Shutoku Mukai always had the best progression, and to think that he wrote such amazing lyrics and melodies is just beyond me. People say NG sounds much like Pixies or SY, but to me they are an entity of their own, especially by Sappukei where they go full post-hardcore. Thank you for this video, I will definitely use these elements to incorporate into my music. 👍
Great video! some of the chords are named wrong here is a correct naming of the chords 1. Bm11 2. F#m11 3. Gmaj7add6 (or Gmaj13) 4. this one is correct 5. Asus2 6. Fmaj7#11/A 7.Bsus4 8.Cmaj7(#11) (or Cmaj7b5) cheers mate
@@3dmovieplayer hehe I just copy pasted, I don’t know anything really about chord naming. How did you find this video btw? Seems to have gotten a bunch of action the last 24hrs
@@HezJP this tone is based off of mukai's tone, no? im probably not alone in saying this but i'd love to see a video on hisako-san's guitar, too. love it!
@@quarryqwerty I went for Mukai's tone because I'm a big Hikarisyuyo fan and he basically copied that sound :P I could maybe do a Hisako tone but I never tried it - it's been a while since I've listened to number girl!
Number Girl's guitar tones have always been amazing. The way the spanky, sparkly sound of Mukai's tone plays of Tabuchi's more distortional-heavy tone is amazing, and Nakao's low, buzzy bass tone is great all its own. I'd be lying tho if I said OP didn't nail the Mukai tone down to a tee lol

Does the ^ symbol means major or something else? Because i don't play guitar so i'm not really used to see that symbol.
Wich pedals do u use?
This was done with a Joyo American Sound and a Zoom MS70CDR for the comp/verb - I did a video on the tone!
