PeeWeeToms im glad you are ontop of the doctors in giving you all the information I know how stressful that is. What im worried about is your body is receiving all this radiation from scans ect.. and that in itself can cause mutations and spreading of the cancer. You should look into taking supplemental iodine to protect your cells from destruction and mutation of the radiation

And often will totally disregard the topic of my post and tell me to call her, lol. I don't know if it's the pain meds, but you are so engaging, so thoughtful, so vulnerable, and so giving in your videos. All I can think of saying, for as cheesy as it sounds, but the pressure has revealed quite the diamond. You have my full support and all my love. I know someone who had a very very rare type of cancer (I think there were five people with it in up the UK at the time) and the Marsden were incredible for her so I'm very pleased to hear they're now going to be working with you! Different type of cancer so I know it isn't the same, but they seem to take the extra mile when dealing with unusual/less known varieties. I hope th ball gets rolling soon Daniel! genuine support

Hi Dan. Came across your posts a few days ago and my heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time. I know from experience that the NHS can work wonders even when initial diagnoses seem bleak. My dad is walking proof of that. Just over a year ago he had a massive cardiac arrest at home and we were told that only 10% of people survive and those who do have severe disabilities due to the brain being starved of oxygen for so long. At times it was touch and go. The road to recovery was long and stressful, but we got through it as a family and now my dad is fitter than me. Our GP calls him the miracle man! Never lose hope even in the darkest hours because nobody knows what the next day will bring. When my mum was ready to give up hoping I wouldn’t let her and we got through weeks of uncertainty living one day at a time. Then out of the blue dad came out of his coma and recognised us instantly even though we were warned he may have suffered severe memory loss. Although hard at times, I’m sure keeping a positive attitude is key to winning the war even if you take a beating in some of the battles. Can I also praise you on your bravery in sharing your experiences and to let you know you are making a difference in awareness about this. In fact this is the main reason I’m contacting you. My 17 year old son has been suffering with severe pain in his right knee for some time for no apparent reason. He’s still undergoing tests, but after reading about your condition I found symptoms of osteosarcoma and because of similarities in symptoms and my sons age we made a doctors appointment and he was referred for an immediate X-ray to scan for this. Thankfully his X-ray came back clear, but the awareness you are raising about your illness might help someone else get an early diagnosis. Our GP was surprised that I knew about the condition because of it being a rare form of cancer. I’m keeping everything crossed for you and hope you get some positive news soon. Keep your spirits up mate and remember the most testing of times makes us and our family bonds stronger than ever once we’ve recovered. You’ll get there eventually. In the meantime take care of yourself.

Okay, so having watched this video again, the first thing I want to say is how much I appreciate your precious mother. She has such a good sense of humor and practicality even in the midst of something that is difficult for her as well, as she provides support to you and assists in navigating this unfamiliar side of your healthcare system. Some of the things I wondered about after watching this video: 1. Did you ever receive chemo or radiation after your previous surgeries? 2. How did they manage your follow-up after your original diagnosis and surgeries? Were you scheduled for regular follow-up appointments, or did they just tell you to make an appointment if you began to experience symptoms again? 3. So, from what you read in your health record you believe that they documented findings that were not shared with you or otherwise followed up on with regards to a prior surgery, and a scan that showed enlarged lymph nodes? Did the people you saw at Marsden yesterday address any of that, or offer a suggested plan of action that would include addressing those concerns? Is that where the removal of your lymph glands and additional surgery comes into the picture, or was that more of a "big picture" plan going forward from where you are now? Sorry, I know this is long. I'm just trying to understand. 4. A) Are you able to get official copies/transcripts of your patient health records? B) Do you know if your medical team is likely or going to reach out to other cancer treatment teams in other countries who may be able to offer them insights based on experience that they may have that is not yet published in professional journals? C) Have you or your family thought about initiating contact with cancer treatment teams in other countries to see if they can offer some insight or would be willing to communicate with your team in the UK about any aspects of your case where they may feel they could be helpful to ensure you receive the most comprehensive care available? I ask this because there are a couple (probably more than a couple) of cancer centers I came across that deal with sarcoma type cancers in the U.S., and they have forms on their web sites to make an appointment. It gives you an opportunity to get a foot in the door, electonically, if you want to approach them for feedback on your case, which they may be willing to review and discuss with your team in the UK, as a professional courtesy. They may or may not want to talk to you directly, or they may opt for limited conversation with you. It's hard to say.... You may be able to seek out oncology experts in Europe in the same way, but you would have to track them down. It's worth a try, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I would find out how far your own team is digging before doing this though so you don't step on any toes. At the same time you may have to remind them how cognizant you are of the fact that you are fighting for your life against an aggressive cancer, and that time is of the essence, and you feel you need to be very proactive in doing everything you can to slow the progress of this disease especially in light of what appear to be serious lapses or missteps in your original care. Just some thoughts...
We have a team in the US on it at the moment looking into it and in Germany. Now the main thing is radio and chemo are shown to have no effect so in the UK they cannot use it as a treatment for this. So I started the gofundme to try get it elsewhere to try help me.

