i must say this is one of the premier channels on youtube. loads of interesting information. not overproduced with long intros and loud music, instead offering a quick welcome and then sharply delving into the content (while still providing sponsors a chance to get shown). lovely and mesmerizing voicework and enthusiasm by Nick. 12 stars out of 5 sir!

I think they still have an option for a generator, which I think is necessary, in case of consistent bad/cloudy weather. The generator would then run the motors at low speed and charge the batteries.

I checked out the other versions on their website, the forward access version just has so many benefits over that (in my opinion) excessive cabin. The helm gets moved farther forward, you get what looks like a sun pad across from it (or maybe a double/queen bed equivalent) along with a rear cabin I'd love to convert to either a small workshop, remote office or quiet lounge (with a day head since that annoyingly seems to vanish on the other version)
Still a beautiful ship but creating a day head would be a requirement in my books.

I really like the conception of electric catamarans - covering so little surface means that smaller engines can do the job just as well, reducing the needed space, while, being electric, allows even and clever distribution of the power which further frees up space. It is a really practical, smart and efficient, many people will love this.
But, and this is a big but - I do not believe we are there yet. Batteries, while getting constantly cheaper and easier to acquire, are still the weakest link. They quickly degrade, even when not in use, and are under the constant risk of failure. The batteries on a brand new boat will allow you to travel the world, but, what about after 2 years? 3 years? And they are not so easily replaceable. Same goes for the solar panels, which, not only are a target of degradation, but are also out there and are under the risk of being damaged by hailstorms and heavy weather.
Still, lets finish this on a brighter note - tech is constantly getting better, new types of batteries are being tested and perfected, which are going to boost electrical far ahead, so, given few years, the concept of electrical catamarans could actually become the preferred one once long life is assured as a quality.

The flybridge roof is a great idea. Lowering it means that none of the panels will be in shadow when underway.

Best thing about a catamaran is the stability on the water, probably a very gentle ride

I thought i be looking at a ordinary Hull design of a Catamaran, the feature of a forward cabin was a intresting! Nice

The doors to the toilet on cabins 3 and 4 seem a bit pointless when you can still look at it through two walls of a glass shower.

I don't usually love cats, but that one is impressive indeed. The flybridge is fascinating.

The forward master is a nice touch. The open walk thru option on catamarans, while being convenient, looks like it would be a disaster in heavy seas. I think you would not be able to shed water fast enough to avoid water in the cabin.

I try very hard to get excited about a solar powered vessel, but it just is not happening. At 5 knts I would go 🤪. Even 8-10 knts would bother me knowing I was going flat out. Nice review though!

It's the kind of speed many sailboats cruise at, and they have to zig zag sometimes!

Can't wait to see someone who takes this thing across the ocean, I know it has been done, but I want to see the entire journey.
