@@amberwasatomicWell that's because they never gave him a real relationship as they did with so many black side characters on Disney and Nickelodeon. Always a passing thought.
@@Dolphinboithis might also be a symptom of misogyny but the actor for Robbie is also seen in a better light than the actor for Tori, since people made up a beef with her and Arianna.
In a world where Victorious wasn't a kids show written by Dan Schneider would be a world where we would've gotten better storylines, actual development, and an actual finale...
Actually, I never thought of that. But that would be awesome if they did it now. An adult show with all the same characters and almost close storyline but 10× better. Of course it wouldn't be the same people playing the characters(almost in every remake it takes time to get used to new characters) but other then that a show like that would be soooo good. I hope they make one
Trina was called a lot of things in the show but ugly was not one of them. It was always heavily implied she was disliked because of her crazy personality and huge ego, not because she was physically unattractive.
I AGREE! people keep saying that Trina was the ugly one but the whole point of her character was that she is arrogant and doesn't get along with people
There were definitely a lot of context clues that showed how even strangers didn’t like Trina because she was physically unattractive to them. I think that stemmed from her being mid sized while all the other women in the show were extremely skinny. In “Wi-Fi in the sky”, Trina moves in front of Tori’s camera and her butt is the centre of the screen. From the guy’s disgusted reactions, I think the joke was supposed to be “she’s so fat that her butt takes up the entire screen”. Also in the Kesha episode, the kid wanted to kiss all three girls aside from Trina. There’s probably more examples, but I think there were moments that inferred how unattractive Trina was due to her weight ig, which checks out for the beauty standards at the time
The actress for Trina actually talked about in an interview once how she did get insecure playing her :( how she hated not only being sexualized when she objected to it (such as the pickle and lipgloss scene) but how they made her be such an unappealing character
LITERALLY LIKE FINALLY SOMEONE TALKS ABOUT IT. i think jade did some stuff too but she was probs only like that since beck was so fine with kissing girls in front of his gf apparently
I always liked Tori and Andre personally. They got along great (even as friends) and I like it when couples are shown to get along and support each other, they would’ve been a healthy and fun couple to see 😄
Honestly that's why I preferred them as best friends! I love that we got to see a teen guy and girl who were close friends WITHOUT it ever becoming romantic.
Hell no. There was no romantic chemistry between them, only a very strong friendship and that's okay. There was romantic chemistry between Andre and Jade though. I feel like Andre would make a good partner for Jade even though he's scared of her like everyone else is, like Beck he's strong enough to handle her. He comes from a bit of a difficult home life like she does so he can understand a lot of her pain. He can call her out on her crap and keep her in check but he will also be completely loyal to her and never so anything to make her insecure or ACTIVELY FEED her jealousy unlike Beck.
i never realized how prominent the pirate joke was 😭 i remembered it being said once but 3 times along with the “looky what i got” “NO I DONT WANNA SEE THAT AGAIN” absolutely wild 💀
I remember reading somewhere that cats personality changed so drastically cuz she was abused and sa'd but I never wouldve expected the theory that robbie couldve been the one who did that to her
I honestly liked that tori and andre were just friends. It was nice as a kid to see a purely platonic friendship between a girl and a guy. Nothing forced, just two people being friends.
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Trina/Beck. Beck says he likes girls who give him a challenge and she definitely would. His teasing of her in a few episodes seemed pretty lighthearted and never upset Trina. And she's vain enough where she'd love seeing other girls be jealous of her getting to date him. While she'd probably be just as jealous as Jade, I feel like she would be way more upfront and outspoken about it. And I think Trina's loud, over the top personality would mesh well with Beck's relaxed, passive attitude
Right! I think on the other side of that Trina doesn't get a lot of support from her family, and Beck is great at supporting his friends so that stability would help her let some of her guard down. Trina is also great at martial arts and stunts and Beck likes making movies and they could be really good together
I also remember when she said in that one trapped in Beck’s RV in the summer episode: “We need to get out of this STUPID RV!” *Beck looks at Trina* “Yeah, OFFENSE.” she tells to his face 😂 It makes perfect sense!
Andre works with the most people because his vibe just harmonized with the most personalities. He just seemed to bring the best out of people. When he had a crush on Jade I was skeptical till I saw them interacting. Jade just felt at ease with him and more vulnerable. I just feel like she wouldn't be as uptight and insecure with Andre, the only downside is their relationship would be devoid of real conflict and thus boring.
@@gjjijji Idk, Jade seems like she came at Tori with hostility because she was used to everyone trying to get at Beck and Tori was one of them. Andre seems like he has game but doesn't flirt as much as Beck does or passively let girls hit on him. Jade may start uncomfortable but would quickly realize Andre and Tori are only friends.
@@kronos1794 regardless I think Jade would have a problem with how close they are. Andre is comfortable enough to come over Tori’s house at night in his underwear. Another Challenge would be is Jade would have to learn to be more vulnerable with Andre when she used to being tough. Another angle they can go is culturally, Andre and Jade have different taste and interests. It would be interesting seeing the writers bridge the gap.
@@gjjijjiIdk, i feel like Jades toughness is offset by Andre even in the show. It wouldn’t suddenly become an issue just because they’re dating. She has nothing to be “tough” about with Andre
@@somnodaur8064 it’s different dynamic being friends vs in a relationship. Jade is gonna naturally revert back to what she feels comfortable with, which is making guys scared of her because of her insecurity. But what she will find is that she doesn’t need to with Andre.
Another thing about tori and Jade, kinda adding onto tori showing kindness to Jade, I feel like that time where tori helped Jade with her play to impress her dad was probably one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for Jade. Beck provokes her insecurities and her coldness. tori nurtures her confidence and soft side (:
Not to mention Beck never stood up when girls would try to flirt with him. He'd just stand there and not say anything... 🤦🏽♀Either Cat or Jade would have to do it, and that honestly annoyed me.
Jade and Tori are the best ship to me because even though Jade continued to gripe & complain about Tori. She couldn't stay away from her. To this day, Tori is still one of the few people who Jade actually engaged in physical contact with and didn't immediately threaten with violence.
@ErutaniaRose Right!! Jade just naturally exudes Bisexual or Pansexual Dom Vibes. That episode when she came over to Tori's house early (Tori none the wiser) and she stayed in her room always stuck with me. I'm still wondering what she did while in Tori's room alone and uninterrupted. Mind you, being in someone else's room is an important form of intimacy.
For Tori/Beck/Jade ship, I can understand why the show didn't go that route since poly relationships aren't really seen in a positive light, especially on a show targeted towards kids. As for the Andre ships... Yeah, Dan Schneider isn't really well known for giving his black characters more character development then what he's written for them, and what's written for them are usually harmful stereotypes. Andre is definitely one of Schneider's best written black characters( The only other one in my opinion is Charlotte from Henry Danger) but he's definitely gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to his relationships.
