    I didn't know:
    - You need to stack dongles. I thought you have nothing in the first. The second factory gets the first level dongle, the third factory gets JUST the second level dongle, and so on.
    - You could run conveyor next to each other in the opposite direction.
    - The refinery is needed in the crafting chain.

Those are the same things that got me when I first started to get into the crafting system after it was updated last year.
It is kind of weird that the refinery has to be there to make it all work even if you won't need it at all due to using resource blocks which only give you refined chunks.
The best part is that after you get the crafting basics down you will be set to build way more advanced systems.
If you have any other questions just ask.
      Have a good one [8D)

First of all, thanks for this video. I have always struggled with crafting.
Does it have to be venture blocks to be able to put that into one silo, I guess what I'm asking... Does size matter? 8-0
Adding extra silos: Are they added before the refinery as well, or does that make a difference? I saw you put them in the wrong place to be useful in this particular case. I'm just confused about if it matters where the silo is as long as it's before the factories.

Your welcome! The only way size matters in this case is if you have enough storage to hold what you are scrapping. For example if you scrap a Geocorp resource block that contains 120 chunks it will over fill the large GSO silo which can only hold 90 chunks so you would need another silo to handle the extra.
Personally I have never noticed adding extra silos after to cause a problem, but they work best if they are before the refinery on the conveyor line so all chunks have to go past it in case you have some unrefined chunks in your system. It will make it more efficient that way and will have less chance of your system getting backed up. The extra silos that I added weren't really in the wrong place because they were before the refinery to keep everything flowing smoothly. I just did it that way so it would be more straight forward and easier to see what was going on. If you wanted you could even add silos to the other side of the loop that is right across from the component factories. The silos can be put anywhere as long as they are attached to the conveyor system of the tech. If you would like to check out a more advanced crafter I would recommend the Skycrafter. It has the two stage storage system that I mentioned in this video. Hope it helps. [8D)

@@reaperx1521 Silo's will pull items the wrong way on a conveyor?
I just finished the video on max crafting... for the 5th time. I think I'm starting to catch on a little. Looks like I might be able to tackle the next one.

    • @reaperx1521

@@scorpionleader1967 No the silos don't pull at all they just store chunks. The fabricators, component factories and the refineries are the only blocks that call for resources.
It seems like you are your way to some creative crafting [8D).

@@reaperx1521 I'm confused. How can you fill the silos you added, when the conveyor goes the wrong way?

@@scorpionleader1967 Oh yeah I forgot about that little detail. You would need to move your scrapper or receiver to the new end of the conveyor line. [8D)

Can anyone say why my factory do everything automatic except 4. tier components ? Even if I have enough material its not producing them and I am doing it manually . I have 4 component factory with one of them dont have dongle one of them have advanced one of them have complex the last one have exotic so I can produce anything but why 4. tiers are manual ?
