I needed this video so much to escape to paradise because a week ago my beloved cat Pucci passed away and it’s been so hard to lose my best friend of the past 14 years. Your videos bring me so much joy and peace so thank you for sharing your love of the beach and amazing finds like that stunning horse conch ! ❤️🐚🦀🏖️
I'm so sorry for your kitty's passing! I know how hard it is to lose that warm and comforting presence which graced your life for so long! May you find solace in the sound of the waves and in the exuberance of our Beach Angel. Much love from Tennessee to you, dear.
Hello Beach Angel and all present! Hope you've had a good week. So glad we're all going to the beach! Meowza! That horse conch is so amazing! Congratulations on finding it, dear lady! Can hardly wait to see it cleaned up! Hope its colors stay clear. That peachy blush is lovely. Did anyone else see the newsbite pop up on your phone about Junonias? Apparently, there are more of them to be found this year, so...happy hunting, everyone! Well, dear, you may not have found a lot of shells today, but you sure found a whole lotta shell! Quality over quantity, huh? Oh, that horse conch did turn out well! So happy for you! Much love to you, Beach Angel, and to all of you who love all things beachy! Rebecca The Lost Mermaid🧜🐚 ❤
First off, I must say, that Horse Conch is INCREDIBLE!!!! You are a Lucky Gal, Shar!! I had to pause the video for a giggle when you said "I'm more of a low hanging fruit..., walk see, pick, that's kind of how I roll. That was so cute, Shar. About those Barnacles!! Thank you for taking me back to Sanibel. ❤ Did I say how amazing that Horse Conch is?? Thank you, again, Shar. ❤❤❤ PS I may have forgotten to say that your Horse conch is truly AWESOME! 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Sharmon! You just get luckier every beach trip you make!! Wow! Nice giant horse conch. I love Blind Pass and I love Turner Beach on the other side of bridge. Some of my best shelling has been there. My daughter and I found tons of giant Bittersweets at Allison Haggerup and all the way down to the end of Captiva. Never saw one on any other beach. Thanks for my favorite Sunday "beach time." Have a great week!

Dear Sharmon, Wow wow wow!! That horse conch is incredible. 2:24 OMG you found another big Horse Conch shell, wow I’m so happy for you 🥲, I just love big seashells, it’s so good to hear the ocean inside the conch shell, besides I used to have one, like mine was a white Horse Conch shell, I found it at the shop in San Diego since 2014 when me and family went to San Diego very Thanksgiving we go to San Diego. Every year in Thanksgiving I used to buy more seashell, because you know that I like watching more shells videos so I can learned more names about seashells. Just love how happy you are with the horse conch you found!! This was a fun day at the beach. I’m in Illinois and it’s cloudy, gray and cool. Would love to be searching for shells.
That shell is so beautifullllllll!! i too would be staring at it all day, i love it when things you wish to have in a collection just show up on the shore at the right time! i got a big boy like that from the east coast during a hurricane long agooo. Thank you so much for the beautiful video
A couple years ago my mom, her friend & I went to Bowmans & Blind Pass. We stayed over night on Sanibel. That night it was a Super moon & windy. When we went to the beaches, we couldnt believe our eyes. There were piles of shells almost a foot deep. Piles & piles of them. We made out like bandits lol
Sanibel did give you a Christmas gift! A thought about the glass bits you remove... generally, I applaud your efforts in removing trash from the beach -- thank you thank you! When you find a small piece of glass that's not quite sea glass but doesn't have sharp edges, though, why not return it to the beach to continue the process of being ground into sea glass?
I picked up a piece of glass off the beach this morning and thought to myself it's strange people want me to leave this on the beach! In my brain, bare feet and glass do not mix, and we have lots and lots of bare feet on the beaches down here. I imagine it's customary somewhere else to put the "not fully frosted" glass back in the ocean, but our waters are usually pretty calm so finding "legitimate" seaglass down here is pretty tough. So instead of thinking I'm taking some future seaglass from someone, I'm thinking I'm protecting somebody else's feet.
True! I'd only leave a piece if it had fully snoothed edges that are essentially foot-safe! Good point though about glass pretty much not progressig to that frosted look in the gentle surf of the Gulf.@@SWFBeachLife
What a score with that monster right off the bat! Isn't it crazy how it was just laying there? They're tough to find intact around there these days, they just get picked out instantly with them being so large and obvious. Nice bittersweet too. My theory on their abundance on the east coast is since deeper water is closer to shore on the east coast then the west, and with bittersweets tending to prefer those deeper waters, they might not have as long of a travel time to get the beach. It could also explain why they're usually more worn down once they make it to the beach out there too. I'm slowly but surely making my way through your recent videos!
I found an arrowhead sand dollar on Coya Costa and it was explained to me that there are deeper channels up that way, so I think your theory of the bittersweets is right. I bet Lion Paws like the deeper water too as I found one of those on Captiva once too. I was absolutely stunned to find that conch just washing up right in front of me. I have the trim-fecta of finding them: snorkeling, digging and now rolling! 😂

Great find Charmaine!
THANK YOU!
AHHH YOU HAD A WENTLETRAP AND DROPPED IT BACK IN THE WATER!! When you had that small fighting conk
Yup - I totally missed it!
Wow! Nice horse conch. That’s so exciting!
The escarpments can be great. I found a giant Atlantic murex that way. I saw the top and dug.
Lucky you! Oh I'd love to find one of those. 🐚
@@SWFBeachLife I hope you do find one. I’m in North Carolina.
Thanks!
Lori you are the bomb! Thank you so much once again!
