    Wow thanks for this. I wish there was more content like this but it's a bit more work so, well done! I use TH-cam mostly for research so this is exactly the sort of stuff my semi-geek self needs.

    Great video really appreciated the comparison. Would love to know where does Altra's Ego and Ego Max (Escalante, Torin 5, 6, Paradigm 6) fit in the matrix

    • @Ali-7676
      @Ali-7676 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Altra Ego is eTPU like Boost. Ego Max on the other hand I have no clue about. I've tried it on I the Paradigms but I like regular Ego better in terms of cushion so I'm stuck with the Escalantes for now. I use thye to run in as I'm forefoot striking but wanted something with a bigger cushion in the heel for when I'm walking and heel striking as walking in the Escalantes leads to a sore heel distinct from plantar fasciitis.

    Great video and methodological comparison.
    One thing to be pointed out- Most of the commonly used “plastics and polymer” are originated from crude oil. YES, they fall under the “Organic Chemistry” part in chemistry books. But these are also “NON-Biodegradable”. People might find it confusing as anything labelled as “Organic” gives a green sign that it is environment friendly. Plastics are not. And all these cushions are not necessarily “organic”.

    Nice vid! I know the graph was probably difficult to make lol. As the Nike Invincibles get older and people log more miles in them Zoom X has proved to be very durable. Can't speak for that in the AlphaFly or VaporFly though. People are consistently getting over 500 miles in them (Invincibles).

    • @RUNFAQ
      @RUNFAQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can you do 1000mile in them? Yes. Will they be bouncy as new after 150 mile? No. This is what we call durability.

    EVA not the best midsole componant for various reasons. It does not respond to tempeture changes well it loses it's structure easily compared to other compounds. Shoe companies also shy away from saying their shoe is EVA based. When it comes to energy return, resilience and longevity PEBA based foams taking the crown IE: World record breaking ZoomX shoes.

    i didn't see zoom air technology ? where did it go on the graphic compared to zoomX ?

    • @RUNFAQ
      @RUNFAQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not foam technology, that is why it is not there. You could compare it with middle level bouncy, firm foams.

    • @kevinburola889
      @kevinburola889 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RUNFAQ From my understanding Air pod technologies have the highest energy return than any foam.

    In this video you have shown that adidas boost is softer than nike react but from experience I can say nike wildhorse 8 is much softer than adidas ultraboost 2022. Is it due to shoe design?