Yeah, but they're the most wholesome and down to earth (I'm talking in comparison to the other characters in the show... not that much compared to real life lol) And that doesn't make good TV entertainment on Nickelodeon, they'd be great on something like Hallmark. Did you notice Sam and Freddie was a lot more popular (even in canon) than Carly and Freddie was?
@@lisaearles4175 what more is expected? The audience was immature and childish then not to see Freddie was always best with Carly. Rather they were obsessed with seeing two characters who hated each other suddenly kiss and fathomed some tension there for a weird baseless reason. Now, as adults the world is healing and matured to see the obvious wrongs in that Freddie and Sam pairing. Especially those who a mature enough to detach from and see past their childish delusioning fantasies over it.
I feel like Jade and Tori were the most popular ship online back when the show was airing. Jori has had the most fanfics on the internet written out of all the ships back in the day. Though I think with the show coming to Netflix and the recent Tori/Victoria Justice hate train Beck and Jade and Cat and Jade have become a bit more popular in online fandom. Yet I still think there are a lot more Jori fanfics than anything else.
I 100% agree. People forget that this show came out in 2010 when the internet was sooooooo different back then. I hate when newer fans today don’t acknowledge a show’s history and the fandom culture that came with it, esp with ships. So many ppl I’ve talked to in recent years felt like Jori was never a thing when it was actually a huge thing back then. Even now, a lot of ppl still like it, but are just not as vocal about it like back then bc Jori is not as “trendy” or discussed like other ships/parts of the show
@@4lifeSHINeecos it’s not 2010 anymore. It’s not such a culturally impactful thing that most people would remember that lol. Also a large part of the fandom were mid to late Gen z so we didn’t even have social media and didn’t notice any of that, we just watched it for the music and laughs.
Hi here is my rant for why Andre fell in love with Jade for that episode and how it could have made a lot more sense if they had done it right. Everyone in the group in some way had this belief that Jade was scary and overdramatic, while so of that is of her own volition her and Beck's relationship was not the healthiest. So, when Andre is scared to work with her alone and then realizes that she is a completely normal and chill person sometimes, he falls in love with that part of her. I actually think that they could have done better with this storyline and kept it because they clearly wanted to make Beck and Tori a thing anyway. If they allowed for a slower development and a lot of communication, Andre would have been a great choice after the relationship with Beck especially since Beck and Jade could have worked out as friends but they needed way more growth in my opinion.
Agreed. If they had stretched it out and Dan wasn't a coward and ( possibly racist in his portrayal of black characters) then Andre and Jade would have worked so well
With Tori and Jade, one of the things that really stand out to me for this ship is that other then Beck who she was dating Tori was the only other person Jade would let touch her
I shipped Beck and Cat for a while. Like had they not infantalized her so much they would have been cute. I liked how she hid behind him or he protected her and i see them as more of an option than Andre and Cat. But Trina and Beck should have had a more serious chance. I know he was pretending to like her but they had good chemistry and Trina was a great character who maybe tried too hard. But had no one in her corner. Including her dad.
Ngl, I was a HUGE Tandre (Tori x Andre) shipper (well I still do kinda ship them despite haven't watched the show in years). And while yes, I do love their platonic dynamic- and heck can kinda even appreciate to a degree because I haven't seen a lot a media where the main girl and main guy were strictly friends- but on the other hand...their chemistry was on point and one of my favorite aspects of the show that I couldn't help but ship them! I don't know, maybe I'm boring when it comes to my favorite shipping tropes but I'm a huge sucker for "Best Friends to Lovers".
You're not boring. Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite romance arcs and if Tori and Andre had gotten together I would have been pretty happy. Thinking back they would probably be a good foil to Beck and Jade were one couple is toxic and argumentative, while the other is supportive and healthy
i feel like we have entirely different experiences bc i always perceived sam/freddie and beck/jade were the more popular ships (which makes sense bc ppl prefer sam over carly and jade over tori) and while the jade-beck-tori throuple seems like a natural progression to all the ship dynamics between those characters but with jade’s jealousy i doubt that would ever work
i feel like robbie was obsessed with cat even though he liked every girl in the show it's because cat never directly rejected him or at least not grossed out like every other girl
Liz Gillies and Avan Jogia said that every time they were in the background they would act on the subtext that they were in a HUUUUUUUGE fight. Like entire storylines about why they are fighting just created by the two of them, going on in the background.
unpopular or popular opinion: I think tori and beck would make a nice couple sure beck has his red flags but I feel like if he was with tori it would def be more healthier than if he was with jade, but..if im being honest I feel like beck would get bored of tori since he mention how whenever jade gets jealous or mean it he enjoys it, he enjoys seeing jade get angry and if that's the case we all know tori isn't the kind to be "mean" or aggressive.
Shit that could’ve led to Jade and Andre being a thing. Even if my only reasons is because he liked her at one point, even she couldn’t find anything wrong about him, and they have more chemistry than Jade and Beck which is SERIOUSLY sad.
honestly that would've been such an interesting plot for them to let tori and beck actually date only for them to realise that they liked each other more as best friends and were only infatuated with the idea of each other. and jade and andre could've also explored their relationship, etc. shame the creators ruined the show 💀
I agagree that he'd get bored with Tori, in every situation she's supported him as a friend and is generally agreeable and I think a lot of the beck/Tori appeal for him is that she's a relatively safe person to antagonize his girlfriend with. He's been shown to enjoy Jade's jealousy from time to time and yes Tori gets into wacky situations but he'd be bored quickly... ... which is why I support Cat or Trina as great pairings for Beck. Neither are boring and both would challenge him and change him
i totally ship: jade & tori i feel that they would be so cute, i can see it. the whole enemies to lovers troupe but also just the fact that they are opposites. i feel like jade would help tori step out of her comfort zone and that tori could help jade be more confident in herself and not to expect the worse. i feel that jade sometimes thinks that someones going to hurt her which is why she reacts the way she does. robbie & beck idk why but i do. i so agree with what you said about robbie & beck. i feel like he would help robbie be more confident and that robbie could help beck be less of a jerk at times. i think they would compliment each other well.
