Thanks for the tips, I've never been able to make hovercrafts and with this video I may be able to! 😄

@@falchoin Also quick question, if you wanted to of course, would it be alright if you made some more tutorials or something (eg a plane, turret possibly or something that people may find hard to build) because terratech is still a pretty good game and it could help your channel grow possibly, up to you though 😁

@@unstyled3509 Well, since you asked what theme or tech type would you prefer for the next tutorial/tips style of video?

Hey, this was neat. I really liked how at the beginning you have all the hover pads in the same area to demonstrate average hover height. With hover height adjustment via the BF block available, I never really thought about this.
I was wondering if you could go over two things:
Hover bug tends to launch everything into the sky and struggles with the stabilizer. Are there any work arounds for either of these?
Which blocks are best for turning speed? I noticed the Hawkeye 2x1 adjustment block has more force than the BF 2x1 for example. I'm starting to suspect that the BF ones are not very good at all in fact, but they have the most mount points.

Nice and clear video! Hopefully I can now make something that's stable.

The fact that better future is meant for hovercrafts and not in the 2nd best hovercraft
Hawkeye best for speed, offense and defense cause pf the durability
    Hawkeye IS the strongest Type
    It might not survive much
But it will keep you alive

I have a lot of questions. how do you adjust hover height? I went into the controls and saw ascend and descend but I rebound them to z and c but pressing those keys does nothing it still wants to use the up arrow and down arrow -_-.
Secondly you said the use the bf clipper gyro but you never mentioned WHY they are so good or what exactly they do. On as side note the game has all these funny descriptions when you press i to learn more about a block but while that is fun and all it makes for poor understanding of what exactly a block does.
I have an issue with all the hover craft I've made (that's why I sought out your video) when I press the move button my craft takes forever to stop. could this be because I am using plan parts in some of my craft? I am not even building a large craft per say like medium/large-ish. I just want to be able to stop and go a bit better.
My craft wont stand still on hills, how do I fix that?

You can adjust hover height by using the BF Hover Power Controller block. The Trim Gyro is so good because it lets you adjust the resting pitch of the tech, even if it's not balanced weight-wise front to back. As for stopping, use the BF Stabilizing Computer. That makes any tech try to stop and sit still when no inputs are pressed. All 3 of those blocks are in the accessories tab for Better Future. Plane parts shouldn't prevent stopping.
Increasing mobility usually means using more props, adjustment thrusters, and/or hoverbug. Another option is to use full or partial anti-gravity, though retrofitting techs to use AG can be a balancing nightmare.
As for controls, make sure you're using the control scheme you've modified and that you don't accidentally have one key doing multiple things when you don't want it to.

I have problems with speed and brakes in making ones
    Can you help?

    • @falchoin
      @falchoin  ปีที่แล้ว

Sure, though most issues with speed and braking can be solved with fitting in more adjustment thrusters. The Hawkeye ones are my favorite since they work in nearly all directions and are reasonably durable. But the GSO and Better Future adjustment thrusters (especially the 2x1x1) are good too. Adjustment thrusters are better for braking especially since, unlike ion drives or propellers, they don't have a windup time for full effect.

If you're playing on PC, here's a link to the most recent version of it: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2559054171
The snapshot shown has the HE DLC skin, but you don't need it to load the tech.

maybe try speeding the video up a bit, like change playback speed because the channel owner may do it so they make sense or something, just a thought :)
