Now I as a kid in the 90's never was into reviewing games nor did I know anything about it. I don't think anyone was but what I do remember is that the arcade era was popping out here in the city where I grew up in Los Angeles and I remember me and my brother showing up ( it was ritual ) and discovering that MK3 had been released and looking back at each other in amazement at the time. The whole arcade floor was spent on that MK3 game that they didn't even have quarters for exchange of dollars. So in reality if you would have never mentioned how bad MK3 did on reviews I think I would have never known it nor would it have ever crossed my mind. I also remember not long after that UMK 3 arrived to the arcades as well. There was this older Mexican vato who used to kill that arcade. You had lines of people waiting their turn to play. Those games were so difficult that I didn't even bother playing them and when I did it was all upper cut , upper cut until I would get countered to death. Different and good times I must say. I also got to witness MK 4 on the arcade but by that time the N64 and PlayStation consoles we're already out so it didn't have the same feel but it was still always a surprise to find out that a new MK game was out. Fast forward to the early 2000's and that slowly started becoming history. Nowadays if I go through that same joint where we used to hang as kids the arcades are still there but they are completely dead. I'm actually surprised they are still up and running. Only reason why they have still managed to survive is because there is a food court right next to it and those who probably are feeling nostalgic or just want to shoot the breeze go and spend a quarter or two. Definitely a different time and when I think back I would never really change the life we went through with all it's ups and downs. Thanks for the videos. It's people like you who every now and then when I look up things from my childhood years that I discover new things about them that I would otherwise not have known.
For me, MK's golden era was when Tobias was around, then the silver age which would be after Tobias left up until Armageddon and finally the bronze age would be MK9 to MK11.
I speak French as a second language, and for the longest time I got confused when people said something like "ne me deçois pas" (don't disappoint me) until I finally looked it up after wondering why characters in games were assigning tasks and telling me not to "deceive" them. Props to the game's translation teams for catching that; I would've missed it.
STILL LOVING IT!!!!! I miss the old toy commercials where they recreated MK2's acid pit with the boat and stuff tanks so much for post-midnight shift content and nostalgia
I mean. I prefer the games like 9. And X. Where there is actually a story present. When I played the original 3 it was just beating the shit out of friends.

1-UMK3 were great, and 2 is one of my favorites, but yeah your just showing that your old (or old minded). MK9 and 10 have added so much more depth to the kombat and story and have some of the best mechanics in the series.
My first encounter with MK4 was very similar to this video, the coin countdown screen... it is an epic entry point. But agreed, it had lost all its soul.
Its crazy about how long it takes to make zelda. Between skyward sword and breath of the wild, we got dark souls 1,2 and 3 plus bloodborne and that was by 2016.
Lmao at his yell when falling (3:07). I always wondered why they used those voice sounds. Like Raiden's flying thunder attack (can't remember than name of the flying push he does), and guys like Sub Zero in MK4 when you throw an opponent. Anyway, sorry about that. I just always thought they were funny af. It added something more for me while playing one of my favorite franchises. But yeah, thanks for another dope upload, man.
I was born in 2002, when deadly alliance came out, and when the ps3 came out I got my brothers ps2 and deadly alliance. I was about 6 and I thought It was the greatest game ever... Personally I loved him

