My daughter's account is Alpha only - mainly because she only plays a few times per month - if that. I planned her SP use around the smaller Gallante ships, so she has max Alpha core skills, and max skills for nearly everything associated with Frigates, Destroyers and Cruisers for them, all for around 6.5 million SP. The only skills mostly neglected have been the Social and Trading skills, as she isnt interested in the deeper aspects of the game (she is only 9). If is actual;ly more fun flying her Alpha ships than my Omega ships - as they cost less and you are more prepared to risk losing them. Having said that, her flagship Vexor is a mix of T2 & Deadspace stuff, so is worth 368million ISK.
Awesome! Great example of the Alpha playstyle! This skill mix is exactly what I recommend in my newer video about minmaxing alpha SP! Pick a lane and stick to it so you can have a deep competence in it (and don’t try to grow beyond cruisers). th-cam.com/video/bjMY0KZcrzA/w-d-xo.html And you can even play together right? @@EVEJer Yes, I fleet with her whenever she wants to play, we go run escalations mostly, although I am finding very, VERY few right now - only 3 all month - all in the same 24 hours. Ha awesome that she’s got her own preferred playstyle! She must like blasters too right? I think I’m with her. Railgun vexor may be the sensible choice, but jumping in there is more fun 🙈
@@EVEJer Her Incursus ships are blaster fit, although the Vexor uses T2 200mm Rails, as I run sites for her to get the loot and bounties for her account. T2 blaster skill is queued next, at which point I will try a 2nd Vexor with a blaster fit to try out for her. Most of the Deadspace stuff on her ship fits are from Escalations, the Serpentis Narcotic Warehouse regularly drops the Coreli multi-spectrum hardeners etc. One cheap T1 module I would recommend for ANY armour tank pilot, is the reactive armour, this can give up to an insane 60% resist against the primary damage type; on her flagship, that can mean a total of over 80% resist on the highest incoming damage type, and even the base 15% is better than the non Deadspace multi-spectrum hardeners.
Come out to the Null Sec Campus with some of us fellow Unistas! In a quiet pocket, lots of ways to have fun. Whether you do PVP, mining, industry, ratting, or mission running, we have it all out there.
Im mining and ratting. Some corps mates occasionaly get me gas or moon mining, bjt its mostly rare asteroids. Ratting gets me loot and salvage, and i convert the salvage to rigs, and i sell stuff in the markets. Its way different to put in market sell orders, and not just move loot for quick sale. I also make simple stuff to sell, to widen my merchandise offers. I mostly use threshers and ventures. To move stuff around i use magnates.
Yeah isn’t it awesome! I go over it in my ALPHA UPRISING video I made for the new update: EVE Uprising for Alphas: How to use your free week of Omega! th-cam.com/video/eo553uCaUEs/w-d-xo.html The only reason I haven’t done it yet for myself is I’m waiting to hit 5m SP on the accounts first 😂
@@EVEJer Since this Alpha was already over the 5 mill max, the main use of the 7 Days Omega was to get all the Extra event gifts and bonus SP. I think, between the event SP and the 7 days of Omega double speed, free SP, it came to over 500,000 SP.
Ok! What would you want to see? I have some ideas like “best ships alphas can fly” and “what alphas can and can’t do”. Would those sound good, or are you imagining something else?

Good one...I have second alt that is 50/50 alpha/omega...keeping track of what skills are which is PITA I wish I had done what you did before I got some omega time.
Hey there I’m exactly the same #alpha4life I’ve managed to get my alpha up to nearly 15 million sp by doing the daily injectors and the points you get from skilling sprees etc , I mainly spend my time in game ratting in lowsec and colllecting and selling clone soldier tags/ratting loot/Mordu bpc’s and occasionally I will needlejack into nullsec in my vexor to rat there which I’m getting a bit bored with and actually find I can earn more isk in lowsec , also get the occasional bit of pvp too , so on balance there’s nothing that i want to do in eve that I can’t do fine without needing omega
Awesome to hear it! Yeah I do nullsec ratting (as you can see in my other video) which is relatively easy because my corp (EVE University) has a pretty safe pocket with some great systems for farming battleships. Please give me any tips you have about finding clone soldier tags! I spent hours and hours in 0.1 systems in my Catalyst and never found a single clone soldier (I posted two videos of this). In the end I was only netting like 1-2m in bounties per tick, and hardly anything in my cargohold to enhance that. In comparison, my NS ratting nets me 4-6M/tick in bounties and my cargo is jam-packed with juicy stuff, pretty much doubling the bounties. I know that one 0.1 clone soldier tag could have tipped the balance for a two hour period, but I just never see them! Maybe I just had bad luck, but like I said, any tips welcome, I'd love to make another video where I actually find one! (Dad Dex has lots of videos where he finds them, so I know it's possible)
And of course it's great to hear from another Alpha4Lifer! Yeah there's so much content out there for Alphas, especially if you play the game a reasonable amount and have a healthy lifestyle outside EVE. I do miss cloaking in particular, wish there was a way to buy JUST cloaking lol, and the fact that it makes scanning slower makes exploration even more boring... But either way, there's lots and lots to do as an Alpha. Are you in a Corp at all, do you play with other players? I find one of the hardest parts is how other people treat me, like they're annoyed at having to help me with fits and make a place for me in impromptu fleets, and they expect me to upgrade eventually. That said EVE University has lots of fleets designed to welcome newbros, so there's group content available for sure.
