I remember reading a mindfulness book called 30 Days to Stop Overeating by Harper Daniels. It taught me mindfulness meditations...it wasn't so much about diet as it was being present and knowing the self more...and that helped me detach from bad foods.
Loved this one and learnt so many new things 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Enlightenment should be another name of this episode! Thank you for clarifying a lot of points about the food we eat. ❤️❤️
Thanks! This podcast helped me a lot in understanding about food ingredients in a scientific manner.
Get rid of that camera which shoots from the lower angle. It's looking almost idiotic
Yes!! Spare us the tragedy of seeing you from down up!!
Kid kasana
Excellent dost cast full of knowledge about foods wi eat 😊
Moreover, this is a podcast. You don't have scripted dialogues that you need to follow in a video. Short videos are scripted that's why it's crisp and clear. Podcasts are longer because they are not scripted as much. For all those people who are saying that the guy is taking too long to explain or beating around the bush, well sometimes the answer isn't that straightforward to convey and some people are just very talkative. I relate because that's how I speak too.
75% country is non veg, lekin har baar sabko vegetarians ko hi bash karna hai
Ye bilkul sahi baat kahi aapne
Correct. I think people should just promote non veg food rather than bashing vegetarians.
I like that we're getting scientific perspectives more and more in the limelight these days. And even better that we're getting it from Krish, who besides being very knowledgeable, is great with words.
this is the type of podcast needed , so informative literally ...gold standards knowledge in simple language
People don't understand the logic and history behind food practices, so they end up spouting rubbish in the comments section. Krish makes sense, his words have logic in them. What he says is widely acceptable by people because it makes sense. Many vegetables that we eat now aren't even indegeneous to India, and our diet largely depends upon the geography we live in. For all those people who worship Ayurveda, Ayurveda did not exist in other parts of the world, wonder how they lived?? Japan also has a lot of people who live healthy and long lives, they don't have Ayurveda. Why are you always centralized towards Ayurveda?? Questioning is good, if you don't question then you never know the answer.
For Japanese their genes are the boon.. also they eat local.. similarly Ayurveda is specific to India with its local food.. ( anything grown local) it proved beneficial for many else it would have vanished. Follow what works for you.. no one is forced to choose particular diet plan
What a classic case of ignorance! Do you even know what ayurveda means? People in Andhra use groundnut oil in their cooking? That’s where I caught his bloody bluffing. Reason is people are too lazy to do any research studies.
Informative...enlightening...superb
Krish is Amazing ❤❤❤
My origins are from South India (Karnataka) and cannot relate to many things that he says rather disagree with many things. We are not Brahmins and would do farming but until 1990 we had chicken only once a year as a part of religious activity, but this guy says south guys ate beef. Also, we reared lot of cows and had milk products unlike what he is says that this is mostly in North.
There is a huge difference in the scale. Did you completely overlook the fact where he said the huge difference in area of plains. We have absolutely nowhere near actual topographical grasslands in South. It's mostly just Western Ghats and then wetlands and swamps. The places like Nilgiri where you can see dairy farms now, where not originally pastures, they because so after the British cut down all the trees and shipped them to make gunpowder
Not surprising since Karnataka has the highest percentage of vegetarians in its population when compared to other South Indian or eastern states. We reared a lot of cows, but when compared to North it's very small in scale.
I like Krish and listened to him many times. Have read his book as well.
But his association with the LiverDoc is making me rethink everything i feel about him!!
Haha same every word. That LiverDoc guy doesn't seem right with me. So I'm also questioning in my mind Ashoks credibility by association.
LiverDoc gajab hai. Ye dopist gang hai. Inka dimaag Ulta chalta hai.

Amazing eye opening podcast... Well done
Can @dostcast (Vinamra ji) disclose his blood work before claiming he feels fine eating. Your guest brings to extreme logic behind things. Ayurveda has been practiced for millenia
You don't understand. These people are pharma mafias. If each person in this world live according to ayurveda...all the allopathy doctors will loose their jobs. These people will say don't eat turmeric ghee etc and are telling everyone to eat insects rather. I saw his podcast with that Sharmani whatever his name is. Krish Ashok is a piece of garbage

"Your Ayurvedic DETOX is TRASH | Dostcast w/ @krishashok (Masala Lab)"
**Introduction:**