I didn’t have cable and only watched 2 episodes of Victorious during a 5 day stay at the hospital. Only ever really heard about this show from friends who watched it AND EVEN I KNEW JADE/BECK WAS THE MOST POPULAR
I think you underestimate Jade and Andre, although it came out of nowhere, it has potential. Specifically if you compare how Andre will treat her/the relationship vs how Beck does, Jade would because a kinder/chill person with Andre. But I ship Andre with Tori and sorta Cat too, he'd fit everyone
I don't think it would have worked. Remeber Andre girlfriend that had a producer dad ? I feel like she was kinda a toxic in a similar to Jade. She was jealous, possesive, try to tell Andre what to do, what to wear, how to act in a similar manner that Jade does towards her boyfriend Beck. But even if Beck just accept that, Andre hates that and ended up hating his girlfriend and breaking up with her. I think her character was similar enough to Jade that we can use to imagine a relationship between Jade and Andre and see how bad it would have been. I actually do not like this ship at all
I feel like Andre and jade could have worked especially with andre’s personality mellowing jade’s personality and maybe have Trina be with someone outside the group. The group kind of feels like they need each other and work well together. I don’t know why Robbie was the butt monkey in most episodes.
I disagree with Beck and Jade not changing at all… Jade sure, but I think a change happened in Beck in that episode where he realized he likes that Jade is argumentative and stands her ground. So the problem he had with her isn’t really there anymore. He might have even come to realize he likes arguing with her to some degree. More like it’s toxic but it works for them imo Also I like the whole thing where Beck can’t be frightened and then in Jade’s song there’s a line about not being able to scare the guy she’s singing about (you’re not afraid of me and I can’t convince you)
No the only problem is still there, he just doesn’t know what a healthy relationship is. Because there was no balance, he went back to the toxicity with Jade because it’s more fun than someone who always agrees with him. Which goes against the entire point they broke up. He didn’t change, he just realized that it’s more fun to be toxic
I also believed Beck was at fault in the Bade relationship. and rlly feel like he was the reason Jade was always jealous because when u think about it, she is a total badass who doesnt care what anyone thinks so she is not insecure and therefore, beck kissing chicks infront of her, imagine what he would do to her behind her back!!
Both of them are at fault, honestly. There's no black and white in it. Jade has anger issues and insecurities to work on while Beck is way too laidback for his own good that he doesn't set the boundaries and actively lets other girls flirt with him. If anything, I think they're better off as good friends.
I do agree that since jade knows about the pirate game she probably would unironically kill Robbie, but I think it’s possible too that cat might’ve repressed what happened or doesn’t know how to articulate what happened. I am a victim of sexual assault, and I repressed most of the trauma so the perpetrator was able to get away with it and stayed friends with them until I broke. Idk hearing her scream no and say “put it away I don’t want to see that thing again” makes me feel like it’s not an innocent game like some people think. Also we gotta remember this is Dan I like children’s feet Schneider
18:03 “Tori gets to date Beck without feeling guilty about betraying Jade because she's dating her too” This somehow has the same energy as “I kissed a random girl at a party and I didn't want her bf to get upset, so I kissed him too 🥺”
the thing about jade and beck, as toxic as it is, they both sort of deserve each other. Beck many times actively gave reasons for Jade to be jealous, the episode where he takes many girls on his car, like how would any girlfriend react to that???However jade was very aggressive and could get very possessive. The episode where they break up, and Beck gets frustrated that the girl he was with, puts him on a pedestal and agrees with everything he says, truth to it, beck loves how much Jade challenges him, and how she doesn’t put him on a pedestal and actively calls him out when she disagrees with him and beck likes that.
Exactlyyy! That's why I'd always say Saddie will always be worse than Bade. Because at least Beck equals Jade with his own toxicity unlike poor Freddie who was made dumb and Sam continued beating and demeaning him even while he tried to date her!🤦🏽♀️
That and I liked the fact they can be good friends without being romantic. It's not often we see a guy and a girl having platonic relationship in the media and that's what made them so unique in my opinion.
I have never thought about Beck and Robbie being together until this video. Unsurprising because there's a lack of story potential in this series. But hey we got fanfics, also I love good nerd or alt ❤ jock or bad boy dynamics
ngl i love that tori and andre were friends without any romance, but at the same time i wanted them together so bad. i'm a huge sucker for friends to lovers, so for me I would've loved to see their romance as a slow and gradual thing. andre and jade was a ship no one asked for, but since the crew presented it to us, it was actually a great ship in my opinion. they don't have any animosity between them and have actual respect for each other, especially on Jade's part, something not a lot of people in the show can say. and Jade and Tori, my toxic doomed yuri
beck's doesn't make sense tbh bc how is he made out to be the "hot guy that everyone wants" but he's in a relationship? why not make him single and make the fact that he's too laid back to stay in a relationship?
Tori at least had a character development and become a girl's girl by rejecting Beck's advances 😞 didn't Gwen dated Duncan despite apologizing to Courtney multiple times after she got caught kissing him idk
I like Tori and Andre but always as a hypothetical because i felt like they got along so well and healthfully because they had a very true genuine sibling relationship where you're completely comfortable with another person if the opposite sex platonically
My favorite ship in Victorious is all of them in a poly relationship because they all had a lot of romantic (and oddly sexual for a kids show) tension for one another. Honestly is Victorious came back in a iCarly reboot type of show I feel like it would have them all be in a polygamous relationship
As a kid I went along with the Cat and Robbie ship and bounce between Beck/Jade and Beck/Tori....but as I got older, and even now, the only ship I truly cared about was Tori and Andre. I'm a sucker for best friends to lovers trope, and those two had such great chemistry and such a great friendship that I thought they'd be great together romantically if it were to ever happen. Only thing about this ship is I'd want the show to either fully commit to it (have a whole arc, bring them together, and have them stay together) or never even acknowledge it (like they actually do), because they are great as friends AND as a ship, but if it was teased too much as a ship but never created to last the friendship part would be ruined. Anyways, Tori and Andre ended up together just before graduating in my headcanon.
TY FOR THE CAT AND JADE THING! They really don't view eachother in a way that would make a romantic relationship also the scenes with beck and robbie was something I never noticed and I laughed so hard when he grabbed him
It’s even more interesting when you realize how “close” the cast was lol they really could’ve all dated each other at one point or another and it would’ve worked narratively
nooooo for trina. she most likely avoided them either because they were a grade younger, or they were torys friends. tory and trina had small periods where they liked eachother. yes, poorly written ones, but still moments.
Beck and Jade, in my opinion, from the first episode have been at that “I love you but I don’t like you” stage and neither of them can tell the difference.
Robbie was so much creepier than I remember. I hate how many things they passed off as jokes in children's programming. I loved Victorious, even the parts I now understand to be bit problematic - perfect example being Beck and Jade who I still jokingly defend - but I just could never fuck with Robbie and I'm starting to think he probably just made me really uncomfortable.
robbie and cat would probably be my favourite ship if robbie wasn't so creepy. like i don't even know why they wrote him that way, there was more potential but they said nah, he needs to a perverted creep with obsessive, stalker tendencies and we need to heavily imply that he sexually assaulted cat but can't actually say it because it's still a kids show. why was this necessary?? 😭😭
i personsally enjoyed the thought of andre and jade, that's if they explored their friendship better before introducing the ship. andre was the one person jade never made fun of or had any issues with, plus andre just looks good with anyone. also i'd like to think cat and robbie would've been cute had Dan not sprinkled a bit of himself into robbie's character.