Hey sorry fir the late reply , my advice would be find a nice pocket with a few lowsec systems in and farm them (kill every rat in system and grab the loot)keep cycling back every 20 mins and the rats will respawn and the loot and rats improve over time...eventually you'll find clone soldiers and mordu rats ...flybrave
Yeah, that's the game that will give you a reason to earn ISK. At the same time, I still think Alpha Injectors can be valid if you have some money to spend and want to feel a little progress. Personally I don't mind paying for EVE, in fact I kind of want to, so that it keeps existing, I just don't want to pay for Omega. Right now Alpha Injectors are actually on sale for half price! 8$ for 1M SP seems like a pretty good deal to me! Worst part is how it messes with the perceived value of earning 50m to buy one on the market. That's the weirdest part of EVE, any time you spend real time to earn ISK, it's depressing to think about how little money it would have cost to buy some PLEX and convert it to the same isk 🙈
Ha ha yeah. Sorry about the audio quality. I really don't want a bulky mic on my desk, but I might have to bite the bullet if these videos keep getting lots of views 😅
Yeah I’ve done this! I forgot to talk about the Portal app, but it can be very useful. It’s also REALLY BUGGY!!! I’m kind of nervous to promote it considering all the bugs I’ve encountered. It feels like they barely update it, especially with regard to Alpha stuff.
That said, I just looked and the prices are actually a tiny bit cheaper in Amarr and only a bit more expensive in Dodixie, so even without the app, making a trip once in a while isn’t the end of the world, especially since once you buy them you can leave them where they are and trigger them remotely. evetycoon.com/market/46375 The first time I bought some I freaked out because I had to haul them to move and they effectively made me a ganking target. Big relief to learn there’s never a need to haul! Maybe I’ll make a daily injector video at some point to go over everything!
Yeah, for sure. Once you hit 5M total SP (Including "Unallocated SP", which I got WRONG in the video, I thought they didn't count towards the 5M limit) the queue stops training, but you can still get and use Unallocated SP at that point. So Alpha Skill Injectors can be used to inject 50k SP at a time and then you can fill up all the Alpha skills you don't have yet. You can also use other skill injectors, but they are a horrible value compared to the Alpha Skill Injectors, whether you buy them with money or with ISK/Plex.
I am an old player and want to get back into planning. I have 2 accounts that I used to mine and run missions but now I see if I want to use certain ships I have to upgrade to omega. 20mil sp is cap I see some players saying and a battleship they use? Is this true?
Yeah as an Alpha you can competently use a battleship which should be functional to run L4 missions, as I understand it, though you will have to go very slowly if you are alone, I think.
@@EVEJer yes just looked up the comparison alpha and omega. I would usually run both accounts when doing missions and mining but I see you can’t as alpha.
It’s enough to learn all alpha skills. There’s no SP “limit on alpha account” because the limit is which skills are active when you’re not Omega. 21M is enough to unlock every skill you can actually use. If you get more skills they will only be useful when you are Omega.
@@EVEJer one more thing, even if you saved all 6 million points, it still costs you 15B in injectors, and that's at least 6 months of omega without any promo, so the question is whether it's better to learn skills from alpha on omega, since it takes 2x faster to learn.
When I did the math, it was slightly cheaper to buy alpha injectors than to buy omega, but I might have been wrong. They are very cheap when they are on sale. Ultimately you shouldn’t aim to get all points with money, since you don’t need to fly every single ship.
Best way to get rich in EVE will always be to buy PLEX and convert to ISK. But I came to play a game not buy space wealth 😅 How did you get that calculation? Based on the price of buying PLEX?