**Key Concepts:**
1. **Historical Context of Food Practices:**
- The discussion starts with a historical perspective, highlighting how rules like not mixing milk and meat originated when refrigeration didn't exist, and milk was highly perishable.
- Ashok connects these rules to practical challenges of the time, emphasizing the importance of understanding historical context.
2. **Detox Myths:**
- The concept of detoxifying the body is debunked, with emphasis on the stress raw plant products can impose on the liver.
- Krish challenges the idea of certain juices detoxifying the body, labeling it as misleading and potentially harmful.
3. **Cooking Techniques and Temperature:**
- Cooking techniques are explored, particularly the use of mustard seeds to gauge oil temperature. This is presented as an example of traditional knowledge with a scientific basis.
- The conversation touches on the lack of temperature sensors in the past, leading to practical techniques for determining optimal cooking conditions.
4. **Evolution of Masala Lab:**
- Krish Ashok's journey into breaking down food in a scientific manner is discussed, revealing the genesis of Masala Lab and his decision to educate people on the intricacies of food.
5. **Food Myths and Influencers:**

- Krish shares insights into the misinformation surrounding superfoods and ingredients with dubious studies.
6. **Diversity in Diets:**
- The discussion touches on regional dietary variations in India, highlighting how diverse geographical conditions influence food choices.
- The impact of modernization on traditional diets and the need for dietary adjustments are addressed.
7. **Spiciness and Taste Perception:**
- An interesting exploration of taste buds, nerve endings, and the sensation of heat from chilies is presented, adding a scientific perspective to spice perception.
- The brain's role in interpreting aromas and taste is discussed, providing insight into the complexity of food perception.
8. **Dietary Choices and Genetics:**
- The conversation expands to genetic factors influencing dietary preferences and abilities, such as lactose digestion.
- Krish challenges the notion that certain diets, like veganism, are universally applicable, emphasizing the need for personalized dietary choices.
9. **Controversies and Nuances:**
- Controversial topics like the perception of periods and the consumption of certain animal products are addressed, challenging societal norms and encouraging open-mindedness.
- The importance of adapting to changing times while respecting traditional knowledge is emphasized.
**Conclusion:**
The episode concludes with a call for mindful eating, individualized dietary choices, and a recognition of the importance of adapting to new information. Krish Ashok's scientific approach to food provides a unique perspective on debunking myths and promoting a nuanced understanding of culinary practices.
The problem is that people are very loyal to a certain belief, they tend to find anybody against it offensive. You will find this offensive if you are loyal to Ayurveda and will be on the bias side. And that prevents people from thinking logically and with a clean slate. Your judgement is highly influenced by what you belief, this causes a hinderence from questioning the ideology and leads people to blind belief. You should be able to judge without bias.
Vegetarian diets are far more good for your body than this guy knows he's criticising it cuz he only read about it's cons not pros
And belief is there and it'll remain unbothered by so called science which haven't turned any % of the people healthier not even the doctors themselves
Who is father of surgery?
@@drrevansunadholi1985What kind of question is that? What are you trying to prove?
Beta ayurveda is practiced since ages....and in sat yug treta and dwapar yug people use to live for 1000's of years. With no allopathy trash! Don't teach logic. You go eat nonveg and insects