This is just giving me ideas for a Victorious Reboot. This will be all over the place so just be patient with me. But these are some parts of what I think would make for a great reboot. First of all we would be seeing the whole gang reuniting with each other at Hollywood Arts 10 years after where we left off when Victorious ended. Beck and Jade: We see the two of them hardly standing next to each other or even looking at each other. They still are constantly getting snippy with each other and making everyone else uncomfortable but it's not a full on screaming match like what we're used to with Beck and Jade. It's just awkward occasional little jabs at one another. Why? Because Beck and Jade are EX husband and wife. After the last time they got back together on Victorious, Beck and Jade made it all the way through high school together and maybe even all the way through college too (IF either or both of them even went to college). Their relationship never changed, they were still toxic af with each other. And at some point or another after high school (or college) they got MARRIED. Beck proposed to Jade and they got married thinking that taking that big step and making that commitment to each other would fix everything in their relationship, make everything better. But no. It only made everything worse. They were fighting even more about every little thing. Jade's toxic argumentative nature and Beck's apathy for Jade's feelings and determination to let other women be all over him were driving them apart just like before. But then Beck CHEATED (Beck never technically cheats on Jade in the show but it's clear that he's the cheating type and it's not that far off to assume he would do it in their marriage). He had a one night stand with another woman or even had an ongoing affair with another woman and Jade of course found out. Their relationship was already in shambles but Beck's infidelity was the nail in the coffin and they got a divorce. Luckily they have no children so everything goes by quickly and they cut contact. This reunion is the first time they've seen each other in years since they split. There's still animosity between them but whenever Jade's back is turned sometimes Beck is seen glancing at her every now and then. Andre: Andre is living the high life. After everything he accomplished at Hollywood Arts he was getting flooded with offers from everywhere in the music industry. So as soon as he graduated, he signed with a record label and ran off into the sunset to make his dreams come true. He's the leader of his own band and performing all over the country, he's writing and producing his own music and even writing and producing for other artists as well. He felt incredibly guilty about leaving his Grandma to go off on his own for music but he was using the money he earned from his success to make sure she was all taken care of in his absence even though she still calls him all the time driving him crazy. Andre is living the perfect life as he got everything he ever wanted. Tori: She went down a different path than Andre. With all that SHE accomplished at Hollywood Arts (especially performing at the Platinum Awards, that performance put her on the MAP), she was also getting flooded with offers from music labels, a lot of them wanted for her and Andre to come work for them TOGETHER as a TEAM because of how amazing they are together musically. But colleges were also trying to recruit Tori as well. The thing with Tori is that her entire journey throughout Victorious was her slowly gaining more confidence. Coming into her own as a performer and believing in herself to become the star she was always meant to be. But as much as she wanted to be famous and as happy as she would be to do it with her best friend...she couldn't do it. She realized that she still had a long way to go and she just wasn't ready for that life right now. So she chose to accept the offer for a full music scholarship to the college she liked the best. And if she really wanted to be famous down the line, fame wasn't going anywhere and it would be waiting for her as soon as she finished her education and got a little more experience. As she went through college she continued to perform small gigs like at weddings or at restaurants, etc. But all the while maintained her friendship with Andre despite the distance between them as he traveled all over America singing for adoring crowds. And every time he came back to town to perform he would always be sure to invite Tori to come on stage with him and his band as a guest so they could sing together like old times. When we see her at this reunion she and Andre excitedly catch up. Since she's graduated college she's now trying to find her footing on becoming a famous singer because she finally feels ready. But she of course can't seem to find her big break. She is by no means a loser. She's done a lot with her life since she graduated high school but she certainly feels like a loser because of how she's struggling. It almost makes her regret not choosing to take those offers to sign onto a label fresh out of high school like Andre did. She can't help but wonder what if. Tori and Jade: Despite still having the same love-hate relationship as before they actually start talking during this reunion. Maybe even meeting up alone after the big get together to grab a drink. After emotional walls are broken down a bit by alcohol, they start opening up to each other on their hardships. Tori feeling bad for Jade with what Beck did to her and even apologizing for kissing him on her first day of school all those years ago. Something Jade never could have possibly expected. Tori expresses how she never truly believed Jade was a bad person, how she could always see right through her negativity and always knew she was a softie. She tells Jade she deserved better than Beck. Jade is taken aback by all of this but then returns the favor by reminding Tori of how she took Hollywood Arts by storm from the very beginning. Talking about some of Tori's most iconic moments performance-wise on Victorious. Expressing her long time jealousy of Tori for how she was always the whole package. She was talented, but she was also a kind-hearted person that everyone respected. So she kind of had it easy with making it as a performer because after all, part of being a performer is getting people to LIKE you which is not Jade's strong suit. She tells Tori that if she could do so many amazing things as a scared girl with no idea what she was doing back then, she definitely shouldn't give up now. They share a small awkward smile. A switch flips and they start to connect with each other in a way they never had before.... 😳😳 And cut! 🎬 This is all I can think of for now but if anyone thinks this is good stuff and can maybe fill in some blanks for me let me know.
You made some great points! My opinions about some of the ships if anyone cares: - Cat and Robbie were my guilty pleasure but it's always been more like "I would love them together if Robbie was less of a creep", especially the pirate thing is hard to ignore and the only reason I still enjoyed them at times is that I could interpret it differently. Same with Jade wanting to bury Tori. I tried to pretend it was a dumb joke because otherwise she should be seen as a villain - I have mixed feelings about Jade & Tori because they have a great chemistry, I'd be interested to see them getting together and wouldn't mind it but as with Cat and Robbie, it's hard to forget about that joke. Stealing Tori's blood might be a bit too much as well. Either way, them always getting back to normal after reconciling was annoying, I know it's a tweens show but it doesn't mean that characters can't make any progress - Tori and Andre would be my favourite couple if the creators decided to make them a thing, I can't help but love the friends to lovers trope and their friendship was so wholesome. That being said, I like them being platonic besties too. There's a lot of wasted potential but I still like these three ships (plus Robbie x Beck and Tori x Beck) better than Creddie and Seddie, Sam was too violent and Creddie felt forced. I only liked Creddie in the revival series
I LOOOVED Cat and Jade when I was younger. Still do! But recerntly Ive seen how well Jori works and gotten into that a bit more. I also always shipped Tori and Andre but not to the same level as the other two.
