It is a great series. I bought a 1st print lot 1-4,6,7,8 about a year ago for $100. Ended up having to spend another $100 to get the missing issues. I was surprised how much even the middle issues were selling for. Usually, most people just spec on the #1. Seeing people trying to get the complete series means they aren't just spec-ing. People really do love the series.

Scored a 5 book lot on eBay this week for $31 & shipping! But that is an exception to the rule as many of the SIKTC auction on eBay are being bought up by users w/bots & bid right at end. It seems easier to wait for reasonable BIN esp if you're looking for #1-7. I now need 4 issues to finish the run & I'm only wounding my wallet
It seemed like you said as the series ends. I think they are just taking a short break and issue 16 is said to start up again around May. Maybe I mis heard. I think this has a ton of room to keep running. Maybe not the 2nd print of issue 3, but who knows there weren't many of those made.
Got in late on this series.. Grabbed a couple of #7 to find even it is way over cover.. Can't conceive that a Wynd preview would spike it but who knows. Interesting concept for sure, as for how it would be adapted to live action? Complicated is my guess given the content.
I just Sub coz I love this series too. It's weird coz few days ago, I was trying to find my issue and put it together if i have a complete series only to find in my surprise that I have everything except #7 issue coz i think i missed it due to the Pandemic i told my LCS to stop it but after a month i told my LCS to put it back again in my Pull list Thank god. Anyways, Upon completing my Issue from 1-14 on my surprise I got those late printings 0n #1 from 4th,5th and 6th print and i got #3 2nd print and #4 2nd print. I'm just happy that i got the rare printings but i don't own any of the ratio or incentive Variants nuff said I'm just happy to own the rare printings and the regular 1st prints and cover B's :):):)

2nd favorite title right now. Have all the A covers and the 6 thank you which is the one that perplexes me a bit. With the 6 ratio being one of the lowest printed I figured the thank you would be pretty low as well
Every store got the one per, while a large percentage didn't order enough to qualify for the ratio. Orders were down, across the board, at that point in the run, from what I have been hearing.
I’ve been with this series since issue one and I’m really glad that I did. I got my #1 being CGC graded right now! If I win the prize please just pass it to the next comment I just wanted to hop on and say how much I dig this series. Definitely wished I invested more in the 2nd prints and variants but I am now. I did snag that issue 1 sixth print before it skyrocketed, grateful for that choice. Love that cover and a lot of the cover art on the series as a whole.
Also one of my favorite series, but the number of variants on some of the issues is really off-putting (and expensive). Trying to pick my way through getting at least the cover A set. The Zu Orzu Black Cape Comics exclusives were REALLY nice - personally my favorite variants after the Frison covers.

What do you think of the potential of The Department of Truth? Obviously it had a much, much larger print run for issue #1 than SIKTC and is more of a slow burn read, but Tynion has said that it's the best thing he's ever written and it seems to have gained a steady following which could grow much larger during SIKTC's hiatus. It will probably not reach the current heights that SIKTC has, but if news of a forthcoming movie or streaming series is revealed (which seems inevitable), prices could skyrocket overnight.

The big hit this year for Netflix is Bridgerton, a story about regency kissing. So they are changing Erica's name to Erica Kissing and she will now kiss the monsters away. Blame the suits, not me. Smoochy smooch!
There are loads of t.v. shows being made from comics. Sweet Tooth is now out. SIKTC will come and go like others, something else will get hot in comics and the price on these issues will tank.
I was able to get a set of Cover A with the Frison for 100 usd. Then 100 bucks for cover a and another Frison for 40usd. Then i was able to get 3, 4, 6. When I got back to collecting comics i think the series was on number 6 or 9 but I knew nothing about SIKTC and Boom Studios.
Man I wish I would have gotten back into collecting comics when these early issues were coming out. Right now I'm missing 3-10. My wallet will be hurting trying to complete the run. 🤔