So the guest thinks that he is more smart than the more than 5000 years old living tradition. And some people are saying Ayurveda doesn't exists in other part of the world but there people are living without Ayurveda. Dude people adopt local flora fauna and surrounding environment as the certain geographic area and which is known as different names and we mentioned it as Ayurveda here in India. Guest and the people who are talking rubbish are ultra smart pro max.
What's the problem if he is? Generally in 2023 we shud be smarter than those 5000 years ago. Let's pick ayurveda to the bone. Take wats good and relevant leave out wats not practical in today's society. Ayurveda may not be bad but our lifestyle and diets sure have changed
@108gi5 aree bhai guest bhi sahi hain lkin aagr koyi puri Ayurveda ko hi galat bata de toh iska kya logic hain. Ancient time meh aj ke jaisa kaha itna tarakki thi tab Ayurveda aur baki chij hi humanity ke liye Kam karte the aur aaj ka science uss sab topic ke based pe hi grow hua hain. But the thing is that Indians khud aapne Ancient wisdom ko backward kehkar chor dia hain aur western yehi Ancient wisdom ko pakad ke aage badh raha hain. Western people murkh Honge aagr woh backward chije follow karte hain. Kisi bhi chij ko relevant na kehna aapne aap meh hi murkhta hain joh aaj ke culture ke baseline hain.
@@GameWaveGuru as you can see from my comment I'm trying to follow the same logic as you said. Actually my reply was to OP, coz there's this long standing view going around that we r stupid today and all ancient knowledge is wisdom and somehow better than everything we know today. Then there's this other view that to question anything we did 5000 yrs ago means you are insulting indian culture and promoting some western agenda. Truth is there is a benefit to a hybrid approach as you correctly said. Take what's good leave out what's bad. An urban man is not a farmer nor does he live the life that ayurved prescribed and assumed in its hypotheses 5000 yrs ago so obviously some changes may be attempted. This is the same condescending attitude by op that makes people attribute everything everywhere in the world today to "ancient Indian science" and then present the same things in the Indian science Congress. We need to stop
You must be ultra smart pro Max to still follow what people did 5000 yrs ago.
Sad to know the host's view thay the British "gave" us railways.
The British were chased out but left these kind of worshipers behind.
If it wernt for the British, we might have had Railways on our own and as the guest explained, maybe we would have made it better
why people who consume high amount of red meat have the highest chance of getting gastric cancer....these ppl complicate food a lot, by just looking at the digestive system we could tell what we are capable of eating and what not. Following circadian rhythm, eating before sunset, satvik diet have helped so many people including me. Eating meat is okay but not everyday every meal. Get someone with opposite views on the show and debate.
Are you sure about the details of that study? Was that an observational study that only looked at correlation or has it proven some direct causative factors? Also, was it's a well controlled study to make sure no other cancer causing stuff was eaten? Do you get where I'm getting at? Doing gold standard double blind study like that for diets is very difficult. For the claim that you made, that study to be of good standard the participants would have had to be on a diet of nothing but red meat from the same controlled source and have their water, cook utensils and plumbing itself to be controlled and monitored. Even the PVC pipes in our plumbing leaches carcinogens.
Bhai, you are complicating it. Eat meat, it is healthier. Chicken and fish.
Some of his points are actually not true such as humans can't digest plants!!!😢
Somehow if someone speaks good Impressive English we take everything one speaks as truth..this masala lab guy is a very good example..lot of his stuff is now disproved super old school 90s science..
And you are believing in Ayurveda that is 5000 years old that's isn't even science 😂
You are just having beliefs just like religious people do..science is art of measument and math enables a lot of it which is art of quality..there are thousands of papers published now n effectiveness of ayurveda..you just have to be in some old school beliefs system which doesn't want to change what it originally assumed what it though was true even when presented with evidence
@@anantmb disapproving someone just because they speak better English than you is HILLARIOUS. Having research papers on few things from Ayurveda doesn't make it scientific as a whole. Jao haldi dudh pio
Lol..research doesn't prove anything..you just proved my point that you are no different from people who belive in everything that religion does blindly..people believe in religious texts you believe in 90s science text book which were already outdated
Give examples to justify your point
Good podcast! But I don’t need to hear the occasional water drinking ASMR.
Btw I don’t wanna spread hate or say what he says is completely wrong or such but many things Krish Ashok tries to blame on ayurveda are just not present in ayurveda. I have seen his other podcasts and can clearly tell he knows nothing about ayurveda. Many of his other things maybe correct but selective bashing of ayurveda with half baked knowledge on ayurveda is not that seems right to me.
Thank You I figured
Lot of bs - like AIM - about milk and food. Man adjusts to the environment and available food. Groundnut oil in Andhra? Really? This half wit maveric is bluffing through his hat.