I love Cat and Andre idk why I just love their relationship and I feel like he is one of the few who yes sees how childlike she is but doesn’t tune her out as a person I feel like that comes from his relationship with his grandma but their relationship is sweet
Unfortunately the reason Beck had to stay with Jade in the show is because it was the only thing interesting about his character. I think the writers planned on originally having Tori and Beck end up together tbh. And then at some point they decided never to do it - probably because it would’ve been too predictable and a little cliché. so instead they played with the scenario and dangled it in front of fans that wanted it & dragged out a toxic relationship through most of the show because the other half of fans liked it. I don’t like either ship and I think it’s because in this show the characters can’t grow too much - so Jade is stagnant, she will always be toxic/insecure/a bully. And Beck, they just wrote his character terribly. I don’t think the writers wanted his character to be interpreted as the bad guy. But his actions and carelessness made him seem narcissistic and manipulative. almost like he kept Tori close to mess with Jade.
Why won't the show just let Trina be happy. Imo Trina was a very insecure character so she overcompensates, she never got any development, which is sad. Like could you imagine if the show didn't do her so dirty and actually let her grow as a character? Maybe, she let go of her ego and focused on something she's actually good at. They call her untalented a lot, but only because she couldn't sing. She quite clearly had a love for acting and theatre, so they could've had an episode where she realises that musical theatre isn't for her, so she just starred in plays rather than musicals. They never gave her any friends either... Like it's actually really sad
i fr will never understand how they would call her untalented and then showcase time and again that she wasnt. she was canonically a really talented athlete with amazing physical strength which was a talent that set her apart from the rest of the cast. if she was allowed even a second of character development she couldve been cool
I never understood why they always make her out to be the untalented/ugly one. She was surely annoying and unpleasant but like, in a good way, she could've had a character development had the writers explored more with her.
I saw this yrs ago, Trina was one of the older cast that talked against all the creepy shite going on and the pedos hated that but couldn’t fire her cus of contract so they bullied her to try and make her quit. It’s why they also made Tori bad in the later seasons, she was the only one that didn’t do drugs, alcohol and get groomed cus yk my girl was apparently the only one with good parents or survival instincts.
Trina and Beck could actually be good especially for Beck. He would have someone who isn’t easy and she would also give him gifts and do nice things for him. He would still be able to make her jealous
Somehow Beck and Jade feel worst then Seddie. Probably because Seddie didn’t last too long and Jade and Beck stay breaking up and getting back toget her for whatever reason that exists. Though I find it hilarious that people constantly blame Jade for the relationship problems as if Beck is some perfect angel. It’s almost as stupid as the fans who hate and critics Tori over every bad thing she’s done yet defend Jade’s own actions that are worst. And even stupider? Tori literally turns him down despite her having ZERO reason to do so. It speaks volumes to her development yeah but she didn’t owe Jade a single thing at that point. They were barely even friends, Jade treats her like shit mostly, Jade and Beck weren’t together anymore, and he was showing interest.
@@giorgiamoretti6642 it would've been interesting to see the reactions though, it was a waste to not do anything about them. and jade still treated tori like shit even after seeing tori reject beck for her
missed opportunity to actually analyse the slap videos too. it gave us more insight on the actual relationship of jade n beck. but nice video analysis ig
i never understood why the show teased tori/beck so much because all the online fans seemed to either love beck/jade or jade/tori (or both). personally beck/tori just didn't interest me at all, i just never felt much chemistry and their relationship always seemed to hinge on jade's reaction to them. i felt that tori and andre had a strong chemistry and interacted way more than tori and beck, whos relationship always got propelled by something happening with jade.
Jade had some issues, and she needed someone that would understand that, be comprehensive and reassuring. She had potential to grow, but she never got to grow
She grew but only, like minimally, I feel like she wasn't the same Jade in the first episode anymore. Still mean but tame but the rest stayed same, I think? Cat's chatacter went progressively worse, it's like she mentally regressed.
beck and jade's relationship is so confusing. honestly, when he said he didn't like "easy" girls, i thought well, maybe he just wants someone he can keep constantly anxious and on edge while he makes himself look "chill, cool." it also made me mad that jade didn't have any other romantic interests while they were broken up, maybe seeing her be different with another partner would have made beck realize he wasn't exactly a "victim", idk. lol. i'm a BIG beck hater. if i heard him talking about me as the worst person ever (just to make a girl kiss him!!!), i'd also be jealous and insecure all the time, i'd be thinking "why on earth would he be with me if i'm the most awful person in his mind?" MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! i'd be fully convinced that ANY nice girl like tori could make him prefer her. god, he's awful.
Robbie and Cat is one of my favorite ships of all time since both characters are my personal favorites in the series. Despite Robbie's perversion, their relationship was so wholesome, interesting and quirky in a way that was humorous. I love how they just accept each others' quirks and unlike Beck and Jade, they never had any personal conflicts that badly affected their relationship (except for the pirates thing). Also Ariana Grande and Matt Bennett have a lot of on-screen chemistry, more so than Beck and Jade. Fun fact - Whenever he tries to hit on her, she laughs before says gross (which could be a defense mechanism) but in this where they are singing about bad news, Cat is surprisingly grossed out that Robbie's real name is Robert and she DOESN'T laugh which implies that she's more grossed out by that than Robbie suggesting that they make out and "snoodle". th-cam.com/video/fD2SCEIYVAU/w-d-xo.html
Honestly I remember a lot of people gunning for Jade and Beck when the show was out (I figured that was why they kept going back to it despite the obvious setup for a Tori/Beck thing at the beginning) and I think that’s because in a better written show with better developed characters, ‘rough around the edges girl who pushes away risks for vulnerability and her chill sweet boyfriend who gets her and accepts her fully’ is what they would’ve been and that’s a cute dynamic. They could’ve been this cute couple who looks mismatched from the outside but make sense once you get closer because Beck is more unhinged than he looks and likes girls who are a little weird or contrarian (in this alternate better show reality that would be established in a healthy way and not some weird addiction to toxicity for the thrill of arguing because healthy relationships are ‘boring’) and Jade is softer than she looks and Beck is someone who makes space for that while also understanding and not being scared of the sharper and stranger parts of her personality. Like I’m not gonna get too fired up about this Nickelodeon show from my childhood but their relationship type could’ve been so cute and healthy and I feel like we were ROBBED
my whole life has been me thinking about these ships way in detail and you put my thoughts into something I don't have to think about manually now (I hope this makes sense) thank you
I’m gonna say that the reason they never did Tori and beck is because even though that’s clearly what they wanted to do in the beginning they had to change plans because once the show got popular it became quite clear that Jade was much more of a fan favorite and a lot of people would have stopped watching the show if Tori would’ve stole jades Man
I'm so glad that you arent biased towards Victorious and gave an honest and blunt review of the ships! I would also argue that the show Victorious was not as well written compared to some of Dan's other sitcoms. IMO what makes the show stand out by itself would be the characters that are played by the actors/actresses. The dialogue of the show isnt enough for the show to hold on its own. Its heavily dependent on the characters which I think that's telling. As you had stated yourself, a lot of the problems that go down between the ships make little to no sense and the show teases at hinting other ships and its dependent on the chemistry of the characters. It makes it difficult for the viewers like myself to follow through with the intentions of where the show is going when the storyline-character chemistry doesn't match. I really liked this video!
