Thank you! I have a chrome pole currently but am looking into a powder coated pole to switch it out with. I’m much more into tricks than flow and the additional grip is very enticing. This was definitely super helpful and answered questions I didn’t even know I had haha.
Saving up for a pole because the one I have I got on Amazon and I thought it was gonna be good but I barely use it because no matter what I do it’s tooooo slipper, so now I’ve realized it’s because $170 for a pole is cheap, and now that I’ve been doing pole for over a year I feel like it’s really time to get a proper pole to do it at home even though I don’t have much space I can still pole condition and do small flow stuff, and I couldn’t choose between the different types of poles but after watching this I think powder is perfect for me especially cause I’m in Florida.
Isopropyl Alcohol or what many dancers have, vodka, can be used on any pole including brass. There are some kinds of soft plastic that are affected by alcohol, but they aren't used for poles.
The more interesting question is, which surfaces allow cleaning with acetone as it works A LOT better than isopropyl alcohol. The metals have no issues but the powder coating and the silicone might become dull if too much acetone is used.
I just got a 2nd hand lupit 45 mm stainless steel and I am so frustrated with it, it is so slippery! I am used to a 43mm brass for Australian wheater, I have no problem with that or chrome or coated and I am a pre advanced so my grip is good, but everywhere I hook my legs they slip away completely 😭 I don’t know what to do and if it’s better to change the pole
@@laanmac1 thanks for the recommendation but I don’t think I can find this brand in Australia. I tried shaving creams before and they don’t work well for my skin type. I found a grip called iTac2 that seems to work pretty well with my skin because it’s quite tacky. I also noticed that in hot days I grip well now, the problem is when the temperature is quite low…
I got a chance to try Brass pole in Korea. To me it was slippery but Brass pole would work great in humid climate❤. Also you need to use special cleaner for Brass material.

This is such a good review of the different pros and cons of each option this company offers, and entertaining, too! Great graphic at the end.
Thanks so much!🙏🏻💕💕