Arey itna faltu extra bol rahe hain…. Content is less and the podcast is so lengthy…. Can’t follow unnecessary talk till for almost half hour…
Content creators must look into it… I appreciate the intention but people like to listen to important concentrated knowledge not your whole interaction for hours.
A good podcast ruined by the way it is shoot. Call Krish to your studio
Why cant india ban ayurveda?.. is it only coz RSS rules india?... or is there any thing good at it?
Btw the host sounds very uneducated... did you really not know that table eggs are unfertilised or are you over reacting?
Goats and monkeys are also animals. But they dont eat animals.
Uh ! Crazy old man 😐🙄
Milk was boiled even 5000 thousand years back. And even today we boil raw milk and drink. That is pasteurisation. So sir, please don't misguide people with half knowledge.
U think, ancient people were moron.
vinamre bhai kbhi kisi vegan ko bhi bula lo you always call such people only and not vegans are you afraid that they gonna change you mind or gonna mak more sense
Vegans have superiority complex.
Btw I am a Vegetarian but I don't care what other people eat
@52:04 - WHAT !! - absolutely CRINGE acting.
I feel like people want to be vegetarian or nonvegetarian or somewhere between it is their personal choice and that's only how it should be this is only what I want to say at the end
And also there is one request that please change the title of the video it's a little offensive..
.
Krish asok is a software professional. He is neither an ayurvedacharya, nor a doctor, not a nutritionist and not even a trained food scientist. He might have his opinion but there is some way to go before he can authentically debunk anything
I always listen to your podcasts but reading the caption and the guy you invited I am skeptical of watching it . I have seen this guys reels and I find this guy thinks that Ayurveda not a science and they said things randomly to be followed . He doesn’t understand that Ayurveda came up with concepts and solutions through trials and observations and wisdom learnt through experience. And this guys blurts out every possible nonsense in the name of science.
WTF is gulping sound and stomach sounds in between
so damn annoying
WhatsApp level gyan always existing.. WhatsApp exist now 😂 .. perfect true line.
A classic case of debunking a brand of pseudo science to endorse another brand of pseudo science. This is nothing but promotion of Own prejudiced beliefs by branding then as a science
Hindi me kiya karo yr
Title is so hard and ignorant.you are not an Ayurveda expert, how can you be so confident about this negative title?
lol for a 2 minute question on how he started he gave a 10 minute answer which never clearly answered the basic question. 😂😂
Stop getting into fraudsters.
Ayurved ka A bhi nhi aata isse. Aya bada . Na five elements ki samajh hai na point pr baat karna duniya bhar ki bak bak.
#stopvivekbindra
Whoever is drinking please mute yourself.
Ye dopist idhar bhi aa gaya. He may know science but is still illiterate. 😢
I have also seen his other videos... he deeply believes that he knows a lot... but, in reality he knows nothing and have a very surface level knowledges about all the things he takes up!
Facts over feelings!!
There is a difference between correlation and causation. While Ayurveda was born out of correlations and speculative hypotheses, it does offer some ideas.
But it is NOT as rigorous as modern scientific advances. Through trial and error and speculation one can solve some problems.
Understanding gravity and launching rockets, or understanding proteins and solving anemia, is different from seeing that eating particular leaf solves throat pain.
Science requires understanding.
Thousands of astrologers predicted the timing of Halley comet. Newton equations predicted its orbit.
Please understand the difference. Correlation isn't everything.
Exactly my point! You may know a lot of stuff but your ego and arrogance will soon catch up. He is a fool.
Ridiculous title about ayurveda , ayurveda doesn't actually suggest detox it suggest " langhana " which is done during some specific diseased condition as the first line of treatment further
medicines are also used . *Try to remove the word "ayurveda" From your title let it be just detox which is modern terminology not our ancient science.
Faltu bakawas jyada hai

You yourself are bakwaas I think
Dumb. Mustard & Cumin are Ayurvedic digestives. Not for oil temperature.
In what quantities are they required for digestion ? Like is this anecdotal or is there scientific evidence that a certain quantity is needed
@@108gi5 AYURVEDA. Study.

Yaa man😮
Please my guy my grandmother was lactose intolerant I get gassy drinking milk
Also, i do not understand people's obsession with science. Our knowledge about things evolve with time. For example, nobody knew the dangers of white sugar 60 years ago. Cigerette smoking was also socially and medically accepted.
I agree with many points, but at 37:45 onwards, he says that nobody in South knew about someone living in the north..That's false..People were travelling from South to north & vice versa. Shankaracharya did all bharat tour in 8th century starting from Kerala. Even before that South kings were sending monks, priests, travelers etc also brought water from the ganga...So kinda false that people weren't knowing about north or vice versa.
The guest is correct on almost everything. However, he has a stereotypical 'I know it all' vibe. He gets irritating after a while.
51:33 the podcaster should be mindful of muting himself when drinking water - it’s so distracting to hear that during a really good interview
