I extremely disagree, here's why: 1. Robotnik is seen as a smart one in the movie, encouraging bad behaviour by using a smart character, is not good! 2. Lots of random stuff is unneeded filler.
What's funny about the crowdfunding scene is that, in the novelization (that's based off an earlier script draft), Robotnik just hacks into some billionare bank accounts. Maybe they changed it in the novelization too after realizing "wait this is a LITTLE too much"
Yeah, Robotnik goes high on mushrooms??? Now THAT'S something we haven't seen before, then again, these are mushrooms from another planet, and not Earth
Frankly, I wish the scenes that gave Stone more screentime with Robotnik and the small segments with Wade had been kept in Both were really fun characters that went relatively underutilised in both movies (although , it seems that Stone will have a MUCH bigger role in the next movie , so it makes sense that they trimmed the fat here and saved it for later)
Idc what people say, the wedding scene was great and showed off Tails gadgets while also fulfilling the want of the human characters to do more than stand around. And plus it was funny. Why does nobody nag on the bar scene? Way less important to the overall film and could’ve been replaced by a casino or something
The scene with Wade finding robotniks hideout was in the novelization, and it states that robotnik (now powered with the emerald) was causing the interference when Wade was talking to Tom, which makes him go inside the Cafe. Kinda creepy!
I find it funny still but I can’t lie Eggman does abuse Stone a little too much at times and I can probably see them cutting that stuff out for that exact reason.
Hopefully there is a directors cut that will fit some of the scenes in and finish the CGI, much like The Rami Spider-Man 2 did with the extended fight scenes etc
They actually kinda kept the shroom scene in the Novelization. (Although it happened because he ate a weird glowing mushroom, not from drinking coffee) I read that first, so I wondered where Robotnik tripping on shrooms was in the movie, but now I know they cut it. Shame they cut it, but hey.
I think something important that these deleted scenes show us is that Paramount did actually consider and think about explaining some of the plot points that got somewhat rushed through but just couldn't fit the scenes into the final product. I am feeling more reassured about Movie 3 now that they've shown us that even if some nice details don't make it in, they very likely will make the movie with them in mind (and probably even make the scenes for them too, if this is any indication). It's a shame that these special features are only for the digital release though. I am somebody who much prefers owning physical releases and I really can't afford to buy both (I am hoping we do get a physical release).
I feel like they shouldn't have cut so much from the Wade stuff. Like it's pretty jarring that they're just suddenly in his house. They could have also used that time to explain how the hell Longclaw appeared from the map after Sonic having it so long.
I hope there's a Director's cut that includes this scenes for this and the first movie with the finished designs, like that scene were Sonic and Tom talk about Longclaw.
THIS. This EXACTLY is what I want from a Crash Bandicoot live-action movie, just go full Mighty Boosh but child-appropriate. Arguably. Can anyone make it happen? Can somebody pull some strings? Bandicoots should also be played by those cosplayers that look better than most movie characters, and just be humans with very well applied face paint. Crash could even be silent protagonist and it would be mostly about the doctors parodying how jim Carrey carried the first movie. I'm not starving for it, I'd just love the option. Between a hundred MCU cgi fests with no self awareness I'm not bored of the meta trend at ALL, they're my lifeline between Rescue Rangers and Spongebob. And woody woodpecker and Peter Rabbit I guess.

What I did: I took all the deleted scenes, and placed them in the movie, and saw how it looked like. I don't know why they didn't include some scenes in the movie cause some scenes are included in the official movie novel.
23:45 so right here it looked like in the actual movie they played this scene in reverse when Tom says “you believe us now” and then it cuts to Wade finding out about Stone in the Mean Bean in Green Hills
I'm kind of baffled that the last Deleted scene isn't already in the movie. Because there's a split second when Tom has the radio in his hand while talking to the general about Robotnik. And that scene makes sense because the General is listening in what Wade and Tom are saying thru the radio/ walkie-talkie.
While I do think the idea of Eggman doing a beacon because he was high would be overshadowing his intelligence, they honestly could have kept the tripping on mushrooms joke in since it would have flown over kids heads and when they watch the movie when they’re older they’d get it. Like Spongebob had its fair amount of on the nose jokes that kids couldn’t get but adults would have a laugh at

It's interesting to see the deleted scenes, but here's the ones I am glad they left out: *-Eggman's Hallucination:* They obviously needed to cut this out so they wouldn't seem like they are advertising anything wrong, plus when I first saw this scene I thought it felt super out of place. Even though it cuts right to him climbing up the tower and igniting the portal, I don't think they needed to come up with how he got the idea for a beacon. It was funny seeing the agent stone talking but I think the scene they kept with the other takes was just as funny and was better at not slowing things down a minute into the movie. *Knuckles Planning Extended Scene:* I do think it is cool that they were trying to push in Knuckles, thinking he's with the good guys, looking down on Sonic "lying", but I think that the joke they had there at the end with Eggman lying to agent stone went on for too long. I can see why people would like this scene, though, since it shows Robotnik's intentions with Knuckles. If they did cut the weeding to be a little bit shorter I would think that it would put it in the deleted scenes.
I'm not sure what could have been cut though. The rescue was integral to the plot, and the final Rachel and Randall scene was an important resolution.
All though I will say that scene did make me like Rachel more as a character.

The wedding scene is the kind of thing that belongs in a deleted scene. Something this being relevant to Sonic thus becomes relevant to the story
