@@cheeseintensifies9984 I've been driving boats since I was 9, they're simpler than go-carts. A lever that simply makes the boat go forward or back wards and a steering wheel. You have side thrusters but they're only for parking. If you can find the lever and steering wheel (hoping it has fuel and electricity) you're golden.

They probably helped prevent infection since they eat rotting flesh
Yeah

I agree it is
yeah, even footballer can't stand ACL injury. xD
"Willpower" wasnt a contributer to her survival it was most likely her bone density and angle at which she fell and surfaces she impacted and multiple other much larger factors

she was very knowoledgeable about the situation she was in. she survived because of her wits and resourcefulness.
No she survived because she was lucky enough to be raised by parents who taught her what was what.
@@SylasTheGreat how does that negate what I said? Yes her parents could have easily taught her to be witty and resourceful. She's still amazing for retaining those lessons and applying them to real life.
@@powpowouchy5 Because if she didn't have those parents she would've died... Quite easy if you actually give it some thought

I read her autobiography: When I Fell From The Sky and she mentioned in there that when she was rescued, there were tons of articles of people saying that she heard people but left them on their own to die because she wanted to be alone. She said in the book that this is wrong and she never heard anyone. It hurts me to think that anyone will try to find a harsh drama out of such a person.
That’s horrible. She was a kid who went thru a traumatic ordeal... The media can be so gross
@@isas8627 Imagine thinking a teenager would prefer to be alone while stranded for days in the middle of a rainforest. What absolute idiots.
@@isas8627The main stream media is the enemy of the people.
Those infected holes make me shiver. They look so gross..poor Julianne
Yeah, it triggered my trypophobia big time 😣
They look disgusting but they probably saved her life, maggots are useful in treating deep wounds without increasing the risk of further infection because they only eat dead tissue.
I searched up a picture of wounds infested by fly eggs...not pretty
It’s so heartbreaking to know that her mother survived the crash but died of her injuries afterwards.
I don’t know why I feel that that’s sadder, maybe because she must have suffered but it’s beyond heartbreaking.
Nah

Yeah, I guess
Same went thru my mind ,that poor woman 😔💔

This real story is very famous in South America. This girl had a father who was a researcher in the Amazon rainforest and with that learned some techniques about survival in the forest. Mainly follow the flow of the river to try to find some civilization and make way for not stepping on poisonous animals and also sterilize their wounds because of the fungal and insect flow of the forest. It is a very amazing story.
Will Lima he was a zoologist. Her & her family lived in a rainforest most of her life. Not the Amazon, but one similar.
How do you sterilize your wounds?

That airline's poor reputation is already a great warning that one must not miss.
@@Josep_Hernandez_Lujan I'm guessing they were sued for this.
Though that airline didn't have a solid reputation, it wasn't their fault that its plane was hit.
@@desertigloo2383 Yeah, but deciding to travel the in midst of a thunderstorm will reflect on the reputation of any airlines.
The thing is, they already knew that a storm was coming and the (airlines) could have prevented all of the passengers from dying.
Poor decision makes poor reputation and by doing poor decisions ended up losing lives in the process.

Such a strong and resourceful young woman.
German woman born in 1954 super strong and intelligent... thank you USA you saved us from those traits and gave us vloggers with cellphones crumbling apart out of bad internet reception ... Thank You!
How horrible, but given that she was surrounded by a wreck full of luggage and gifts, my first reaction would have been to look supplies among wreckage before leaving. What a noble, young woman.
Btw, can someone medically explain how did she survive with all those injuries&infections.....especially a broken collarbone...??
It's called toughening up.
All the injuries she had didn't impede her ability to move on.
Have you guys watched the NFL? After a player tears their ACL they cant even walk anymore, they have to get carted off the field. Same with a broken collarbone. Toughening up is one thing but this is on a whole other level. So much so It's hard to believe that those were even the actual injuries.
Ethan Crawford
Survival mode and search-for-mother mode bring out the superhuman in most people. Her age and health beforehand probably helped too.
I don't know about her broken collarbone, it's probably just her sheer will power that saved her and also the brains survival mode. But she probably survived the infections from her hand injuries because of the maggots eating away her dead tissue therefore helping stop further infection. Those disgusting creatures can be your best buddy in these situations.
It's people like this that help me keep hope in society

I use to read the book when I was 7 with my grandma and was amazed of what she went though and survived
The girl should have went in the plane to check for some food, snack or first aid kit
Jessica Chin-Shong she should have went to the plane itself to check for the first aid kit that is mostly always available in any plane. I think the snack was out of the plane and thats why she took it. I don’t think she went inside the plane
the plane maybe was on fire ?
avadoubleabattery 5:17 she came back and saw vultures who came to eat the dead bodies which means that there is no fire because animals will not approach dangerous fire. She could have got anything from the second time she came to the plane.
@@AA-wm2ty I know this is late but let's be honest... She probably did check the plane. The infographic show can't cover every small detail. So much more happened to her than what is covered
@@AA-wm2ty she could also try to take out cloths from the courpse, but remember that she was very very much weak, hallucinating, scared, horrifed by the sight of dead bodies, she took all of her brainpower and will to continue moving forward, checking the entire plane going threw the debris and alike would not be easy, that part of the plane everyone died on so its probably the one that took alot of damage