When Cat screams "my hair has nothing to do with my trauma" my heart kinda skipped a beat. Poor girl. I really don't like how she was treated in this show by both writers and other characters
I never really shipped anyone while I was watching the shoe but i saw a Tiktok Compilation of Beck and Robbie recently and idk, it kinda grew on me. You totally missed all these little moments where they have like inside jokes?? And it's implied they hang out a lot outside of what we see? Also they like touch a LOT and idk yeah I never really shipped Beck with Jade or Tori (personally I liked Jade and Cat and Tori and Andre if I had to pick anyone, but again I wasn't really into shipping these characters) so Beck with Robbie kinda went crazy
Okay, so this is my opinion on the Andre ships, since he was my favourite character on the show and I payed the most attention to him and his interactions: (TLDR at the end) For the show; as it is, Andre and Tori MAKE THE MOST SENSE. I could see for the final season (the one I assume they had planned before the cancellation), that either Tori or Andre or both would come to a realization early on that they were into the other. We would then get moments of awkward tension and hilarious misinterpretations between the two until the final 2 episodes - where they would likely have a 2 part graduation from Hollywood Arts, and Andre would rush off to find Tori and admit his love for her, and she would return his feelings and the two would kiss and everyone would cheer. It just makes sense. They spent the most time together, the show has established them as perfect partners! Even their fights end with one comforting the other and reconciling in the end. They had all the foundations laid down, the final season was for sure going to be when they starting layering their relationship. Now, I think if the show had a more serious turn: Andre and Jade would be so much fun to explore. I've seen people talk about how Andre noticed Jade being normal, calm and fun to be around and those qualities made him realise just how much he liked her. I like the idea of the two of them building a slow burn relationship. Jade learning to trust someone and not having to constantly be alert for any girls challenging her for her man, especially when she sees Andre shut down any and all advances swiftly. Jade learning to curb her insecurities that, let's be honest here, Beck inflated. Andre learning that standing up for himself isn't something that would result in a negative outcome everytime (RE: when the group peer pressured him into missing his 97 year old great grandad's birthday to write a song for Tori). Jade & Andre learning how to be there for each other and how to be vulnerable and express their emotions and feelings. Overall, I think the Andre and Tori were the safest bet, and the most likely pairing we were going to see Andre land into. However, I love the slight dramatic feel the show could explore if they had gone with Andre and Jade. To use your example, despite it having a very similar layout and feel to Victorious, iCarly was able to balance those serious character moments really, really well. Examples: 1. Sam and Freddy on the fire escape after she shamed him for never having kissed anyone. 2. Carly talking to Freddy after he had saved her from that Taco truck. 3. Sam and Freddy's break up in the elevator. I know these are all romantic moments but that's my point, the fact that they had these moments in the first place, allowing the characters to have actual moments of vulnerablity with very little inclusion of laugh tracks and very soft, barely noticeable music in the background allowed us as the audience to believe them in these moments. If Victorious had made time and effort for these moments, then I truly believe Jade and Andre would have been the best ship on the show. TLDR; Tori & Andre made sense for the show. Jade & Andre are good if they're further explored as a couple.
I do know it was gross but i don't get why he wanted to go home so bad I always thought it was cuz she scared him or her breath smelled can someone explain😭
As a kid I REALLY shipped Tori and Andre. They were always seen hanging out and always wrote/performed romantic songs together. I honestly think Nickelodeon was just too cowardly to have a main character in an interracial relationship. The only time I can recall a couple like that was way back in 2000 with As Told by Ginger. Literally Andre was only ever seen going after other black/brown girls. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it does seem kind of weird that they didn’t even consider the possibility. I agree with your point about finally having a main guy and girl just being friends, but I do wish that they could have eventually gotten together.
For the Jade and Tori episode, or even all the episodes with relationships, the episodes were backwards. For example, the date episode with Jade and Tori could've happened in the earlier season where Jade held a grudge for Tori's kiss with Beck. Then, the following episode would be the reality show episode where we could see them being civil to each other, but that would crash and burn from the promo with Tori and Beck. The episode after would be Jade takes Tori's spot and the final would be the episode where Tori helped Jade's play succeed. All in all, they mixed the episodes.
I've never watched Victorious but you've sold me on the Jade/Beck/Tori polycule solving most of their relationship problems. I need to see this as an actual thing now. Why
Andre is the only person in that friend group that isnt messy
Grop
True. He dates tons of girls and never talks to them again but he's generally up front and compartmentalized about his relationships

the running “joke” of playing pirates is like actually disgusting and i can’t believe they would include a sexual harassment joke in a kids show
In a world where Victorious wasn't a kids show written by Dan Schneider would be a world where we would've gotten better storylines, actual development, and an actual finale...
Agreed tbh
All I wanted was to see the graduation finale
And also it wouldn't exist, because like it or not it's his brainchild
Actually, I never thought of that. But that would be awesome if they did it now. An adult show with all the same characters and almost close storyline but 10× better. Of course it wouldn't be the same people playing the characters(almost in every remake it takes time to get used to new characters) but other then that a show like that would be soooo good. I hope they make one
i would love a fanfic rewrite of the entire show
Trina was called a lot of things in the show but ugly was not one of them. It was always heavily implied she was disliked because of her crazy personality and huge ego, not because she was physically unattractive.
I never thought she was terribly unattractive in the show but I thought her personality was VERY unpleasant.
I AGREE! people keep saying that Trina was the ugly one but the whole point of her character was that she is arrogant and doesn't get along with people
But then there was that kid in the Kesha episode who wanted to kiss all the girls but her. But then it was weird for her to offer anyway lol
There’s probably more examples, but I think there were moments that inferred how unattractive Trina was due to her weight ig, which checks out for the beauty standards at the time
@xxxmaysilssss690 uh no the joke was that tori’s friends don’t wanna see trina’s butt lol

Yes! I think the same
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Trina/Beck.
Yall should've written the show
You cooked so hard with this!!!
I also remember when she said in that one trapped in Beck’s RV in the summer episode: “We need to get out of this STUPID RV!” *Beck looks at Trina* “Yeah, OFFENSE.” she tells to his face 😂

Not really, if jade and Andre became a thing Jade is probably gonna have a problem with how much time he spends with Tori
@@gjjijji Idk, Jade seems like she came at Tori with hostility because she was used to everyone trying to get at Beck and Tori was one of them. @@kronos1794 regardless I think Jade would have a problem with how close they are. Andre is comfortable enough to come over Tori’s house at night in his underwear.

