The fall colors are the last bit of beauty for this area for many months. The bitter cold sub freezing temperatures are around the corner and soon there will be blankets of snow and ice covering the hillsides. With any luck from the gold gods I will get this foot injury behind me and be able to get not only back on the nugget narrows spot but get back onto better ground and better winter weather of the west coast. The weather is outstanding for the area at this time of year "figures" sense I have some nuggets to get and cant get to them lol. The farmers almanac says we are in for the worst winter in 40 years there comparing it to the blizzard of 78' I'm praying that's not the case but this "calm" weather for the area isn't a good sign for later in the season. The old saying goes 'red skys at nite sailors delight , red skys in morning sailors take warning '. That's going to apply in a larger scale for snowfall. But your rite on about me being unstoppable lol but I'd rather go out one legged then in one foot of snow!!!!! So let's hope I get walking before it gets to cold lol. We have a small dredge party on Thanksgiving morning in a neighboring private valley to goldrush area planned for myself, NGP, MojoGoldWolf, golden dabber, American Gold prospectors and Alex Au ! So that's something I'm very much looking forward to. Last year it was -14 degrees when Kevin and John went out on Thanksgiving lmao it better not be that cold this year.

Well there all on bedrock 😁 it just matters how deep the bar is. But there will be flood strata's that will hold gold from different floods. Typically the larger ones are more likely to have a very old river bed deposit near the bottom. Getting to it is the hard part

It's still uncomfortable and sore , I can feel the screws alot now. It's still going to be along time before I can hike or get around a river like normal. But I'm doing alot for someone on crutches lol.

what about a gravel bar that a road goes through there have been claims in the area cleveland national forest but the gravel bar nice and flat round rocks I was looking going down the 74 and was like is that what I think it is I found some more rust on the 74 gotta sample that you know as well as I do the placer gold depending on the flow will go very far

😁👍🏼⚒ I was out on the creek in that cast multiple times and left for California a few weeks ahead of when I should have stopped PT . But the doctor cleared me and I hit the California mountains. Since then I've been back to northeast and back to California and found 35 grams in 2 weeks and now I'm back in the northeast waiting for the snow to stop and get dredging.

You have hard working hands guy. I learned to test all the way across the bar.You can find a spec next to a pile and say..." there's nothing good here" in holes. Test a canal in various spots all the way across the bar to find the pay streak from the head, the tail, the whole damn thing. Holes fool too many people. Ouch !! Wet rocks are slippery and land on your feet. Get well soon guy.

We have worked that entire section of river for a few years its consistently good year to year. But the name of the game is move ground when it comes to gravel bars and theres large boulders about 3 feet down and I cant get them out rite now with my foot I'm already pushing the envelope.....😁😆👍🏻⛏

I got creative and figured how to secure a "come along" hand winch off my broken Pick-up truck, made a net with small Home Depot chain and attach the cable to the chain web. Dig around big rocks position it low, the rock will fall into the chain web. You can wrap a chain with a short chain spare and padlock the winch to trees. If someone goes through the efforts to steal it and get it, they deserve it. But nobody has done that to me yet, it's always there when I go back. You need a few small pulleys to go around corners sometimes, but you will be surprised what you can move by yourself. Did you find out which of the fork rivers is bringing the Gold ? I like watching video's like yours because there's no BS in them.

Absolutely its driving me bonkers knowing the Gold and info I've come across in the last few months. Snow and sub freezing weather is coming just in time for me to be able to hike a little. I'm having bad reactions to cold weather for some reason after being west for 2 winters. Didnt even think it was a thing but I have allergic reactions to the cold now lol so who knows what I'll be dealing with this season end. I do have plans for a little staycation westside work/play type stuff so maybe we can mingle for a bit. Hope all is well and that nugget is keeping you smiling

Always worth a test pan! Gravel bars can be tricky to track the pay sometimes but test test test and then you will know 👍🏻
