@@ThaVipaa that's true but those aspects still amaze me everytime. They hit my ears a bit like a breakdown, even the most breakdowns are overused, they still amaze everyone, for me it's exactly the same for symphonic aspects.
They are ex-members of a quite popular band called Drown in Sulphur. Apparently one of the members didn't agree with them on music and locked them out of all socials and everything, so they started this new project.
@@jacobmccarthy9480 How? Drown in Sulphur has always been generic deathcore even before the line-up change, Defamed are going symphonic deathcore which is much less generic and actually reaquires some musical prowess
Hey Birb, check out the new And Hell Followed With. The have 2 songs from an upcoming album already out, and another one coming soon. Would love to see you feature and talk about them
Why don't you check out Matt Heafy's blackmetal project Ibaraki with their song Tamashii No Houkai? It's a really interesting take on blackmetal and I think you'd enjoy
I feel you on the blast beats, I would rather have blasts on the feet and a normal drum pattern up top, I think that’s sounds way cooler. As much as I like this song, I still think In Tenebris is my fav from them so far.
When drummers forgo triggers and hit a blast beat with kicks that actually sound human, then I’m a huge sucker for some nice blasts. Even still, trigger induced machine gun blasts will still induce a partial chub.
One thing that I'm really looking forward to with Defamed's new album is the fact that It's looking to be based off of Dark Souls, which is full of so much metal shit that I'm surprised no other band has decided to write music about it yet. This song alone is based off of the Dancer of the Boreal Valley from Dark Souls 3, who's lore is pretty morbid and fucked up to begin with, and the song does a great job of telling her story in its own way.
METALBIRB please react to the long forgotten song by Lorna shore, The Absolution Of Hatred It is only a single and was never put in any other their albums
My only con for this song is that the solo didn’t feel very natural. I could be way off, but it ‘feels’ like something that came out of a stash of prewritten solos, rather than it being specifically written for this song. It felt a little jarring. I loved everything else though!
i agree 100% with you on the blast beat sections, its exactly why i dont like black metal or most of these new black metal influenced deathcore bands gaining popularity. symphonic deathcore isnt new and once youve heard those blast beat sections 1000 times it gets a bit boring.
As a Lorna shore fan, I like this but they sound like they’re trying to be Lorna shore instead of being similar but adding their own flare to it. Like I said still like the music but not very original
@onscape but you can easily tell that shadow of intent is shadow of intent. If I didn't see the band name before hearing this song I would of thought it was lorna shore tbh
Amazing and detailed review man! Thank you SO MUCH ❤❤❤🔥
Sheeeeeesh this the first time hearing and I think I've found another favorite 🤘😤🤘
Thanks for the banger!
I discovered them when they released circles a while ago and i love their mix of deathcore and symphonic. I'm a sucker for symphonic aspects on metal
For me it was Doves. As a noob to deathcore, Defamed showed me how artistic Deathcore can be.
personally i'm opposite when it comes to symphonic aspects especially in deathcore bc alot of the time symphonic backround sounds the same
@@ThaVipaa that's true but those aspects still amaze me everytime. They hit my ears a bit like a breakdown, even the most breakdowns are overused, they still amaze everyone, for me it's exactly the same for symphonic aspects.
@@Paulosf94 that makes sense
Same for me. Circles was fucking awesome.

And they are better off because of it. Defamed >DIS. Dom is a sick drummer tho, ngl
Drown in Sulphur is better

@@VioPLayable Cause I like slams. That symphonic shit is weak
@@jacobmccarthy9480 That's cool, I thought Sulphur Cvlt was sick too. Just for me Defamed's style is more interesting and makes more sense to my brain
i'm sold on this band; Defamed is freaking amazing and I'm just loving Deathcore recently.
I haven’t heard them before but I loved this and I’ve just added some of their stuff into my April playlist as a result. Thank you 😊
Lorina Shornio
This song is HARD!!! Thank you for introducing me to this band, I appreciate the shit outcha man!!!
👊🏼
I feel the same about blast beats, I seem to subconsciously just think about something else during those sections until the rhythm changes
This is heavy af!!!!😍🤘🏽 been trying to find bands similar to Lorna Shore!
Check out the first single Escape of the new project "K-usura". It slaps AF !! The drummer is Norman from Defamed
I've been a fan of Defamed since their Gasolina cover! They are so fucking good!!!
I still have yet to hear it...
@@METALBIRB it's hilariously good!! Lol
I've loved this band since they were known as Drown In Sulphur (until the drummer of DIS kicked everyone else out)
PLEASE MAN, YOU HAVE TO REACT TO GASOLINA BY THEM. IT'S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VIBE BUT THAT MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS BAND
Hey Birb, check out the new And Hell Followed With. The have 2 songs from an upcoming album already out, and another one coming soon. Would love to see you feature and talk about them
Spite-Caved In. Gotta react to it.
Fucking yes

Yea these are my boyz if you dig defamed y'all jump on Assemble the Chariots as well!
Totally agree with this analysis.

Always have liked their vocalist. His lows are great
Oh I got here fast this time lol

oh shit they released something new? nice
Dude!!! Defamed has been fire. Circles was dope as fuckk
the asthetics remind me of dark souls for a few reasons. the headpiece, the name "dancer" with blades, the blindfold. nice track.
also the lyrics
Grandissimo per l'intro
Just enough symphonic elements paired with good deathcore vocals.

This and Lorna Shore's stuff sound like they've been mixed by the same guy - snare fuckin' sounds like a floor tom 😃😅
Blackened Djeathcore is the goat

damn bro put some eyeglasses on and slap an Aristides on your hands and I'll mistake you for mad metal legend Ihsahn

2nd 💪
It's way too ironic to say Defamed is not copy & PASTA B)
Lorna Shore Smells So Bad, Don't Compare With Defamed... Per Favore 😉