Agreed. If they had stretched it out and Dan wasn't a coward and ( possibly racist in his portrayal of black characters) then Andre and Jade would have worked so well
*AGREED, OMG!*

Me too, they always were really cute around each other
They're one of the few pairings that could actually work out. I shipped them so hard too
same, they could be platonic or romantic and it would still be good
I think that friends to lovers is the most realistic trope. I personally think the healthiest relationships start from really healthy friendships
You’re so correct. Absolutely no one gets real development in this show and it’s something that always frustrated me
Beck was addicted to toxicity and also had NO Boundaries for other girls 🤦🏾♀️ always aggravated me
i feel like we have entirely different experiences bc i always perceived sam/freddie and beck/jade were the more popular ships (which makes sense bc ppl prefer sam over carly and jade over tori) and while the jade-beck-tori throuple seems like a natural progression to all the ship dynamics between those characters but with jade’s jealousy i doubt that would ever work
i feel like robbie was obsessed with cat even though he liked every girl in the show it's because cat never directly rejected him or at least not grossed out like every other girl
Liz Gillies and Avan Jogia said that every time they were in the background they would act on the subtext that they were in a HUUUUUUUGE fight. Like entire storylines about why they are fighting just created by the two of them, going on in the background.
unpopular or popular opinion: I think tori and beck would make a nice couple sure beck has his red flags but I feel like if he was with tori it would def be more healthier than if he was with jade, but..if im being honest I feel like beck would get bored of tori since he mention how whenever jade gets jealous or mean it he enjoys it, he enjoys seeing jade get angry and if that's the case we all know tori isn't the kind to be "mean" or aggressive.

honestly that would've been such an interesting plot for them to let tori and beck actually date only for them to realise that they liked each other more as best friends and were only infatuated with the idea of each other. and jade and andre could've also explored their relationship, etc. shame the creators ruined the show 💀
I agagree that he'd get bored with Tori, in every situation she's supported him as a friend and is generally agreeable and I think a lot of the beck/Tori appeal for him is that she's a relatively safe person to antagonize his girlfriend with. He's been shown to enjoy Jade's jealousy from time to time and yes Tori gets into wacky situations but he'd be bored quickly...
... which is why I support Cat or Trina as great pairings for Beck. Neither are boring and both would challenge him and change him
@@amberwasatomic oooo cat with beck would be interesting I wonder how that would go down
i totally ship:
jade & tori
i feel that they would be so cute, i can see it. the whole enemies to lovers troupe but also just the fact that they are opposites. i feel like jade would help tori step out of her comfort zone and that tori could help jade be more confident in herself and not to expect the worse. i feel that jade sometimes thinks that someones going to hurt her which is why she reacts the way she does.
robbie & beck
idk why but i do. i so agree with what you said about robbie & beck. i feel like he would help robbie be more confident and that robbie could help beck be less of a jerk at times. i think they would compliment each other well.
beck bringing robbie a watermelon sold me on them tbh
@@rinisonline4312 lol same😂 that was really cute tho

I didn’t have cable and only watched 2 episodes of Victorious during a 5 day stay at the hospital. Only ever really heard about this show from friends who watched it AND EVEN I KNEW JADE/BECK WAS THE MOST POPULAR
wait wait wait… beck and tori were the most popular ship??? I must be living in a bubble I thought everyone preferred beck and jade haha

I actually do not like this ship at all
random thought but if victorious was written by the girl meets world writers they would easily be a polycule
Definitely
oh my god did they do that
yeah they explored a love triangle but the love triangle was borderline poly vibes@@rylout1786
@@rylout1786 yes the two main characters were dating the boy at the same time lmao
Nope, because girls meets world wasn’t written like that.
More like it’s toxic but it works for them imo
Also I like the whole thing where Beck can’t be frightened and then in Jade’s song there’s a line about not being able to scare the guy she’s singing about (you’re not afraid of me and I can’t convince you)
No the only problem is still there, he just doesn’t know what a healthy relationship is. Because there was no balance, he went back to the toxicity with Jade because it’s more fun than someone who always agrees with him. Which goes against the entire point they broke up. He didn’t change, he just realized that it’s more fun to be toxic
@@BabyGirlTinythis ^
I also believed Beck was at fault in the Bade relationship. and rlly feel like he was the reason Jade was always jealous because when u think about it, she is a total badass who doesnt care what anyone thinks so she is not insecure and therefore, beck kissing chicks infront of her, imagine what he would do to her behind her back!!
One they are both at fault and two what girls are being kissed in front of Jade
@@gjjijjium tori??
18:03 “Tori gets to date Beck without feeling guilty about betraying Jade because she's dating her too”
This somehow has the same energy as “I kissed a random girl at a party and I didn't want her bf to get upset, so I kissed him too 🥺”
the thing about jade and beck, as toxic as it is, they both sort of deserve each other.
Because at least Beck equals Jade with his own toxicity unlike poor Freddie who was made dumb and Sam continued beating and demeaning him even while he tried to date her!🤦🏽♀️
Having the Pirate joke and knowing what the creator has done.....craaazy
I feel like the main reason they didn’t want Tori and Andre to be a couple is bc there would be no drama. They bring out the best in each other.
That and I liked the fact they can be good friends without being romantic. It's not often we see a guy and a girl having platonic relationship in the media and that's what made them so unique in my opinion.
@@apollo4240they were gonna put them together in the season they literally had a kissing scene it’s somewhere on TikTok
Andre and Tori were my favorite
Andre and Jade was just for me. Only black man in the main cast gets to pine for the the aggressive goth girl? Yeah. For me.
And the fact that she opened up and was super chill with him compared to everyone else? With better writing that’s an elite tier ship
I honestly love that Beck Falls for Tori was just about him falling in her place as her stunt double instead of their relationship
cat and andre were so cute together as friends. They reminded me a lot of me and my best friend, and I just adored their friendship
Beck, jade, and tori are literally duncan, courtney, and gwen from tdi
exactly😭the same exact dynamics
*OMG, STOP!*

Other than the fact one of them is a goth girl and they're both love triangles there's really nothing else to it.
Tori at least had a character development and become a girl's girl by rejecting Beck's advances 😞 didn't Gwen dated Duncan despite apologizing to Courtney multiple times after she got caught kissing him idk

I think a lot of the Beck and Jade writing was also influenced by the stereotype of straight people hating their partners. And that being normal.
HOLY HOW DID I NEVER NOTICE THAT ROBBY PIRATE THING😳.
