    OK, so I've watched the last few videos and must say you are doing great for 30 hours of flight time! I'd fly with you any time! I would just like to suggest you try something that helped me out a bit in the last 30 feet of landing: Before you flare give a healthy two swipes of nose up trim to stop the descent for a moment. See if that helps you stabilize your landings at all. Your third landing (the second landing at Clarksburg) had a beautiful approach, but you lost the centerline and didn't flare quite as much as you should to protect your nose wheel. The same thing definitely happened at Washington. Two swipes nose up trim... see if that helps.
    You're doing great!

    In this video, what size iPad are you using? In a recent video I saw you using the iPhone. I just got a Mini iPad and hope to use it this weekend. Love your videos, they inspire me to get my certificate!

      iPad mini is perfect and what I always use! The video you saw with my iPhone was a day I forgot my iPad, but the iPhone makes a perfect backup!

    Why are you messing around with and E6B when you have Foreflight in front of you?

    • @MidlifePilot
      @MidlifePilot  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because at that time, the DPE I was going to use required use of analog E6B. Fortunately, he retired, and I ended up with one that embraced the safety benefits of not being head down in paper charts and E6B in the cockpit, and we used ForeFlight for EVERYTHING on my checkride. So I was just practicing.

      @@MidlifePilot I’m still forcing myself to learn manual calculations as well and VOR navigation too. It’s fun to hand calculate stuff and be correct. Makes the challenge of flying very rewarding -student ppl pilot
