what is the spacific draw to this rig? does to drive and perform drastically from the wraith or bomber. im aware there are differences in the builds but was just curious what the attraction of this rig. i always enjoy your builds and videos.
Obviously it's the looks of the cage, tires and the licensing that make it different than those others you mentioned. It still has the solid axles, but trailing arms f/r. It just has that MT vibe - and with some brushless power, and a couple of upgrades, it's a great driving rig
Another great video Rich! Are you planning on using the stock axles? I just ran my truck with those new Renegade Monster truck tires and broke the front axle and bent the rear one when I landed hard on the left side of the truck. It was a 5 foot jump! Don't think the stock axles can handle the extra force that the Renegade put on the axle with even lite bashing!
I have run MIP products for a long time starting with the original chain driven 4wd RC10. They make some real nice products that last a long time.

I thpought MIP used "standard" hex driver? 5/64 for the tranny/diff set screws isnt it?
2.0 as far as I know....but they are nearly the same....
What shock oil are you using on your truck?

Due to Covid, MIP has been away from their factory for a while...still not sure they're back yet. Check your local distributor (like Amain)

I got slash 4 by 4. MIP don't fit the front rpm steering hub
MIP makes their driveshafts to fit stock Traxxas hubs. When ever you start mixing upgrade brands, theres a chance some items will not fit

Stock axles for now. Not sure where this will lead me, but will run it like this for now
