There is something about the way Rachel plays Keith's accents...I've seen other, perhaps more traditionally trained pianists play Emerson with great technical skill...but they sound like recital versions of Emerson. Rachel's playing captures Keith's intonation and the way he percussed the keys.
Has there ever been a blind concert pianist before? Not only did we have Emerson and the incredible music he wrote, which is enough by itself to contemplate, but we this miracle in her. Thanks for videoing this and keeping the camera on her!

A very emotional evening and a privilege to be there. One superb moment was when Jim Davidson came on to comfort Rachel during Fugue when she started to cry.
From start to finish. The love shown from audience, band, performers and orchestra was sometimes so overwhelming that tears began to flow. Widows, relatives, friends, musicians and fans; all displayed emotion with dignity. A truly wonderful evening. As well as ELP and various other prog rock bands, my main passion is Frank Zappa's music and to see Rachel playing with Dweezil Zappa (link below on another comment of mine) is so coincidental. I have front row, middle seats tickets for myself and my children for October 12th at the Birmingham Town Hall! Another nostalgic evening of first rate entertainment guaranteed. All the best Steve. Rachel is reall the only one who can play Keith's stuff as if it was meant to be played. Listening to her play reminds me of the first time I heard Mozart. There is just no easy explanation for such brilliance. You have to look outside out of what is known to even begin to explain such things.

I was 17 and saw one of only a dozen or so Works shows in Minneapolis in 77. I was a huge ELP fan but was there to see other tunes. At the end of Piano Concerto #1 Keith got a 5 minute standing ovation. It wasn't until many listens later that I grew to love this concerto and consider it the best song on the album. This is an amazing rendition. Bravo!

Thanks for keeping filming at the end and getting the full audience reaction, the other clips cut off at the end of the piece. We were there and this was the highlight of the evening, by a considerable margin.

I had never heard of her until seeing youtube video of 'endless enigma'. Wonderful performance but I was puzzled by her shifting on the stool then I realised she was blind. Found other videos including playing electric guitar a la Frank Zappa ! Extraordinary talent.

I have seen videos of her playing her synth keyboards and you can actually hear the sound of the keys. She is hitting them really hard.
