Being old she has a PJ Harvey Fiona Apple Tori Amos vibe that i appreciate.
You should check out her interview at the tape notes podcast that is just out, where she goes over the nitty gritty of how she produced the songs of this album. SO many layers, really cool.

This outro is everything.
It's awesome. Reminds me a little of Kate Bush (see the repeated vocal phrase during the outro of "Hello Earth" on Hounds of Love around the 3:30 mark), but then turns into something else entirely.
I’ve played the album on repeat for ten hours. She’s surpassed herself and realised a total sound that is just next level St Vincent. It’s lifted my spirits. It’s just wonderful. 😢. Really really wonderful.

LOVE IT! from start to finish oh my God I love this album. The production, the ear crawling BASS and the dark gloomy theme just hit all the marks for me. The way this track in particular builds is like a thrill ride that gradually gets more g forces with each progression
I could only imagine how exiting and thrilled Queen Clarke is the first time she listen to the final production of this masterpiece. 🎉
Legendary collab with Cate LeBon!! I had the privilege of seeing Cate play a small venue in Cardiff a decade ago and it was truly transcendental. If ever you get the chance to see her play, take it. Hope to see Cate again and someday catch Annie live too! Thanks for the musical gifts, ladies 😻💖

Personally I think the funkiness that slowly emerges around the 3 minute mark could have been extended for at least 30 more seconds (minimum) before the unexpected pause and subsequent finale
