Usually if a solo ends with a long note, in the studio they play it with two different guitar tracks, but when played live the last note is ditched - dimebag both plays the last note and then goes back to the riff in perfect timing. I have never seen anyone do that and it proves he was indeed the best

@@stevend8558 His guitar tech certainly did a lot of work and switching (Dimebag didn't want to be pressing pedals on stage), and in this solo there's a fair amount of reverb/delay to cover the transition, but the original comment still stands and I've remarked that as well from many of his live performances. Just incredible the switching and timing. Just wow.

Theres just something about this band that inspires me and gives me strength when I'm having a bad day. The anger fuels me to say fuck you to whatever is bothering me and overcome it. I think this is how a lot of the fans feel. Thank you Pantera I feel like I found THE band that will continue to influence me for more years to come. Like every time I come back I feel better and tell myself to snap out of it and go do something about it. Im part of that generation that never got to see them live. I was too young. Im 22 right now. Phil is twice my age. I want a new band to rise up and be like them but in their own way. I feel like the world needs a new band to take it by the horns and say I AM THE NEW INFLUENCE I WILL INSPIRE PEOPLE IN A POSITIVE WAY. Who know maybe Ill be in that band. I play guitar and wish I could sing. Maybe Ill practice until Im good and go and dominate the world. Someone has to do it. Slipknot felt like that band to me but then started ti change a bit even though thats fine. But Pantera just got heavier and heavier and showed more and more strength. Maybe it was all because of Phil's hard head that it took him overdosing to finally calm him down and then eventually Dime's death to put an absolute end to the influence that is Pantera. Im just really impressed by this band. They were so good. Glad Phil is doing good now. Legend.

On the studio version, the last note of the solo rings out while the chorus riff comes in. Not only did Dimebag nail that solo, but he went into the chorus halfway through the riff without a mistake. I had to go back and listen to that shit again. The nutcase who shot him got off too easy.

Jacob Pollock I saw Pantera 3 times back in the 1990's, all three times in Philadelphia (and technically Camden). The most memorable show was at what was then called The Blockbuster/Sony Music Entertainment Center, now called The Susquennah Bank Center, in Camden, NJ. The place is half indoors/half outdoors. It was during the summer, 1999 I believe. It was a very hot, dry day from what I can remember. I was seated on the inside, center, about 30 rows back from the stage. I remember looking back to the outside section and seeing the biggest mosh pit I have ever seen. The mosh pit kicked up a huge cloud of dirt that fogged up the entire place. It was amazing. I loved their on-stage presence too. Their amplifier speaker stacks looked like two huge skyscrapers soaring high and mighty. Those were the days. You were born the year I graduated from high school, lol.

***** Yeah i saw Pantera 5 times in the 1990's, but this version of Pantera in the late 90's was great but the best version of Pantera was from 1990-1994 when they so dam brutal and the crowds were insane.Phil use to jump around on stage yelling at the crowd, this was before he started his drug abuse in 1995.I'm lucky, i'm a old fucker, actually the same age as Phil so i saw Pantera from start to end and they were the best live band i have ever seen and one of the greatest band's in the history of music.
