I too experience a wifi speed issue; on our kitchen tablet it manages to test 12mbps download maximum but more often only 5. It takes more than 30 seconds to load youtube page with thumbnails.. My phone on the same spot as the mini pc does 170-220mbps. Website loading times are like timewarping back to 2001.
Having determined the pcie wifi module is in a pcie socket wedged between the motherboard and the Orico J1 nvme m.2 ssd I reckon perhaps this is somewhat less that optimal. I assume the wires I see trailing away from opposite the pcie connector are solderen on antenna wires? Would repositioning these be of any help in anyones' opinion? I reached out to the seller and he told me to disable powersaving of the wifi adaptor but sadly this is not an option 'anywhere in powerplan settings, devicemanager etc.. The wifi module in this 7840HS aoostar/kingnovy system is Realtek 8852BE pcie
Do you actually have this miniPC? If yes, can you please tell me what is the BIOS version you have? I bought one, though different brand, but looks the same. The BIOS version shows 0.01 ?!!
@@criticaltech7091 I just received it. It feels good, runs OK, but BIOS version shows 0.01, that worries me. Also, there are not so many options in the bios. But built quality is OK. I got 2624 in single core and 13034 in multicore Geekbench 6. And 5306 in 3D Mark Wild Life Extreme on 4K screen
What brand was yours sold under? And have you checked your 2.4G wifi download speeds -- are they okay or too slow? Also, I wonder if you could have a look inside and see which wireless adapter card you've got there (you just have to open the bottom cover and take out the SSD)? See my comment above about a problem I have with wifi. And as far as the BIOS version, mine is the same as yours -- 0.01.
@@Oleg.G. ZB Box, i was getting around 400mbps (my internet box is still WiFi5). It felt solid. As for Wifi+BT card, it says Cdtech, based on RTL8852BE(PCIE+USB). I was taking photos thinking to make video about it.
One SSD comes preinstalled, and you can add a single 2.5" HDD, but doing so requires removing the bottom fan, so the cooling performance would probably take a substantial hit. If you are going to be using it for anything demanding, I would never give up the fan, and you can just as easily add an external drive for more storage.
I have a lesser AMD chipset in another one of these boxes and it surprisingly handled 5120x1440 @ 165hz with ease. 120hz via USB-C. You won't be playing a damn thing at that res.
It runs Forza Motorsport 7 at 1080p, med settings at 95-105FPS, so it can surely handle Fortnite. LOL is running at 240fps (seems like its limited there, like it could go even more)
This has an extra 2242de ssd slot and not a 2280mm ssd
And the 5700u model has a 2.5 inch ssd slot no extra m.2 slot
oh, maybe I got something wrong, excuse me.
I posted a detailed comment yesterday describing a wifi speed issue with this mini-PC, and now I see it has disappeared. I wonder what happened...
I didn't delete it, it should be...
@@criticaltech7091interesting 🤔🤔

@@criticaltech7091 I have tried reposting, and my comments simply don't appear. This is really strange. Can you check your moderation settings?
Is it possible to add another SSD HDD to upgrade the storage?
If I understand correctly, then it is impossible.
what is the branding on the RAM and m.2?
Mini PC packs 32GB of 4800MHz Dual DDR5 Channel RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
On my mini PC I installed ddr 5600 and works great. Any PCIe SSD will work. I have Samsung 970 that I used from my old PC

I don't have this model as this is a rumor video.

How many ssd/hdd in this pc?
1 SSD + 1TB HDD

How does it run fortnite
I think there shouldn't be any problems with this game.
