@@СергейЧепрасов-ъ5т i have been watching them for a year and a half and only after watching this channel has it dawned on me that I need to put my tv on the very wall that has no plug socket. But that is an easy fix. Get an electrician in. Thats what I will do.
when i initially saw his AD tour a few years ago I was most impressed with his admiration of his old home. too often we hear about people knocking down walls/completely changing a house from what it originally was rather than working towards restoring a house to its original bones.
I have no idea who this Troye Sivan guy is, but his house is impeccable. The only celebrity house I have seen that is truly tastefully furnished and isn’t trying too hard and being over the top just for the sake of being over the top if you get my drift.
Noah let’s see your own work too. I saw his AD 3 yrs ago. It so great that he lives with his sister. Also the size is not a stupid McMansion. It’s just a 3 bed, 3 bath. The soaring ceiling in the living space makes it grand though. Loved it but being nearly 60, I didn’t know what he does so I looked it up. Woo I love his dance vids! Reminds me of my clubbing days in NYC late 80s, early 90s. Anyone remember Black Market, catty corner from the Limelight? Used to come out at 5am, get matzo ball soup at the cool diner near limelight then down to Union square farmers market. Then home by late morning. and Those Akari Noguchi lamps get more chic as the years go by.
Yes, he has money and can afford to create a nice home, but what I appreciate is that he chose to create a home that is on a human scale. Nothing like the homes usually created by those who try to impress others with size (and not much else). Troye’s house is undoubtedly head and shoulders above that of most other celebrities’ homes. Another home that I really like (also with a South-African connection) is that of Sophie Ashby.
i love learning about interior design and your videos are so insightful to me. but other than that, you have such a soft, calming and humorous vibe to you that makes these videos especially great!!!
This is the most informative channel (regarding /understanding interior design) that I´ve come across youtube. Keep up the good work Noah:) Greetings from Sweden!
David Flack, founder of Flack Studio, is something of a genius! And his style is quite distinctive, while meshing well with his client's. Apparently they're doing Troye's LA home ATM.
So glad you mentioned the use of colour & texture in the space, Noah. Here it was done subtly & appropriately in a very sophisticated way which I love. Also, I will certainly look into decorating the attic. I’d never thought of that before. It’s an unused resource for me. My main concern with the place is the lack of storage but I guess it’s OK for a single guy.
Thank you! You’re so good in explaining exactly what I feel about design and architecture, but never really knew how to express in words. It was just feelings. By watching your videos everything makes sense now.
Yeah - it’s phenomenal. The palette is subtle but in a weird way kind of…emotional? The scale & intimacy throughout is amazing. All of the bathrooms are incredible spaces you want to melt into and I love how different each one is. (The outdoor one has my heart completely.) The only thing I hate is that red bedroom carpet, from the limited view of it, it feels cheap and haphazard in that space. Maybe it feels & looks subtler in real life. Everything else is utterly flawless.
I love how your comment about the plaster in the bedroom echoes the limewash comment from the other video. Now seeing it visually does get your previous points across perfectly.
Honestly wasn’t initially excited for this video because I feel like so many create videos on AD tours especially Troye and Emma’s. But I actually enjoyed your commentary.
I absolutely love this. I feel so inspired by your channel and this just makes me want to thoughtfully design my own home so badly…just need my own home!
Great vid, thanks! Love to hear your take on studio McGee, she’s such an absolute master of neutrality, I always end up with a perfect balance between amazement and disgust.
Could you do a video talking about “How to add colour to your space?” Because this home is so colorful in such a tasteful way, that makes me want to get that feeling out of my space but I just don’t know where to start Thankss
100% agree on the colour saturation. I've always opted for the lightest, most beige version of colours, I showed a friend the colour card vs in situe and she kept thanking me for the prewarning for when her house goes through and can start painting 😂😂
Ok, so, an extremely cute interior designer that looks like a younger version of Ewan McGregor talks about my absolute favourite celebrity home, that's very nice, I like it 😅