Oh how I wish I had found you vlog earlier when you were first diagnosed! I would have brought you to Houston and taken you to the M.D. Anderson cancer hospital and maybe they could have helped you.

I always think it's a good thing when doctors are willing to admit when they don't really know about something. I believe they're going to do their best, as they said, to treat you. Your mother is so lovely and calming.

Damn.... I wish the news was better. Love your mom! I lost mine 16 years ago, so treasure each day you have with her and with other friends and family. You can do this -- I am glad you finally have a team in place to really help. Keep the faith.
Okay, so having watched this video again, the first thing I want to say is how much I appreciate your precious mother. She has such a good sense of humor and practicality even in the midst of something that is difficult for her as well, as she provides support to you and assists in navigating this unfamiliar side of your healthcare system.
Some of the things I wondered about after watching this video:
1. Did you ever receive chemo or radiation after your previous surgeries?
2. How did they manage your follow-up after your original diagnosis and surgeries? Were you scheduled for regular follow-up appointments, or did they just tell you to make an appointment if you began to experience symptoms again?
3. So, from what you read in your health record you believe that they documented findings that were not shared with you or otherwise followed up on with regards to a prior surgery, and a scan that showed enlarged lymph nodes? Did the people you saw at Marsden yesterday address any of that, or offer a suggested plan of action that would include addressing those concerns? Is that where the removal of your lymph glands and additional surgery comes into the picture, or was that more of a "big picture" plan going forward from where you are now? Sorry, I know this is long. I'm just trying to understand.
4. A) Are you able to get official copies/transcripts of your patient health records?
B) Do you know if your medical team is likely or going to reach out to other cancer treatment teams in other countries who may be able to offer them insights based on experience that they may have that is not yet published in professional journals?
C) Have you or your family thought about initiating contact with cancer treatment teams in other countries to see if they can offer some insight or would be willing to communicate with your team in the UK about any aspects of your case where they may feel they could be helpful to ensure you receive the most comprehensive care available?
I ask this because there are a couple (probably more than a couple) of cancer centers I came across that deal with sarcoma type cancers in the U.S., and they have forms on their web sites to make an appointment. It gives you an opportunity to get a foot in the door, electonically, if you want to approach them for feedback on your case, which they may be willing to review and discuss with your team in the UK, as a professional courtesy. They may or may not want to talk to you directly, or they may opt for limited conversation with you. It's hard to say.... You may be able to seek out oncology experts in Europe in the same way, but you would have to track them down. It's worth a try, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I would find out how far your own team is digging before doing this though so you don't step on any toes. At the same time you may have to remind them how cognizant you are of the fact that you are fighting for your life against an aggressive cancer, and that time is of the essence, and you feel you need to be very proactive in doing everything you can to slow the progress of this disease especially in light of what appear to be serious lapses or missteps in your original care.

We have a team in the US on it at the moment looking into it and in Germany. Now the main thing is radio and chemo are shown to have no effect so in the UK they cannot use it as a treatment for this. So I started the gofundme to try get it elsewhere to try help me.
PeeWeeToms Ah, I understand... 😕 I hope someone has some sort of epiphany about what to try that will be effective, and that people will be willing to move heaven and earth to make sure you can get that treatment. Miracles do happen sometimes.
