- In this video i do a restoration of a shotgun, this model is franchi pa8, during this gun restoration i us a lot of restoration techniques, at the end of this shotgun restoration the gun look like restored and functional, ready to start work like a normal shotgun.
The restoration processe start from disassembly the gun (the shotgun), and after i put the shotgun in my classic liquid for remove rust and start the restoration.
For the second step i produce the pump of shotgun with pla before with a 3d machine, and after in termoformed tek.
The third process of restoration is to sanblasting the gun with alluminium oxide at 100 grit, and do a complete gun cerakote process.
After that the shotgun look like brand new, but the restoration process is not endend, because this gun need a lot of other process for have a good restoration.

I normally get freaked out by ASMR stuff, but this must be the equivalent for construction/ restoration.
It's really satisfying to watch and hear :D
This is great for learning methods of cleaning and gun cleaning , builds , and etc
I was about to say, "isn't this the shotgun from Jurassic Park 1?", until I saw the uploader's comment, "clever girl". When I was 5 I thought the fold out stock on the top of the gun was so cool. It was seared into my brain apparently.
spas-12 is the shotgun from Jurassic Park. The one featured in the video just has a stock like it. Pretty cool though

First time I've ever seen a firearm restoration involve a 3D printer. I know that FOSSCAD for firearms itself is controversial due to some bad actors, but as a method of restoration and preservation of older firearms, I think it's quite beautiful that we can share and immediately construct parts that would have otherwise relied on 2D blueprints and expensive injection molds. Here's to hoping that the technology may find itself in other preservationists' toolsets for years to come!
I don't think he ended up using the 3D printed part.
You can see a seam line typical for injection molds on the new forearm (10:43).
Impressive restauration still.
honestly 3d printing parts is the way to go for stuff you can't easily or cheaply get. you can literally do anything that is injection molded. mostly though I see rail accessories. think boot leg Magpul stuff etc.

Finally an actual restoration on an actual gun. I keep seeing all these other restorations of cheap Chinese airsoft guns that make no sense.

Everyone always drools over the SPAS-12, but I always liked its much simpler's brothers look, the PA8. Cool to see a neglected one get some love.

Loved that ending! Also, you inspired me to start restoring guns as well. I was given and old blackpowder revolver that. I tried to build as a teen. It was a mess and did not fire. Well, I fixed it and am in the process of refinishing it. Thanks!

How you make items from scratch that are an exact fit and look factory is truly a talent that must a lot of time to figure out. It’s pretty neat to watch.
