Thank you so much for the tips! Possibly a dumb question - do you rinse your needle with water between each change of tone? If so, does the water that's now in the needle affect the next tone, and if not, does the previous tone affect the new tone you dip since they now mix together in the needle?
Use. A dry sponge to dab dry your needles between cleaning with water
@@BruCeNoIan thank you!!
You can use a paper towel to wipe your needles, but don't go against the tip of the needle when wiping
So no need to mix, good I don't have to invest in the stir stick machine.

Nice video people usually just show the grey wash not the actual shading ,thank!
Awesome!
Sir. Question…..what do u think of adding 6 drops of white to each of your black cups? Saw a video of it and just wondering
I’ve done it a few times not a huge fan of it
@@Tattooing101 thank u sir. New fan and much respect from so cal
Please respond!! I have over a year of experience tattooing but I'm self taught and tattoo in Germany! I mix my own with distilled water! And I was tattooing my own leg and once to came to the shading(it was 3drops ink) it was pretty unbearably painful, and someone has told me before that my shading on them was the most painful they've experienced. And the thing in common with my tat I did on myself was the brand of needle I used, and the amount of ink mixed. My needles are professional but I'm wondering if it's the needle brand or is the mixture supposed to be painful? I went from a 5mg to shading with just my 5rl and it was night and day difference for pain level
What machine and speed were you using ?
I'm I'm having trouble with gray how do I get the gray to stick
Hello, Brandon. Thanks for the video. Do you think you guys could make a video of portraits, details like fur, etc? And maybe about how to prepare stencils for realistic portraits. Thank you :)
Will definitely be doing a video on that in the future!

Great video tutorial 👍 👏👏
Thank you 👍
What a talented artist you are ! Wish you could do some inks on me...😥
Greetings from Algeria ✌🇩🇿💖
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the vids man keep up the great work.
Do you start with black first on the skin?? Thank you. Great video
Start with the lining. But go from lights to darkest. Because doing I'm the dynamic black first will add ink into your lighter colors.
Is this a good setup for japanese tattoos
Thoughts on opaque grey wash? I've been testing it out and really like it.
I’ve used it a few times but it does fade
Your videos are very useful, could you tell me which ink cup you used for the gray wash?
I was curious of the same thing @tattooing101 do you use small medium or large ink caps? I cant tell. They look medium but i could be wrong
Thank you so much
wait.. what? this is way to little drops no? Should be like 100% - 80% - 50 % - 20% - 2-3drop
How are you supposed to get an exact percentage unless you use something to measure like a dropper or something. That whole 100 80 50 sounds like an estimate
Or unless you get cups that mark how liquid it holds
Great content Mr. Over 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Do you ever use a drop of white in ur gray wash
I try to stay away from it. It’s not true gray wash
Awesome content
No need to mix water and ink with mixer?
