I don't believe I'm saying this but I'm starting to prefer Idris Elba's Knuckles and personality in this upcoming Sonic Movie 2 over his personality and voice actor from the recent 3d Sonic games. I know shocker.

Apparently from the Novelization, Sonic is stated to have "Chaos Energy" inside of him, so maybe the Electricity is supposed to be a representation of that Chaos Energy?? It would make sense since Shadow's Chaos Spear is also Electric based.
Aahh also makes sense why they all have that energy, all the beings from their world must have some amount of chaos energy which is why they can control the chaos emeralds. Perhaps we'll see this more with knuckles connection to the master emerald and shadows engineered mastery of chaos energy. Pretty interesting

I have a theory that the electricity around Sonic and knuckles's eyes symbolizes their connection to the chaos emeralds seeing as how knuckles is the guardian of the master emerald and both him and Sonic have super forms with the chaos emeralds.
This film series has come a long way! I can guarantee you that when it comes out in theaters once the pandemic settles, it’s gonna surpass the first movie box office record.
The scene where Sonic runs through the temple, it's literally Labyrinth Zone! You can see the pink and blue crystals and those spikes/spears that pop up and down! It even ties with the owl civilization thing, since it's on Labyrinth that they are very clearly shown!
yes its a sonic level, specifically labrynth zone, i mean it has the blue and pink crystals like in the games, a bunch of owl designs like in the level, its underwater themed and it has the dreaded spear traps

I have a theory: Sonic Tails and Knuckes are each an embodiment of a chaos emerald, which is why each one of them seem to have that familiar electric glow when they use their powers. For instance, Sonic would be the blue emerald, tails would be the yellow emerald, and knuckles would be the red emerald. The ultimate evidence to this theory is the fact that the master emerald has the exact same electric power qualities.

I’m super hyped for this movie. This tv spot makes me even more excited. However, there is a voice inside that wished that these Sonic movies were fully animated. Like you can see that this is made by people who truly care about and love the source material and they actually made me find Sonic to be a really great character after what the current games are making out of him character wise. A part of me still wished that it was animated yet i can also see why they didn’t make it fully animated. Nonetheless I’m still excited for this.

It simply wouldn't make sense for the death egg scene to be towards the end of the movie. Solely because Tails literally introduces himself to Sonic during the flight scene and we see him in plenty of other scenes including the exploration of all those different biomes!! So if anything this is likely at the early stages, they manage to shut it down or something and then the chase for the master emerald begins along with the first encounter against Knuckles.
