Hey Phyre That is actually a very good statement. The sad truth is due to the pandemic and disorganization of the shipping industry, it had caused a significant delay to Good Smile Company US. I utilise Good Smile Company global as I live in Asia so there wasn't that much issue on my end. In this current period, I would say it is advisable to scout out Amiami or perhaps your local official retailers instead to get your nendos momentarily. All the best in your preorders! And wow! 5 nendos! Pretty big order! Haha
I definitely think Pop up parade is a nice addition from GSC, as because it provides a variety of figures at a more affordable cost! Usually their PVC scale figures are rather costly!
Even though I'm not at the same calibre of collecting as KenKen, AnimBae, AnimePlz123 etc, three things I would suggest to new collectors: 1.) Don't rush into a pre-order/purchase - Wait a day to 2 weeks and really consider if you want a certain figure before committing. This is important, not only because you won't waste money (especially when you buy scale figures), but also because backing out of an order/pre-order too much with AmiAmi will get you permanantly banned from their site. 2.) Understand that figures are expensive because of quality - I see a lot of people who are ignorant of this and think figures are deliberately made expensive to gatekeep who can possess them/meet larger profit margins which isn't true. When you drop $100+ on a figure, you're essentially buying a guarantee that the quality of the figure is the best of the best in terms of figure mould, paint and colour quality, details, and materials. 3.) Be cautious of local stores with figures, even specialised anime stores - In my country, there are multiple stores based around anime (Anime House, Hobby Zone, Kiss Anime NZ) who do have genuine figures from Banpresto, EXQ and the like, however, there are bootlegs which are slipped in with fairly high prices (I'm not sure if bootlegs are thrown in intentionally or the suppliers they buy from are dishonest). This is why I would highly recommend you learn how to spot bootlegs and be aware of the possibilities.

yes, unfortunately, you are absolutely right. Guess it was good till while it lasted, but with the shipping cost on the rise; I suppose GSC couldn't afford to provide combined shipping no longer. I've honestly switched up to AMIAMI or local authorized retailers instead! It is fortunate that the Yen has depleted a bit to help reduce that cost
I ordered a Re-released for the Naruto Uzamaki Nendoroid figure, however, it mentioned shipping should take 3-5 business days for “Available Now figures” which it was (but I ordered the figure on 12/19/2021). Is it cause of COVID and the holidays my figure is delayed?
Hey Adrienne! So sorry to hear that. Definitely, the Holiday season would have played a part however can I ask which store did you buy it from? It really does vary as for example, AmiAmi does take up several weeks during busy periods however GoodSmile themselves are totally unpredictable
I bought my first 2 nendoriods recently and Idk if to keep them on the box since I leave in a humid environment and idk if that could damage the figures or buy a display case that could help with that, any recommendation, oh btw the video was super helpful for my future purchases
Thank you for the lovely comments! Good question! The newer nendoroids I'll say from a few years day 5+ is still viable and that they won't be damaged by the humidity. This is likely due to the better material they use for making them. Whereas if you had acquired nendoirds that were released say 10 years over do take caution as they will likely be damaged and produce a sticky like goo on the surface. So with that said, my best advice are the following. If you choose to open and display them, get any glass cabinet that could reduce the dust coming in. Normally people acquire detolf shelves from ikea. Second option, I have quite alot of nendos that I have not opened for some time, this with that said, if you keep that away from direct sunlight and make sure to ventilate your room, the nendos would be fine! Hi! I'm now getting into buying Nendoroids. I want to buy from Mandarake, there's a Nendoroid that I can't find anywhere but there but I read they don't accept Prepaid cards. I don't have a credit card so would they allow me using my prepaid card money sent through paypal or can I use a credit card from my parents? I don't know if that will work if the names don't match up plus the 3D security thing.
Hi there! Welcome to the nendoroid collector's world! Haha yes they don't accept debit cards but using paypal. Shouldn't be an issue if you have your card under PayPal. Even if there is a problem, if you utilize your parents credit card I believe payment should go thru. My best advice is to try to purchase it first and it will likely go thru. If you have any issues feel free to reach out to their support who is fluent in multiple languages and should be able to assist you best. Good luck with the hunt!

Great question, I would honestly say it highly depends on the series. A couple of example could be say Hero academia or Fate grand order. Both of the series are highly popular and the prices of the first released nendoroids were very expensive. However as the series was still ongoing and there were plenty more seasons to come, it would make sense for GSC to meet the demand. So with that said, what nendoroids/series are you looking at specifically? Would it be Haikyuu/Darling in the Franxxx, Perhaps?

In my personal opinion, I have had to wait for some time for some nendoroids to ever rerelease again but sadly after 6+ years they have not. For example, Tsunemori Akane from Psycho Pass. Now, should you choose to save up and spend for the characters you seek, please keep in mind that there's still a chance for rerelease but it solely depends on your desire. I have had acquired Nendoroid before that I've regretted as well as overspend, only to find out the price dropped significantly due to rerelease. I'm sorry if my advice was rather ambiguous, as it is hard to advise when prices are unreasonable and Good Smile Company controls the market. ALL THE BEST
