Nah, the first trailer was for a horror film, this one is for a film that actually looks good.

The original wasn't that bad though I get it doesn't look that much like the real sonic but people exaggerated his old look too much
I get the feeling the first trailer was on purpose to draw up hype for the new trailer after all bad publicity can be used effectively as everyone will be watching the trailer to see what’s improved.

There's definitely some reshoot that were made. You can see James Marsden's shirt changed in a few scene. One where he wear a checkered shirt, and another one he wear a black shirt

Those two lines are perfect for Sonic & Eggman…especially Carrey’s dialogue. I’d imagine the doc would be fed up with all the failures and would scream this to himself whenever Sonic beats him.

Now that they've shown more, the movie itself actually looks entertaining, I don't know but I'm a little more excited now. And the design man, It looks really good now.
Im glad there taking a more humourous route too. I mean its a movie about a blue hedgehog with super speed lol so yeah happy about that
I don't think it'll be an amazing movie but the fact they did a complete 180 and actually listened to fan feedback definitely makes it worthy of a watch at the very least.

Tim Henke yeah I’m under the assumption that like 90% of the same scenes are still in the movie, they just picked better ones for a trailer this time around and framed the story in a better way for sure

As far as I know the only fictional location on planet Earth in this film is Green Hill, Montana. Other then that it's mostly real world locals. Hope to see fun action in San Fran.

I'm seeing this not because of story, but because they actually had the respect to fix this character. Now they got my money. I'm actually hype to see this Sonic movie. Never thought i say that because i bashed the hell out of the original trailer.
Nameless while I agree I always did I have faith with Jim Carrey as Robotnik but sonic looked awful 8 months ago and luckily they saw the negative response and redesigned him (or always intended to use this design and used the awful one as a publicity stunt 🤷♂️) to appease and make the fans more happy
The icing on the cake, for it to be my favorite movie of 2020, is if Jim Carrey says *_PINGAS_*

It's good for those classic expressions and in 2D animation it can work, but on 3D things have to stay on model so the movement of the face is kinda limited.

Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! The new trailer looks awesome. Sonic is adorable. The new design is perfect. I don't want to offend anybody, but I honestly feel like the movie is portraying Sonic's personality better than the last games.
Also, the music actually fits this time. The only problems for me before were the music and Sonic's design. Besides that, I thought the previous trailer was pretty cool.

@@Frosted_Moontips More like, since Colors. Remember, his personality has been developing with each subsequent entry of the franchise since Adventure and he peaked in Unleashed and Black Knight.
Ever since Graff and Pontac took over being the main writers, Sonic's been too one-dimensional, just exuding a character trait of arrogance, cockiness and being a jerk most of the time.
Yeah, Sonic was cocky before Colors but not to the point where it feels out of character for him.

@Ivan Dani75 As much as I hate it when fans freak out over how amazing Green Hill is in fangames, you have to admit, either Green Hill itself truly looks better than the versions shown in the official games or Green Hill simply is just a good starting grounds for a fangame to show off what it's capable of.
But at this point, Green Hill really needs to die off already. Hell I'll take Emerald Coast knockoffs like Wave Ocean instead!

It's starting to become really hard not to believe that fans can do Sonic Team's or even SEGA in general jobs far better. Especially with the amount of promise said fangames bring to the table.
@Ivan Dani75 Honestly, I think it's mostly just SEGA pushing their workers too hard to meet deadlines. If fan game makers of the many 3D Sonic fangames got hired without being stressed so much by SEGA could make a very good Sonic game.
Also, ditch Iizuka and maybe call up Miyamoto for some pointers on good level design. And NOT hire three random people who never worked on a Sonic game in their lives.

Moise IT it’s a really good song, but it just doesn’t fit with sonic in anyway.

I agree on what you said about Jim Carrey's interpretation being a mix of the goofy Eggman and the threatening Robotnik.
I think what makes Eggman such a good villain is how they balance the goofy stuff with him being an actual threat.
Too much of one makes him feel like a pathetic clown and too much of the other makes him boring, so I'm glad they're striking a balance.
You're the first "reaction video" I've seen that immediately recognized all the things that make this "Sonic". Well done! So many posers on the internet who didn't perk up when they heard the Green Hill music.
Hopefully we can get an even bigger reaction from Sam at the game awards.

This actually looks good. THIS is how you do Sonic with realistic details. Keep the design basically the same, make him have realistic fur textures

Wow, I wake up in the morning for this little surprise. But, yeah I’m on the same camp as everyone else. Design looks far better than before; in fact this design of Sonic wearing those clothes is kinda charming compared to the original design where it would’ve seemed forced. Like asking Quasimodo to wear a Hawaiian beach shirt, it just doesn’t work.
While the story looks to be the same, the trailer was edited way better this time around to make it seem more entertaining . Better choice of music, better choice of clips, some of the jokes actually got a chuckle from me. (Sonic’s energy is actually a little contagious) I will admit that this has made me more curious to check the film out.
But, I’m still going in with my expectations super low. Is it going to be a good family movie? Probably, it seems to tick off all of the corporate tropes for one. But, will it be a good Sonic movie? Hell no, I’m going in thinking of this as some “else world” or “what if?” story of sorts.
It looks like the kiddies will get the most from this for sure.

I am a lifelong Sonic fan and have discovered your channel back when the talk about the movie first started. I watched you react to the posters and the first trailer. I shared every bit of anger, disappointment and disgust you felt against the first design, and now I share every bit of excitement you have for this new look and trailer overall. Keep the hype up!

I guess at the beginning of the movie they are trying to prevent Sonic from running because it causes electrical anomalies that gets Dr Robotnik's attention ... so the best way is to run away and hide in a normal slow car haha. Awesome reaction dude!
Also now I'm profusely envious at James Marsden( in a funny comedic way though) he was in a movie before involving an iconic character that moves around very fast and flies very fast too in Superman Returns back in 2006.
Now fast forward 14 years later in 2020 he's in another sci-fi movie involving another iconic character that moves around ultra fast how dare he.
Next up you'll never know he'll probably be in a live action Flash Movie
