- The 2025 KTM 450 SX-F has some chassis updates that help improve comfort, but we didn’t want to stop there. We still needed more comfort as well as some added power that retained the linear feel of the stock engine but added more torque for exiting corners. Building the ultimate vet bike may mean a lot of bling to some, but in my eyes it’s a bike that may look stock but underneath that stock looking exterior, the interior is a weapon that makes it easier for us older guys to ride harder more safely. This Garage Build goes out to you KTM owners that want a bike that is clean looking, yet is a weapon on the track.

Ran 996/827s on my yamaha and loved them. When I got my ktm they felt really wide. Went to a 839 which according to renthal is the same as the 827 just 10mm less wide and loved it. Rode my Yamaha couple weeks ago when the ktm was down and when got back immediately cut the 827s down a bit. Significantly better.
Do this build to a 25 350sxf
same
Isn’t chase running kyb still a unconfirmed rumour, surely wp / ktm no matter how better or worse it may be wouldn’t do that, ESPECIALLY still running the WP tubes and logos, still can’t believe that’s true
No it’s 100% confirmed. You can see the fork lugs.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to turn a Yamaha into a Ktm , than a Ktm into a Yamaha .
my 2 cents is: KTMs better brakes, better clutch, easier to ride engine and turns just slightly more predictable than a Yammy...takes the win over Yammys better out the box suspension and easier tuning app. But would be good to get some pros opinions KTM won MXA 25 450 shootout, think Husky won some other 450 shootout I am sure a Yammy will win some shootouts this year. All the bikes seem pretty close bar suzuki.
Is REP with AEO still? Or did they split?
@@MXJEFF94 split
Did the clutch cover really wear off that fast?
@@alexxela21846 it does yes
And this is why you buy the xcf
not everyone wants to ride enduro
@@jwvdberg122swap the rear wheel to a 19 and swap the tank. Cheaper than swapping forks, now you can go enduro as well 🎉
Right?!? KTM needs to step up and give the SXF models the spring fork. Off road guys get them. And sweet Jesus they gave us a tool less adjuster on the shock and the side plate covers it. 🙄
Oh and give us the regular radiator cap back!!!! That stupid little plastic one is a bitch to get off
@@jwvdberg122sxf & xcf are the same apart from a 18in wheel, fuel tank and a 6 speed gear box. Awesome for desert or GPs
I ordered this magazine a couple months ago and I still have 0 underwear 👎
An additional 3 grand in a bike that already cost 11,000. I’ll just buy a Suzuki RMZ 450 put 4 grand into it and I’ll be good. And it still be cheaper. Than that KTM (KEEP TAKING MONEY) machine
