- Sometimes you have to wrap your head around things, make choices and learn what you need to do.
I forgot my charger for my laptop at my Nans so got to grab that next week. But will be back to normal uploads again tomorrow :)
Anyone else going back to revisit Dan's journey after his passing? I miss his uploads. I know it cannot compare to anything his loved ones are feeling right now, but I feel his absence. I always looked forward to his uploads. Thank you Dan for allowing us to come along for parts of your journey. I'm a better person for having been exposed to you and your unfolding life. You're still giving inspiration even though you signed off with your last Ta Ta Bye Bye. We miss you.

Having survived cancer I know that the battle is 3 sided. There is the physical aside medications, operations, scans. Then the mental side of dealing with the traumatic side effects, making decisions about my treatment, whether to have it or not, losing fertility etc. Then finally there is the emotional side trying to remain positive, dealing with my own emotions and fear and everyone else's emotions too. You just take your time and decide what's right for you. It's your body, your life and your sacrifices to make Dan. Praying daily for you.

Dan my mums just finished chemo and radiotherapy for lung cancer. She's come out of it absolutely amazing, she can eat, the sickness has gone, the weights back on, off all pain relief ( and she was on long acting morphine, oramorph and paracetamol )...its been a godsend. Go with whatever you feel is best x

I would sell everything tomorrow to help dan, I've lived most of my healthy life, and I have so many health problems including rare brain conditions, so to me dan's life is worth saving more than my own. He wants to travel the world, have children, help others with cancer and so much more. So yes DEFINITELY I would do that to save Dan and cure him from this evil disease xxx

My dad is always quoting someone and his latest quote is from Benjamin Franklin - "Many people die at age 25 and aren't buried until age 75". This certainly isn't you - but how very true that statement is. You have a lot of enjoyment ahead of you. Remember, the overall goal isn't to live forever. It is just creating something that will. You HAVE done that. I pray that you find the strength and peace at this uncertain, scary time. It will turn out ok, no matter what. That's what FAITH is all about. God Bless. DAN, You are an AMAZING man with an AMAZING attatude! You get to make the choices for YOU! My dad had a great attatude like you. He had insidious cancer too! It just robs one of their precious life. They gave my dad 5 years. At first he didnt do chemo only radiation. Then opted to do chemo too! He lived 17 years! You go with your gut! In the long run it's you that gets to live! Love you DAN! What you are doing is therapeutic for you and so helpful to people all over the world. I am at a very early stage of finding out I have a sarcoma and I know all the feelings and terrors I face. I can just imagine what you are going through. Your bravery and unquenchable soul are so inspiring. There are no words for it. I wish I could give you a big hug but I am doing just that, virtually. Loving thoughts to your wonderful mother and dad and all your family as they suffer the effects of this horrible disease right along with you. I pray for you every day.

I don't know how you feel hon but I went through this journey with my mom sister and then my hubbys cancer. Its a very l long hard tough journey. Its not for the weak but we have no choice strong or weak rich or poor. What I learned through those 3 journeys is you can only go 1 day at a time. Sometimes its a hr at a time. 1 of those journeys my sister past from chemo complications. Not to scare any one but you have to be your advocate and make sure that after each chemo they check your white and red cells. Eat well stay away from ALL sugar. Sugar feeds the cancer. Hon any choice your decide your support group will stand behind you. Do what's right for you. And remember God has you
With my progressive illness I’ve had people tell me to try this or that. Then they act like if you don’t your choosing to stay sick. I’ve had people tell me that dealing with my excruciating pain with opioids is BAD and it makes me an addict. I’ve realized the only person I need to listen to is me. This is my body. This is my life. That even if someone has the same illness, we are different individuals with different bodies. Only YOU know what’s best for you so don’t let anyone make you feel bad for the choices you make. In fact just ignore them completely because you just don’t need that in your life right now. I think that you being willing to be authentic and vulnerable by putting your journey for everyone to see so that learning and awareness can come from this unbelievably hard and painful time in your life is so incredibly beautiful. My hope for you is that you are able to find peace and comfort in your life. I know that’s so incredibly hard, I certainly haven’t gotten there yet but it’s what I want for you so much. Keep doing what you need to do for you, and your true supporters will be with you no matter what. All my love to you!!