@@EVEJer oh I wasn't suggesting you should. I was just mentioning it. You could equate you isk to dollars that way too. You have 2 billion isk that's like $20
The most profitable I've found so far on a reliable basis is Nullsec ratting. My corp has a NS zone, and as long as there are no neutral in system, I can fight battleships in my vexor pretty much non-stop in the asteroid belts. Gets me about 5M ISK per tick, and another 4M loot to sell to buyback program. In general, I'd say that running missions is profitable as long as you make it up to Level 3. It's sad Alpha's can't do L4's since of course they are the most profitable, but I think running L3's quickly would also be good money, the hard part is grinding up the standings! Aside from all that, I know you can make good money doing explo as an alpha if that's what you like. You might die a bit more often because you can't use a cloak, but if you're smart, you can still make a killing.
low sec gas huffing is really good isk for an alpha account, you just have to be aware in risky situations. I made an easy billion isk in a week huffing an alpha venture. cheers.
Yeah that’s a good point. For me the mix of danger and boredom involved in huffing feels a bit off, but it’s certainly good money once you make it home! We’re you huffing solo or with a group? It strikes me as a good group activity, since you can all scan different systems to increase your chances, then share a cloud once it’s found.
Dont stay alfa , my point ofc. If you wanna see different and new content get omega whit isk :) How ? easy , get a fleet even with alfa accounts you can make alot of isk just casual play ...filament your fleet in null and just clear the combat saits or just go to WH's whit fleet is so easy :) triglavian hunting , DeD's ,abbysal space duo or trio ... ofc there is a risk , but eve online is mean to be played :) no risk ,no reward......no fun ! Thanks for all this videos :) they bringing me back in a day where i was solo......:) long jorney ...but its worth its time :)

You can go into all of that trouble, or... you can skip one coffee a week for a month and use that money to avoid all of that grind and just enjoy the game instead. Turning EVE into a second job is a recipe for a quick burnout.
I mean, I'm definitely not promoting trying to plex your account in this. The point is to be satisfied with Alpha clone state, and if you want a goal, to buy Alpha Skill Injectors with the ISK you earn.
@@EVEJer Then I might've misunderstood you, for which I apologize. I thought that you advocated for more of those poor souls (don't mean their income here) which are forced to obsess over "isk/hour" and count each penny instead of simply enjoying the game as it's meant to be played for trivial (for most) amount of money. It just pains me that many of those people have no problem buying a coffee at Starbucks for $4-5 every day, yet they deem paying $15-20 a month for their enjoyment of the game some kind of ripoff. It's OK so stay alpha if you enjoy that kind of challenge, but bringing a money argument into this discussion makes no sense to me.
@@EVEJer Oh, and just in case - thanks for your videos - they are entertaining, even if sometimes I find myself yelling at the screen or facepalming for one reason or another :P
Haha I’m providing content for you I guess! And yeah, in this video I’m arguing in favor of alpha, but I barely argue AGAINST plexing. I could make a whole other video against plexing and I probably should eventually. I think it’s the darkest form of EVE, especially for new players. It should be a fun bonus for experienced players to save money some months, not a starter goal!
I used to make this wager myself, except in my case it was beer at the end of the week. But then CCP would introduce something awful or make a bed-soiling change (like removing null sec belts) and I would wonder how tf I can be sending them money after that. And I would then take the classic "Eve break". But with Alpha, I can stay in the game and not feel bad about throwing money at dev fails.
Fair question, but really I’m nowhere close. In the last month of playing how I want I’ve earned around 400 million total, with around 200 million of profit after expenses. Nowhere near enough to Plex, and I can’t put any more time into the game because of real life. For me making it work with the time I have is the priority. I don’t need more power, I just need to have fun :)

You can retro apply for the 1 mill SP now, I just got them for my oldest account - that I created 4-5 years ago.
Yeah isn’t it awesome! I go over it in my ALPHA UPRISING video I made for the new update:
EVE Uprising for Alphas: How to use your free week of Omega!
th-cam.com/video/eo553uCaUEs/w-d-xo.html
The only reason I haven’t done it yet for myself is I’m waiting to hit 5m SP on the accounts first 😂
@@EVEJer Since this Alpha was already over the 5 mill max, the main use of the 7 Days Omega was to get all the Extra event gifts and bonus SP.
I think, between the event SP and the 7 days of Omega double speed, free SP, it came to over 500,000 SP.
Please do more Alpha stuff 🙂
Ok! What would you want to see? I have some ideas like “best ships alphas can fly” and “what alphas can and can’t do”. Would those sound good, or are you imagining something else?
@@EVEJer Best ships sounds fun! Great vid btw
Welcome to Eve! :)
Haha thanks! I've been playing on and off since 2016, but mostly off. When did you start? What's your gameplay?
@@EVEJer i started back at release and than Started and Stopped on a regular basis (like 9 months of playing cut for 3 months) and back. I'm mostly living in Wormholes nowadays and doing some PVP with my Corp. Right now I'm on a break from Wormhole and only join up for Crabbing, HS is what I'm doing mostly right now.
I understand WTM has incursion setups for alpha's, so it seems one can do fairly advanced and lucrative battleship activities on alpha.
