Are you saying the model 3s and Ys driving around to add extra traffic were fake? Are you saying the 20 robocabs people sat in were not actually there? I've been driven by my model Y for undreds of miles with 0 interventions in the past few days alone. Was that a park ride too? Note that my driving was on city roads, highways, and up north at my cottage on tiny winding dirt roads. No geofencing, no road markers, just computer vision. Was I hallucinating that? Now, had you said that the robovan was probably mostly a shell of a vehicle becuase it just drove up and unloaded a bunch of people then didn't do much, then yes, I'd say you have a point. I think that's the least ready product out of everything they spoke about tonight. I also think that they will either have to raise the ground clearance by a substantial amount or add an adjustable air suspension on it becuase there is no way that robovan will clear most speedbumpbs or not be stuck in a pothole at its current clearance level. So please, do critique Tesla, but make it a reasonable critique. Otherwise it undermines your messages. Just my two cents.
@@CyberFridgenope he’s saying that nothing of what was shown was shown on a actual street but in a controlled environment. I just had it drive me from the city to the suburbs 30 miles with zero nags or intervention.
Yea, I don't believe a word about cost per mile or cost of the car. They haven't really delivered on timetables for other products or expected cost of products (look at the Cybertruck as an example). I'll only believe it when I see the actual price when (and if) it's on sale, and the actual data for cost per mile over time. Until then, it's pure speculation.

I bought a Model Y with Full Self Driving 3 years ago... While they have made a lot of progress, it's still nowhere near hands off, let alone 'passenger can go to sleep' operation (unless you want to wake up at the scene of an accident). FSD right now is a 95% solution - which is impressive - but short of the 10 years worth of hype and promises. What's crazy is that us early adopters, who bought into the hype and paid 10K or more for functionality that's 'coming soon', are now hearing that we'll need buy a new car with upgraded hardware to get full functionality! The icing on the cake: Unless you hit a special promotion - we will also have to pay another 10K for the FSD software when you buy that new car. I LOVE my Model Y, but I would be hard pressed to buy another Tesla product, as they are brutal on their customers, especially early adopters of their works in progress.
Yeh, people already sit their kids in front of screens for hours to keep them occupied. Not sure I would trust any kids unsupervised around one of these robots though, if they are anything like I was the thing would be dismantled within a couple of hours. 🤣

It will be far cheaper than any Tesla car when they enter mass production by 2030. They require less materials, especially for the battery (this alone will make it $5-6k cheaper than the cheapest model 3), then you have less metal, electronics, plastic, and other hardware. $20k for this will be possible before 2030, then it will drop to $12-15k by 2030, and most likely less than $10k by 2035 when they will make hundreds of millions each year. The fact that you people can't even comprehend such basic things should be alarming for your future.
In 2019 during Tesla’s Autonomy day, Elon stated that Tesla would have a fleet of fully autonomous robotaxis ready by 2020. Still not even close to a reality 5 years later.
He also had announce the Model 3 would be 30 000$, which it still isn't. It also came out much more expensive than what it is now. So his 30 000$ cost for the robotaxi is also not believable. All of that is probably vaporware, like the new roadster
2:25 A bus has a higher operational cost per kilometer compared to a car, but it can transport far more people, making it more efficient on a per-person basis. Elom Musk don't want you to know that.
Considering fuel costs, driver salary, waiting times, limited routes and all the other additional admin that goes into maintaining a bus company? What about buses that run which aren’t full? Often see empty buses driving around, or with 1 or 2 people on. That’s a net negative cost. Factor all that in, I’d expect it would be more efficient on a per-person basis overall. Ignoring cost per-person, what about people having to wait around for buses, busses being late, busses breaking down? People needing a destination not covered by buses, disabled people who can’t get to a bus stop? I see your thinking, but think it lacks depth.

Everything tonight was essentially a theme park ride. Not actually real
Just like with SFD being no Level 3 autonomous driving cause it still needs to be supervised and you’re in full responsibility if an accident occurs.

The robot “friend” totally won’t lead to a robot apocalypse
No it wont. If it could do anything semi-impressive, they would have shown that. Instead of making them walk a basically straight line with no obstacles, no humans, no task, no nothing. It's hard to accurately paint the picture of just how unimpressive this is. I would compare it to a pre graduation uni student in a robotics course, but im not even joking when i claim that they have to deliver *more* than that to even get in the general vicinity of a passing grade. Only difference being, the Tesla bot was made to look fancy and sell hype, while the people trying to study robotics have to deliver actual results. So no worries there. Similar story for AI btw, just on a global scale and without Elon being involved. Dont worry for the coming decades.
Even if robots did start to revolt and cause an apocalypse, we just need to launch a giant electromagnetic pulse to disable them all
