso spaghetti just the other day and it's just lucious Marion. My hubby asked me this afternoon to reheat the left overs for him and I was so happy that I'd also saved the pasta water because I used that liquid to bring the spaghetti back to its pre-refrigerated state. I was happy to reheat the pasta for him, but so bummed that I didn't get to the spaghetti before him.

    Made it with baby oyster mushrooms that were on sale. Added a bird eye chilli for kick and omg... so so good. Your fusion pasta recipes are bomb! Thanks Marion

    I made a pasta using miso and whole butter and you are correct. Next level flavor burst.
    The addition of parmesan is genius.

    I want to eat (^ ^)
    Thank you for the nice video!

      It's great to see a Japanese person saying good things about a dish using miso~
      I just got my first package of shiro miso recently, but couldn't find katsuobushi, so my miso shiru wasn't good (I tried using dashi made from rehydrating shiitake mushrooms, but its taste was overwhelming)..
      I was looking for other ways to use the miso and this looks so easy and tasty!!
      I have already used the miso to make a simple marinade for chicken (with honey, rice vinegar and a little miso - I'll use more next time~). It was so good fried and served over white rice! Amazing color too! ^^

    I'm a big fan of your recipes, specially the spicy ones!! I like how you substituted the usual suspect (cream) with miso paste to add that umami ooomph!! Any suggestion how to make the pasta sauce a bit thicker? Also, what do you think of using parsley instead? I was already a huge fan of you Marion but now I'm even happier with these creative fusion recipes 😍

    This...this was amazingly delicious! I've been to Italy, and their pasta isn't all that great. But when you get fusion of cultures and combine the best of different worlds, you'll end up with something delicious like this. Something Italians need to learn.

    • @katieaviss543
      @katieaviss543 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I lived in Italy for several years. Italian food is not that great. Every Italian restaurant, every pizzeria, they all make the same thing, nothing innovative, nothing interesting. I've been to Italian restaurants in the States that made way better Italian food than in Italy. I've had friends that came to visit me in Italy, and their reaction to their food was, "Meh."

    • @katieaviss543
      @katieaviss543 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamesarcher5060 I agree that the food is basically the same at most Italian restaurants but I enjoyed it as a tourist. Maybe it's different when you live there and are subjected to it all the time. Oh well, everyone enjoys different things

      @@jamesarcher5060 100% agree the pizza in italy was SO mediocre I was like... really?? I prefer american pizza? the only thing redeeming in italy was their gelato. everything we have here in the US is done better..

    Marion, I do something similar with Risotto. I use the gourmet mushrooms chopped up and added to the risotto last and have a stash of dried mushrooms (Asian and European) which I make a stock out of to use during cooking my risotto. I also use truffle salt to kick up the umami, but will look for some Miso to add another flavor bomb. Stay safe and test negative.

      Congrats! If you want to try a vegan version, substitute olive oil for the butter, and nutritional yeast for the Parmesan. To get some nutritional yeast, go to a store that has a bulk section and buy just enough to try it. It will taste a bit different, but just as good. Go easy at first. You don't need much.

      mushrooms and soy sauce are a good combo. However, soy sauce and white miso don't taste the same so it won't be the same dish. it would be like trying to substitute cheddar for brie.
