@@reisanibal1 fight for q3? the only of their direct opponents that have a disadvantage because of the engine mode bans are williams.
who else are they gonna beat, apart from their customer teams? racing point? too good chassis. renault? too good chassis. mclaren? too good chassis. alpha tauri? could be close.
also keep in mind that because of the quali mode ban, the other engine manufacturers can use their engines more aggressively in the race now.
there is no hope for ferrari.
@@reisanibal1 With party mode ban the teams with the best engines will get better and the team with the worst engines will only get worse. Ferrari has the worst engine this season and Mercedes still have the best.

@@MaxskiSynths It could just be a one off. Look at last year at Canada. Ricciardo somehow qualified P4. But then the rest of the time he got standard positions for the Renault in qualifying

@Ved Singh You mean that Ferrari putting Vettel behind on their priorities list does justice to a 4 time world champion who is known to be able to rival Hamilton and Rosberg, and that it is nice to see teams playing favourites and disregarding the driver's feelings?
@@ack434 He might be a 4 time champion, but he is clearly not on top of his game, the last few years.
And a team shoild always prefer the driver that's most likely to present the results they need.

Great decision from F1 YT channel to pick Sam, always love his commentary on Super GT and Super Formula, he really is a good choice, although not an ex-driver or an ex-engineer, he will always talk in an enthusiastic way when it comes to motorsport.
Tech talk is my favorite part of race weekends.

Fun tech video. We road cyclists know very well about the aerodynamic draft we get from trailing close behind other riders. The advantage, even at speeds around 20 MPH is very significant.

372 kph was set in 2005 Monza by JPM if I'm not mistaken.. MP4-20 was a monster.. My all time favourite one..

At 0:13, can you see "water" on the ground? That's a MIRAGE IMAGE!!
It happens when the road is much hotter than the air, it starts reflecting the sky (or, in this case, the banners in the background).
Note how the mirage disappears around the car at 0:22 as it disturbs the air and ejects hot one.
Slip stream is important!
