We did that I was getting a front migraine like a heat stroke.It took 2 hours of ac on the way home some Kentucky fried chicken and alot of cold beers to recover .
I think your going to need to come up with a heated gold pan. Time to break out the sucker tube. Brrrr.

I used to go to my favorite panning location when the water was flowing high so that I could look at how the water flowed THEN. Great stuff.

Haha a week of prospecting and drinking beer while some of have to work😓🚛 I did enjoy this while getting loaded in Yuma AZ..not the good loaded either 😉🍻 Nice gold! That's interesting our claim we been pulling good gold in the section is set up just like that between 2 inside bends and the gold seems best in the middle and slightly left just the same.unfortunaly rain is forecasted next week the week before our 3 day drywasher camp out🤬 still be nice to get out there for more than a day.

@@FlourgoldWizards If there's cracks and crevices, there's got to be gold in them because your pulling it out of the area. As long as I've been doing this, it took me until this year to realize, Aim High. Just like you digging into that bench about two or three videos back. In gorge situations, be the mountain goat and look up high.

@@FlourgoldWizards you need One of them Zippo hand warmers for the pocket.I'm thinking of getting one because when my hands get cold they just won't warm up with the bad circulation.but for some reason when their in water for a while they start to get warm and steam comes from them!!!
That's some nice looking bedrock on that bench overlooking the waterfall. Might be worth sampling some crevices. Yep, looks like you have some winter setting in. 😖

Cold water is tough whether it has ice or not!!!! The frozen pants do make it tough but heck , that’s the fun!!!! Yeah a little deeper and my grapes would’ve turned to raisins real quick! It is a good summer spot but was inaccessible because of record rain this whole year.... try again next season✅🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Got to hand It to you you've gone the Golden mile out in all that Ice fair shout and the scenary is breathtaking trouble with the lads they love the snow but hate the ice penetrating there pads just like our hands i guess there so use to home comforts my lad loves on a cold day cuddling in and in front of a roaring fire,,of course a few beers and beef jerky,they shore know there comforts cute out they are you couldn't have it any other way well there hard working miners.😂❤

It sort of tells me the glacial material im digging came from somewhere with heavily mineralized material… the gold if there is any definitely has a history of being found in such areas !!!

One thing i like is those ice shelves make great gear tables, to put the shovel on or gold pans. If it is thick enough to walk on it gets one directly over deeper places without being deep in the ice water.
I find or make a ice home and sink my sucker tube in it and keep pumping the gravel up into the bucket.

Hi Jason What part of Wisconsin are you from.? I used to live On the Chippewa flowage out of Hayward Wisconsin in the 80s as a fishing guide’ out of Herman’s Landing resort. Also did a little gold prospecting back then. I live in Saint Charles Missouri now. I do quite a bit of prospecting here. Also on the Missouri River, quite a bit of micro gold 200 to 400 mesh. I do pretty good on the bed rock Creeks north of the Missouri River cleaning out the cracks and crevices. A good day on the creek would be 10 to 20 peppers once in a while get a Missouri picker. Check out Kyle Theisman u tube channel on Missouri gold prospecting. I am in a few videos. Anyways looks like you’re having a lot of fun.

Sweet outing Jason...I like it...nice ice busting technique too...though that way is a quick way to put a hole in your boots or waiders...brrr 😨...you'll know it...Nice bedrock outcropping as well...looks interesting indeed...Looks like them boys need warmer coats and booties to deal with that winter diggin' stuff too. Yeah if i put a hole in my new waders the mrs might cut me off for awhile!!!!! Ill be more careful.... Come warmer water next season I’ve got a couple spots to try and snipe and that’s definitely one of them!!!!

@@FlourgoldWizards Well with ice busting...if the shovel won't do it try a pickaxe...they do the trick unless the ice is too thick...course if that is the case the riverbed may be too froze too...saves the booties as well...just mind your balance when using it you don't land face first in the drink...that would not be fun. Or a mason's hammer/prospector's hammer...those are great for ice busting...Bet you probibly have one of those babies, or one of them battery powered impact tools, I hear they are slick for ice or hardrock...As for iced up pans...I just put a lanyard on mine so my gloved hand was tight to my pan...a pain in the butt but I didn't drop my pan...But I was told to try using ductape and tape on some of them break and shake boot or hand warmers to the outside of the pan sides and bottom, boot ones are bigger. Don't know how well that works I've yet to try it my self...but a mad man I sometimes message with up here in Alberta tells me that is his go to for winter pan use. Well enjoy your next outing and keep warm...👍.