The living room and kitchen especially are breathtaking. The only thing I personally miss from the living room is some kind of "lounging" area to just hang around with friends. I also have two sofas facing each other and while it can look good in a picture (not even doing that in my space), it's just not cozy enough when you're having friends over. Huge sofas for the win, sorry minimalists.
Really love the House, especially because it is human-sized. Sofía Vergaras House has its Moments, but to me it is just way too big. The only think i personally would do differently: i would have Chosen another color for the primary bedroom. But Overall, such a lovely House 😍
I agree with your take on art. As a broke college student however, I decided to create my own art to frame bc I can’t afford supporting an actual artist.
That tour is just sooooo good🤌 It's always my reference when wanting to easily show someone what my overall dream interior design style would be.. LOVE
Hi Noah i have a design question for you. Where i live in Australia 98% of houses are built with ceiling cornices. Not sure if there is another term for this in the US. I personally think they look really bad and am jealous of US and other countries that don't use these. We bring the ceiling color down onto the cornice so the top of the wall has essentially a white top border. It means any color you put on the wall has this ugly juncture with the white at the to of the wall (kind of like the juncture of a feature wall color with the adjacent wall color.. it looks weird). Have you seen this resolved anywhere? I'm thinking the only option will be to paint the walls the exact same color as the ceiling to try and minimise the feature. Thank you!
3 options. Paint the crown same color and sheen as the trim. Paint the crown the same color as the wall. The ceiling will seem to lift up away from the walls. Try a 50/50 mix of ceiling and wall color. Crown moulding is a Greek revival holdover from your Victorian British colonial past.
If you haven’t already seen it, the most recent upload from The Modern House; The Full Tour: Inside A Family Home In The Sky. I’d be interested to see what you think of it. Your videos have more practical advice on design than the course content of my degree from UAL in interior & spatial design (that I dipped out of). I’d be interested to hear your story & your see your portfolio if you’d be interested in sharing that!
Human scale-thank you FLW-and unpretentious. The man is young but he’s eager to learn. He clearly appreciates art. They made his house a bit playful, with elements of surprise like the bedroom carpet color. I don’t see why AD would even consider showing the Tan France’s or Sofia V’s monstrosity unless it’s “what not to do”. 😢
My friend, doesn’t look like this guy chose much apart from what the designer presented as best choices. Most of the light fixtures and art pieces or very similar ones are in other flack studio projects. The house is fantastic and he is cute but not his input at all (maybe the books?) besides from paying I suppose
This style of his isn’t sustainable it’s ultimately just a trend. That’s what I hate about it. I really hate it tbh. Diplos was 100000x better in my opinion in every way.
I don't know....20 something celebrity pays design house to to create a simulation of a life lived complete with a 'soup' of cliches and a 'reading moment'....
Let me provide some commonsense pushback: 1) Guest bedroom is not intimate, at all. 2) Having a living room that sits 10 people would feel very empty when he's there alone; it's hardly ideal. 3) You are talking about a garden in Australia - nice but the fear of deadly spiders and snakes will keep you out of it anyway.
I watch your channel!! This is scary!!!!!!
Wait stop I wasn’t ready for this 🫢 i love u sm
WOW!
Oops Troye is here. We’re caught guys. What’s your tree in the big pot called?
this is WILD
Love this!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
When I say I have learned more practical information about design from this channel than any other interior youtube channel I mean it

From the latest Nick Lewis video _right_ into a new Noah Daniel vid. A great Sunday start 🙌

I loved this. Shows what you can do with so little and just the right thrift store finds. Missed opportunity for seashells though.
However, I love Noah’s contribution to the world and I can’t wait for his next video.
Noah, will you please share some recommendations for all types of lighting; specifically flush mount lighting? Troye's home is absolutely beautiful.
Soup of light!

The best thing about this house is, that it has a Melbourne student vibe, just super upscaled.
I love your explanation so much! It's very useful.❤ Could you do a video for a 60 sq.m. apartment?
I think one of the most important things is to let natural light into the rooms.

Agreed - even if you are referring to 'physicality' it sounds affected

What? He lives in Melbourne, we don't find snakes in our backyard, and we don't care about spiders in the garden??
Aren't you like 3 years late to this? This has already been talked about by every single interior design youtuber.