Edit: I mean now that I think about it how did I not notice all the feet in the Schneider shows
I like Tori and Andre but always as a hypothetical because i felt like they got along so well and healthfully because they had a very true genuine sibling relationship where you're completely comfortable with another person if the opposite sex platonically
Seeing this now with "quiet on set" out really shows so much!!
“And maybe Robbie can help Beck stop being such a piece of shit” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 SCRUMPT
I was looking for someone else who was as entertained as me by this thank you lol
TY FOR THE CAT AND JADE THING! They really don't view eachother in a way that would make a romantic relationship also the scenes with beck and robbie was something I never noticed and I laughed so hard when he grabbed him
You don’t understand how this video made me so happy, this was a genius idea and your editing and analysis is too funny.
Tori and Andre were going to be a thing before the show got cancelled. There was even a kiss scene clip of it on TikTok
Wait, seriously??? I am so intrigued to know more about this 😭
It’s even more interesting when you realize how “close” the cast was lol they really could’ve all dated each other at one point or another and it would’ve worked narratively
The only thing I like about Tori's character is how she has a lot of guy friends and it's not super weird
nooooo for trina. she most likely avoided them either because they were a grade younger, or they were torys friends. tory and trina had small periods where they liked eachother. yes, poorly written ones, but still moments.
Yeah, he'd be more likeable and be this cute awkward nerd guy if he wasn't Dan's self-insert, the pirate jokes were unnecessary, tbh.
robbie and cat would probably be my favourite ship if robbie wasn't so creepy. like i don't even know why they wrote him that way, there was more potential but they said nah, he needs to a perverted creep with obsessive, stalker tendencies and we need to heavily imply that he sexually assaulted cat but can't actually say it because it's still a kids show. why was this necessary?? 😭😭
Robbie could've been the adorable awkwardly nerd guy if he wasn't Dan's self-insert character, they could've done more with him, wasted potential... 😭
i personsally enjoyed the thought of andre and jade, that's if they explored their friendship better before introducing the ship. andre was the one person jade never made fun of or had any issues with, plus andre just looks good with anyone. also i'd like to think cat and robbie would've been cute had Dan not sprinkled a bit of himself into robbie's character.
As a poly person, your beck, jade, and tori analysis is perfection 😭🫶🏽
And cut! 🎬
This is all I can think of for now but if anyone thinks this is good stuff and can maybe fill in some blanks for me let me know.
I don’t think so cuz avan was hung over for most of the show
@@Missmagazinebura so what? That doesn't mean they won't do a reboot just because of one person.
You made some great points! My opinions about some of the ships if anyone cares:
- Cat and Robbie were my guilty pleasure but it's always been more like "I would love them together if Robbie was less of a creep", especially the pirate thing is hard to ignore and the only reason I still enjoyed them at times is that I could interpret it differently. Same with Jade wanting to bury Tori. I tried to pretend it was a dumb joke because otherwise she should be seen as a villain
- I have mixed feelings about Jade & Tori because they have a great chemistry, I'd be interested to see them getting together and wouldn't mind it but as with Cat and Robbie, it's hard to forget about that joke. Stealing Tori's blood might be a bit too much as well. Either way, them always getting back to normal after reconciling was annoying, I know it's a tweens show but it doesn't mean that characters can't make any progress
- Tori and Andre would be my favourite couple if the creators decided to make them a thing, I can't help but love the friends to lovers trope and their friendship was so wholesome. That being said, I like them being platonic besties too.
There's a lot of wasted potential but I still like these three ships (plus Robbie x Beck and Tori x Beck) better than Creddie and Seddie, Sam was too violent and Creddie felt forced. I only liked Creddie in the revival series
I would have loved André and Tori as a couple. They were always there to boost each other's confidence.
Yes and also I wanna say how UNDERrated Andre is he was such an amazing friend and person he treated all of them so so good!
Avan jogia said in a tiktok he was hungover for most of the show
He just had to be there-- He never contributed anything to the story. Being the hot guy was literally his personality trait.
Like it's actually really sad
i fr will never understand how they would call her untalented and then showcase time and again that she wasnt. she was canonically a really talented athlete with amazing physical strength
which was a talent that set her apart from the rest of the cast. if she was allowed even a second of character development she couldve been cool
They were barely even friends, Jade treats her like shit mostly, Jade and Beck weren’t together anymore, and he was showing interest.
fr, tori saying no because of jade was ridiculous because they were barely friends
@@yohanedescends4683 nah they were in the same friends group and that would have been an awful dynamic
@@giorgiamoretti6642 it would've been interesting to see the reactions though, it was a waste to not do anything about them. and jade still treated tori like shit even after seeing tori reject beck for her
missed opportunity to actually analyse the slap videos too. it gave us more insight on the actual relationship of jade n beck. but nice video analysis ig
tori/jade/beck headcanon was real as hell, thank you
i never understood why the show teased tori/beck so much because all the online fans seemed to either love beck/jade or jade/tori (or both). personally beck/tori just didn't interest me at all, i just never felt much chemistry and their relationship always seemed to hinge on jade's reaction to them. i felt that tori and andre had a strong chemistry and interacted way more than tori and beck, whos relationship always got propelled by something happening with jade.
Jade had some issues, and she needed someone that would understand that, be comprehensive and reassuring. She had potential to grow, but she never got to grow
None of the characters grew at all. Some of them got worse.
Like I’m not gonna get too fired up about this Nickelodeon show from my childhood but their relationship type could’ve been so cute and healthy and I feel like we were ROBBED
my whole life has been me thinking about these ships way in detail and you put my thoughts into something I don't have to think about manually now (I hope this makes sense) thank you
I’m gonna say that the reason they never did Tori and beck is because even though that’s clearly what they wanted to do in the beginning they had to change plans because once the show got popular it became quite clear that Jade was much more of a fan favorite and a lot of people would have stopped watching the show if Tori would’ve stole jades Man
Younger me wanted Cat and Beck together so bad😅
I did when I was younger too but now looking back, I feel like they wouldn't work out. I feel like Beck would babysit her a lot given how Cat is...
the power tori and jade as a couple would have had 🤧

YEEESSSSS
YES YOU RE SO RIGHT
I'm so glad that you arent biased towards Victorious and gave an honest and blunt review of the ships!
Okay, so this is my opinion on the Andre ships, since he was my favourite character on the show and I payed the most attention to him and his interactions: (TLDR at the end)
For the show; as it is, Andre and Tori MAKE THE MOST SENSE.
Examples:
I'm just now realizing how gross that kissing scene between Rex and Tori was and why Rex was so eager to get home💀💀💀
Dan you are one sick mf
Oh my god thats gross
I do know it was gross but i don't get why he wanted to go home so bad I always thought it was cuz she scared him or her breath smelled can someone explain😭
K😅
@@cloroxwipes9879 he wants to go home and touch himself 😬😬
Why