MultiAshleyjames She first had Stage IV throat cancer 6 yrs ago....tons of after effects of Radiation and Chemo...6 yrs later , Voice Box removed. They find aggressive cancer....Early on, they were doing PET scans frequently, but as years wore on...nothing. Most folks with this type of cancer are gone within 2 yrs....We are in Limbo with her.
To me, National health care seems to yield better results for those with cancer...In the U. S., not so good for those disabled by cancer. I wish Dan all the best...he is a sweet, down to earth person.

We are here for you. My dad had cancer and I was his Carer i seen all the emotions that Cancer brings to an individual. You have your family and you have us. Keep your head up I know thats easy for us to say and it is frustrating to hear it day in day out but you are very strong!!

Hi from Massachusetts USA. I just started watching your videos about 4 days ago. Truly you have such a strong spirit within you than those who might not being going through this. I'm still in my journey and got all confuse with alternative healing. I started juicing not eating portien and got really sick. To make a long story short. I went with chemo and of course my believe in God. It's been a ruff road, but I'm still here and cancer free. Just know that God is our healer and when you put your faith in Him and continue getting your treatments God will see you through everything. I truly believe you are going to beat this monster and be an amazing testimony for many of us. Psalm 118: 17 say in the bible I shall not die, but live and Proclaim the works of the Lord. This and other bible scriptures kept me going. Chemo sucks, but you are strong and your family are such a beautiful blessing in your life. Like you said trials and tribulation will come in our lives but God always gives us a way out. Much love Carmen I'll be praying for you!

Absolutely do what feels right for you. The last thing you need is pressure from a bunch of people you’ve never met. People love to give their opinions. Most people only want to help but don’t realize sometimes it can feel overwhelming and confusing for the recipient.
I’ve experienced this with having a chronic pain condition at 31.
Many of those dishing out advice haven’t experienced what you’re going through. My whole life was ripped apart. It’s not just the condition, it affects your entire life. Everything.

People forget that no two cancers are alike. Alternative therapies do NOT apply to all cancers. You are doing the best you can possibly do. Love and hugs.
Wendy Stavinoha exactly... Many who claim dropping sugar cured them had VERY slow growing tumors. Different cancers, different grades etc make a difference.
I understand what you are saying but a combination of many things won’t hurt. For example no consumption of processed sugars. I’m not saying he consumes it or that that’s his problem just saying that for anyone, not consuming it won’t harm at all.

Hi Dan, I’m not sure whether you are interested in this or if you are even up for it but down here in Australia, a paper has just been published which basically prescribes exercise as one of the forms of treatment for cancer patients. I know there has been a connection between the two for a little while and I’d seen trials running previously so now I believe the findings have come back to support the fact that exercise does actually fight off cancer. Here is the news article which discusses the medical paper written by the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia and the actual paper itself is linked in here too. I know you are quite poorly now so it might now be feasible but in case it is, I am sending it your way, or even for you to add to your research for others to use! Australia really is worth looking at as far as treatment goes too Dan. We are pretty bloody spectacular in as far as our medical fields go (I’m from Jersey actually so I’m not blowing smoke up Australia’s arse ‘just because I’m from here’). If you are looking for any kind of advice on brain tumour issues I cannot recommend Dr Charlie Teo highly enough. He is a neurosurgeon based in Sydney at the Prince of Wales Hospital. The man is a miracle worker. He is renowned for taking cases which no one else will touch. I've only had time to view your most recent videos, but from what I've seen so far I'm sure you are making the best choices. At the most basic level it seems appropriate that you fight an aggressive cancer in an equally aggressive manner, it might make life even more hellish in the meantime but you will at least feel you are giving it your best shot. My sister in law has just been through Chemo for an aggressive acute leukemia and so far things are are looking positive. I do hope the team you have can work out a treatment that is effective and like you already realise doing your own research and asking the right questions is so important. I'm going to follow your story and I really hope that it will be one with a positive ending.
I respect any and all decisions you make. Unfortunately I've had to watch ppl in my family fight like a prize fighter. I'm watching dear friends currently fighting for their lives. My partner of 8 years passed away due to the effects of skin cancer that spread to his internal organs. He didn’t want to try anything to keep going... The fatigue thing is really hard; your mind knows your young and our ambitions still there - but the frustrating anger when your body won’t let you. And then that man pride that we can do it alone...if we’re lucky we accept being humble to even allow someone to help....IT IS ALL JUST TO FUCKIN HARD!