I freaking love MK deception. Prolly my favorite of the series. Great videos bro!
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
@@616Entertainment your content jives so much with me and my childhood man I love it. You’re one of my absolute favorite you tubers out there. Keep up the great work man!
I can't believe I'm watching this long ass series for a second time. These videos are just great. Thanks!!
Highly appreciated!
Raiden gets ripped in half, yells "AH, MY LEG!"
Broooo that ice rink thing happened to me!! At a ice skating "Field Trip" from school, it was all set up!! 🤔
Dude you know the feeling.
Mk 4 in a nutshell:bone break edition
OW MY ARM! OW MY LEG! OW STOP!!!
Deception was a great game. Lots of good memories of playing that. The voice acting made it even better! ((:
Ha! I agree.
First time I ever played MK4 was also in an Ice Rink. A place I have been to a grand total of one time. That's pretty awesome.
@Black Pill
Or get split in half by Ermac's telekinesis.
MK3 was my favorite, but respect to Mk1 and Mk2.... they just dont make em like that anymore
I like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 better since it is basically Mortal Kombat 3 with a lot more characters added.
They never matched the dark atmosphere of MK2. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but that game looked and felt like the peak..
MK2 is a masterpiece.
I think MK X was the peak, before they added BoRaiCho. Now MK2 is again the peak.
@@Simon-zo1vf What's wrong with BoRaiCho?
For me, MK's golden era was when Tobias was around, then the silver age which would be after Tobias left up until Armageddon and finally the bronze age would be MK9 to MK11.
@@Merlaut715 His toilet humor.
Nice videos Bro I miss mortal kombat thanks for bringing back childhood memories
MK 4 should be on Xbox Live & PSN!
Wouldn't piss me off!
Is street fighter can make a collection so can mk hopefully
@@rawrdino7046 I wish they'd rerelease the MK Arcade collection for last gen but add MK4 to it as well.
I remember when I was a kid (probably age 5) that shit scared me when u fell through the well
Dude, SO scary!
Scorpion: *rips Raiden in half*
Raiden: "Ow, My leg!"
STILL LOVING IT!!!!! I miss the old toy commercials where they recreated MK2's acid pit with the boat and stuff
tanks so much for post-midnight shift content and nostalgia
Thanks for watching!
14:19 seeing scorpion and quan chi cheer with their arms up is funny
Maybe I'm old, but the first three games are way better than the rest of the series.
Yeah you're just old
You're old.
3d mk games are very under rated
I agree.
waiting for deadly alliance must've been painful.
It felt like a long time, man.
Fantastic vids man... entertaining an well narrated
Thanks man. This is very old, I've gotten much, much better. Check out some of my newer retrospectives, I think you'll enjoy them more.
I gotta say this at 12:35, it took me a while to realize that the pink beam was Kano's eye laser and not his tongue.
Hey Kano's a freak, you never know. lol
@@616Entertainment True.
The dark ages of MK. I first saw MK4 at a highway rest stop, the game stunk more than the aged piss on the restroom floor.
Smell the aroma of MK4. 🌷
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
False but funny
You know they say that highway rest stops are the gay bathhouses of the 90's and 00's. Are you trying to tell us something?
My first encounter with MK4 was very similar to this video, the coin countdown screen... it is an epic entry point. But agreed, it had lost all its soul.
Its crazy about how long it takes to make zelda. Between skyward sword and breath of the wild, we got dark souls 1,2 and 3 plus bloodborne and that was by 2016.

That TLC joke was funny KUDOS! my friend 👍
TLC?
Lmao at his yell when falling (3:07). I always wondered why they used those voice sounds. Like Raiden's flying thunder attack (can't remember than name of the flying push he does), and guys like Sub Zero in MK4 when you throw an opponent.
Anyway, sorry about that. I just always thought they were funny af. It added something more for me while playing one of my favorite franchises. But yeah, thanks for another dope upload, man.
Thanks for watching!
Hey what was that song in @10:20? Was that some Linkin Park song...? What was it? I can't find it in the Deadly Alliance OST.
'Immortal' by Adema. It's the song playing in the trailer you're seeing clips from.
Anyone else get chills at 18:03?
I hope so, that's what I was going for. =)
When you kill havick in the sky temple stage fatality he says "oh man this gonna suck”
Sounds like they hired the voice actors from the chat logs sequences on "to catch a predator"
Hhahaahhah
For which game, MK4 or Deception?
@@sambridgers9543 mk4
Nice with the Sindel/Lesnar comparison, I laughed good on that one!
Hahaha, that makes me happy. Thanks for watching, dude.
I was born in 2002, when deadly alliance came out, and when the ps3 came out I got my brothers ps2 and deadly alliance. I was about 6 and I thought It was the greatest game ever... I still have my ps2 and go play it every once and a while. Not the best mortal kombat game, but it is the most memorable and it really has that nostalgia factor for me.
Dude, Deadly Alliance is so much fun. Some people hate it now, but I'm not in that camp. Great memories!