Good one...I have second alt that is 50/50 alpha/omega...keeping track of what skills are which is PITA I wish I had done what you did before I got some omega time.
Well you can always start a fresh Alpha to have in your pocket for when you don’t want to sub 🦾
Nice vid, thank you. One thing tho: Where can i get a Titan for 10billion?!? Me wants! Last time i checked they where 160 bil =D
P.s always buy skill injectors off the market not the eve store
Yeah, that's the game that will give you a reason to earn ISK. At the same time, I still think Alpha Injectors can be valid if you have some money to spend and want to feel a little progress. Personally I don't mind paying for EVE, in fact I kind of want to, so that it keeps existing, I just don't want to pay for Omega.
Right now Alpha Injectors are actually on sale for half price! 8$ for 1M SP seems like a pretty good deal to me!
Worst part is how it messes with the perceived value of earning 50m to buy one on the market. That's the weirdest part of EVE, any time you spend real time to earn ISK, it's depressing to think about how little money it would have cost to buy some PLEX and convert it to the same isk 🙈
love it m8! love the concept, looking forward to your content. if you buy anything from youtube money, dont buy omega, buy a microphone 😊
Ha ha yeah. Sorry about the audio quality. I really don't want a bulky mic on my desk, but I might have to bite the bullet if these videos keep getting lots of views 😅
hey i watched your whole video and i find your points well thought out and valid, why did you say the video was boring and your YT channel was stupid?
Just jokin’ around :)
Pro tip: daily Alpha injectors can be bought from the mobile app and be consumed anywhere from Jita
That said, I just looked and the prices are actually a tiny bit cheaper in Amarr and only a bit more expensive in Dodixie, so even without the app, making a trip once in a while isn’t the end of the world, especially since once you buy them you can leave them where they are and trigger them remotely.
evetycoon.com/market/46375
The first time I bought some I freaked out because I had to haul them to move and they effectively made me a ganking target. Big relief to learn there’s never a need to haul!
Maybe I’ll make a daily injector video at some point to go over everything!
You can go past the 5mil sp as an alpha by using unallocated skill points? lol..up to 21mil? Did I hear that correctly?
Yeah, for sure. Once you hit 5M total SP (Including "Unallocated SP", which I got WRONG in the video, I thought they didn't count towards the 5M limit) the queue stops training, but you can still get and use Unallocated SP at that point. So Alpha Skill Injectors can be used to inject 50k SP at a time and then you can fill up all the Alpha skills you don't have yet. You can also use other skill injectors, but they are a horrible value compared to the Alpha Skill Injectors, whether you buy them with money or with ISK/Plex.
I respect it id do the same if I lived in high sec.
@Mcappo Yeah for sure. You’ll need to be pretty efficient to get both accounts plexed to run them simultaneously.
so the 21 million skill point are enough to learn all alpha skills or this is the limit for an alpha account?
Eve uni is a nice place if not for the permanent war-decc on them 😭😭
I calculated yesterday, 1 plex = $0.05 = 5,000,000 ISK
Best way to get rich in EVE will always be to buy PLEX and convert to ISK. But I came to play a game not buy space wealth 😅
How did you get that calculation? Based on the price of buying PLEX?
@@EVEJer well plex IS $.05 each based on the store. And currently plex sells at market for 5mil is so yeah..
@@EVEJer oh I wasn't suggesting you should. I was just mentioning it. You could equate you isk to dollars that way too. You have 2 billion isk that's like $20
whats your main way of makeing money as alpha?
Alright thanks!
low sec gas huffing is really good isk for an alpha account, you just have to be aware in risky situations.
Either way, I should add huffing to my todo list for this channel. Here comes “Jer sucks at gas huffing”
I am alpha forever now because once they removed lvl 4s I can no longer afford to plex.
Just curious if your code will work in Asia?
Should work! As long as you’re on the international Tranquility server I see no reason it wouldn’t work. I have no idea if it would work on the China only server, but I’d imagine not.
@@EVEJer wow! instant reply bro. this will work on Steam account too right? XD

LOL yea...back when I was a paying Omega...I semi-afk'ed IceMined. I watched video's while mining hehehe.
why not just plex omega with isk.. you seem to be doing well
Fair question, but really I’m nowhere close.
With the ref link he is Omega 4ever.
He gets 2 weeks of omega for every sub he can generate. 15k views on this video will generate him a lot of subs ... a lot.
Haha thanks for pointing out it hit 15k 🎉
@@EVEJer GZ my man, gz
Wish that one can "split up" the generated omega to multiple accounts.
You have to change the ref link right now which is very .... meh.
Absolutely. Did you see my newer video about beating the game? My alpha is maxed and those old ref links are doing nothing 🤷🏻♀️
I cant hear you
