      Me too! Does your stainless steel one gets super slippery with body grips?? Mine is so bad, I can’t get any part of body grip on the pole except my hands. My hands feel firmly gripped on the pole and I fell down from the pole from this stainless steel one. I have never fall down before😞😭

      @@serenaspolelife3345 I ended up getting the Lupit chrome pole but it's still not as good as the chrome X-Poles that I'm allergic to. :/ If it gets warm enough it's not so bad, but it's hard for me to tell since my leg skin is perpetually dry and won't stick. Dew Point Pole helps a bit, but if you've got dry skin, the powder coat might be a slightly better option. It's a little uh... intense though.

    Hi! Thank you for your review, twas very helpful! Yet I'm still debating on which to get. I get super sweaty T_T and really would like to get a stainless steal or a brass pole, but now I'm considering this Lupit Chrome. I was looking at both xpole and Lupit and i'ts so hard to choose. I am sensitive to metals for sure and read in another comment that you don't recommend the xpole chrome for that. Also if i did get the brass I would get the Xpole because I'm pretty sure that the Lupit Brass poles are custom order.
    I've danced in clubs before and haven't in a long while and have been really wanting to get a pole for my home. I'm not sure what material the poles were at the club, but i think they were stainless steel.
    I'm quite small (4"11) but my ceiling is quite hight lol, 2950mm.
    Do the pressure mounted poles have to be on a beam inside the ceiling for them to be sturdy (i hope im describing that alright)?
    I know you can't recommend one over the other, but In your opinion between the Brass Xpole, the Stainless in both or the Chrome Lupit which might be the one best suited? And how do you feel about the titanium gold (I don't really understand what that is).
    Thank you so much, I'm really happy i found your channel!

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry I didn't see this until now. I hope you found your answer. And yes, you'd have to install the pole to a stud (beam) to be safe. If you're slippery, I would def go with brass or chrome (Lupit). I don't recommend chrome from xpole because of the toxicity, but it does also stick rather well if you're willing to buy a new one regularly.

    Hy dr. Ken, when you say that edges should be completley flushed 3:09 does that mean that parts should be perfectly fitting on each other? Because, with my pole that isnt the case. On one side of the diameter they are perfectly in line and on the other side i can se small (like half of one milimeter) deviation....I cant figure out what am I doing wrong, so I thought that maybe you have some suggestion? I would say that other points are like they should be and that is only the case with that "covering" part.

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pieces should be fitting perfectly, yes. In manufacturing, each joint and segment needs additional refinement to be sure the pieces are the exact fit for each other due to material standards that have minor discrepancies which usually wouldn't be an issue, but for pole, it's very precise. I would reach out to Lupit to make sure that you don't have a more than acceptable margin of error. While it would be safe in terms of stability, getting cut is no fun.

    Thanks for your thoroughness! Any updates on how the pole is doing after almost 2 years? Would this still be your chrome pole of choice?

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm still using it regularly. Lupit is highly variable in terms of stickiness depending on humidity, which is important to note. There are some adjustments I've recommended to Lupit, and I believe most have been implemented (though they recently moved factories, so I don't have the latest info).
      Overall, still quite pleased with it. Top and bottom, if you live somewhere super humid, could have some amount of rusting as the material isn't chrome right near the top plate, and the rubber of the top and bottom plates can also in high humidity start to unglue--so you have to check for that.
      This is not unique to Lupit, to be clear. It's part of just pole wear and tear than all manufacturers are continually working to improve.

    Hi! Awesome video! I am torn between the Lupit Pole and the Xpole, which would you recommend? I am sensitive to nickel/metals* so I do plan on going with the stainless steel option... I am slightly worried about the grip but open to the challenge. I should also mention I am new to pole. Thank you for your help!

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think both are good brands to work with. Xpole, however, as I understand it--has stalled all shipments at this time because of stock/covid/etc and so lupit is the only one that you can expect in a reasonable amount of time at this point. So, sorry I can't really help with your exact choice (as I have minor quips on either pole brand), but I really do like the removable lupit pro pole if you're willing to drill into your ceiling. X-pole, just don't get the chrome, and be ready to be a bit confused on the install. I don't have a discount code for xpole, however.

    Thanks for this video! I have a plaster ceiling at home, do I need to position this pole by finding a stud in the ceiling?

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I missed this comment. Plaster, depending on your individual construction, may not be trustworthy. But in general, yes, you need to be on a stud to be safe.

      @@DoctorkenPoleNinja Im in Aus so plasterboard is what you would gypsum in the US. It is the standard white ceiling you see in many residential homes. And there timber at joists in the ceiling. Is that the plaster you are thinking of?

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mandy145 Nope. That might be different. The plaster in the US, as I know it (not an expert at all) is usually just a cover for a fake ceiling. Def consult with some pole locals and handy individuals.

      @@DoctorkenPoleNinja Thanks so much for clarifying that! Yep, definately different here then. I will double check but my plasterboard ceiling is definitely not a fake ceiling. They are 13mm boards that are fixed to the primary frame. I will double check for sure!

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lupit website is confusing, right? Haha. I think they are undergoing a redesign soon. I believe that what you're looking at is the difference between the quick lock system, and the one without a quick lock system.

    I followed all of the install instructions, yet when I spin on the pole in static mode it is still releasing or tightening tension instead of holding in place. Anyone have any clue what I might be doing wrong?

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure the 3 screws under the mask are fully tightened.

    • @CrazyJasyy
      @CrazyJasyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the same problem. Tightened the screws as much as possible, without overtightening them. What helped is to really tighten the part that covers the screw part (I hope that that is clear). With a lot of force, it still moves, but I don‘t do crazy enough moves at home for this to be a problem during my practice at the moment. One day I will for sure get their pro pole, that I can screw into the floor and ceiling, just to be really secure.

    Thanks for the review! I have had my chrome 45mm X-Pole xpert for 6 years now. No clue how often you should replace your pole, but I feel like its time and I am considering a 42mm or 40mm now that I do mostly Russian exotic on static. I am also in Colorado, so you are familiar with the climate. I was wondering if you have some insight on the difference between the chrome Lupit vs Xpole when it comes to grip and feel. So hard to decide without being able to try both.

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it's chrome, and it's been very frequently used, you might consider the potential nickel poisoning. Lupit chrome is definitely more slippery initially in terms of how it feels. I still prefer lupit for all those things mentioned, but in terms of grip, it's clearly in xpole's favor.

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja

      Not the base, but there's a middle segment that's able to move when you put effort into turning it separate from the other pieces.

    I don't understand why the new poles insist on hex keys (started with x, now this and other knockoffs) and all of this over engineered attachment mechanisms. The original Platinum Stages multipiece poles were the shiz. Long threads, screw together, remove a basic pin at the base to spin. They didn't start spinning in you randomly, or twist apart in the middle
    They screwed up later on in the game and went cheap steel and bad threading on people and that was the beginning of their demise I feel.
    Man I wish I didn't sell my old school multipieces!

    • @DoctorkenPoleNinja
      @DoctorkenPoleNinja  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree, in general. Unfortunately, platinum stages flexed a lot and often came down on me, but the spin static pin was fantastic. The Lupit Pro One Piece doesn't have any hex key aside from initial install, and it's my favorite pole. lupitpoleusa.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=384&tracking=9AkCkT6qUl6GxVNBvHqknqI6RCCPpE6RdRSxQ7eGTqDWuQJgMg5Z1oYLfdbehwCz
