- How to remove a front bumper on a 2013+ Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS/Toyota 86.
Overall the process is super simple and requires very minimal tools.
Don't be intimidated by it, it goes on just as easy as it comes off.

Straight forward and to the point. Good stuff bro
Thanks man, I appreciate that
Ordering the 86 bumper for a face-lift and this helped alot, very straightforward
Awesome man glad you found it helpful!
Hey, tryna replace mine. May i ask where you found yours, and if it was oem?
@Miss Ali I ended up totaling my car before I got around to it lol. But you should be able to get everything right through toyota!
@Miss Ali I also recommend joining some of the groups on Facebook, always part outs or spare bumpers etc in the groups
@@jakenixon5020 lolol nooooo! Rip.
Okay Ty very much, I have found a replacement ❤️🫶🏼
This has to be the best instructional video ever
Adding this to my Cars playlist! I got the dang bumper sag on my 2013 BRZ. It's a brand new bumper!
watching this after a raccoon ate half my bumper on the highway
lmao best comment ever XD - sorry to hear about your bumper tho
@@touchofturbo it’s okay gt86 bumper conversion otw
Are you me? Some sticker shock at how much the plastic pieces that broke cost on top of the bumper and paint...
Is it true that after you remove the bumper for the very first time, the bumper fitment won’t be flush anymore instead there will be a visible gap?
I don't think the first time it will do that, but after a few times it will. Mine sits flush but eventually pops out a bit. The bracket plastic pieces just wear out quickly
@@touchofturbo is there a way to replace the plastic clips that wear out quickly
@@mrelemantal4743 You can replace the part that's bolted on the car. That's the part that likes to wear out quickly on everyone's. However a new one will wear out just as fast
@@touchofturbo that's fine as long as it clears that dreaded fender gap
If you put a clip where he says some might have a screw some might not it will stay flush way better then no clip
Thank you! I was on 95 south today and accidentally hit the expressway orange cones resulting in damaged right corner front bumper and front fender liner . Could you please do a vdo on replacing front passenger fender liner vdo ? Thank you.
Changing mine today
Question about your Vlands/OLM headlights;
Did you use a ballast for the bulbs? I have a 17 86 and I’ve read mixed information on installs for the 13-16 and 17+ models
Nope the LED headlights I ordered did not need the ballast. Was ultimately plug and play however was a pain to get them in just right
thanks, I hope it's as easy as you say.
Thank you sir that was tight
Nice one buddy 👍
Thanks man 👍
Great video
Appreciate it
Great video! Thanks
I appreciate that thank you 🙏🙏
Anyone know the size/thread of the screw that holds the bumper under side marker? Mine is missing and my bumper has a gap at the top.
What intake is that?
It's a Spectre
What year is your brz? I like that type of front bumper
It's a 2017
Is it possible to remove the Styrofoam bumper?
Yes the Styrofoam part just comes right off
Is that black bar (that's holding the license plate bracket) attached to the rest of the grill or can I remove it for an 86 look?
I wish you showed us how to put it back on without getting the fender gap that's my biggest concern about taking mine off
It goes on the same it comes off, the only thing you're gonna want to really pay attention to is how the bumper tabs slide under the headlights. They like to slide above their designated slots making it not look right or create gaps. Just double check both sides before you fully put both sides together
