I bought a FeelFree Lure 11.5 a few years ago at the store. When I got home I noticed the bottom of the seat was a little damaged and sent pictures to FeelFree. They sent me a whole brand new seat. I was pretty chocked as those seats are like $300. Definitely top notch customer service.
I bought the Teton last year. Being a bigger guy, I figured I should get one with more capacity. I finally got my hands on the Moken 10 V2. In Fire Camo no less! I haven't had a chance to take it out yet, but am excited to do so.
I bought a big fish 105 beginning of 2020 used it for about a year sold it and bought the 103 but now like regret selling my 105 because I could have used it on the river but then I started thinking I would much rather have the feelfree moken 4 River fishing since it is a little smaller and not as heavy
I just bought the Bigfish 120… standby for news as it is in transit. As for your situation… I would go with the three rivers 105… but it’s like Ford’s or Chevy’s
That's a really good review....thanks!! If your fishing rivers and moving water...its the moken...it is a superb river boat...if its lakes and standing and fishing it's the big fish...its just designed to be a standup fishing platform....but... you better put a trolling motor down through that center pod...that short...that wide...and that heavy...you are not going to be able to paddle it more than 1 mile out. Feelfree just makes great well designed boats...so choose the one that best fits your needs...I think their prices are reasonable enough to have 1 of each. I went through this same selection process....I fish rivers...so you know which one I chose. I can't wait to see the on water review.
I agree with you 100 percent. I took the Big Fish out yesterday. I will have a video up soon but silly me left the go pro in the truck so I have limited Footage. The Big Fish is a slower paddle but it is very stable. I’ll try to get a video out soon. I may take it out again within a couple days to get some better footage. Thanks again for the feedback!!!
I paddle My Big Fish 120 , best kayak I paddled in a long time . Got it for $899 have the Beaver tail ruder and side 8 Ball steering control. Lately got a deal on a Minn Kota trolling motor and a Yak Gaget Quick mount Pod Mount . Trolling motor just drops in with my traduced on it. Just Marvellous.
Wow that’s a great kayak for the cost. Sounds like you got a pretty awesome set up!! I ended up getting and sticking with a Bonafide RS117. I would really love a pedal driven kayak or a trolling Motor to get around.
I have the big fish 105 I purchased a trolling motor mod from yakgadgets. I then picked up a Minn kota 30 thrust trolling motor with the beavertail rudder and I'm never looking back. For me it makes the big fish 105 a no brainer!
which one did you go with? i cant decide. i will be putting it my toy hauler for camping trips. im thinking moken for lighter weight. any suggestions? do you like the seat height better on the big fish?
At the time I ended up going with the Big Fish because for me it was easier to stand and more stable. I liked the higher seat as well. Having a higher seat makes it easier to stand. The Moken paddles better and was easier to transport especially with that wheel in the keel.
@@markdoutdoors7965 did you compare the BigFish10 to a Lure10? Weight and features seem more comparable than to the Moken. Sorry, I haven’t perused all your videos.
Great video Mark. I too have the Teton and looking to upgrade to the MoKen 10V2. I mainly stick to small rivers with class I-II rapids and lakes. Will the MoKen be stable enough for small rivers and moving water? The Teton feels a little tippy at times. I’m 6’2 and 225 pounds. 2nd question- what wall mounts do you have for your kayaks and do you have any links where to purchase them? I need to get my kayak off the garage floor and up on my walls in the garage.
Hey Wesley! The Moken would be a good choice for you . It would def be more stable than the Teton. I had it out on a really windy day and it was really choppy and I didn’t feel like I was going to tip at all( Check out the video on my channel). I think the Moken is a great boat for Small rivers and lakes. It maneuvers and paddles well and is really stable for a 10ft boat. Also here is a link for the hooks I purchased to hang my kayaks on the wall in my garage. They are not expensive but they definitely do the trick. Let me know if you have any more questions. I’d be happy to answer them. @@markdoutdoors7965 I’m trying to get hold of one this week. I’m speaking to a local paddle company who has 10 coming in and 3 are still available. I’m going to find out colors and hopefully put down a deposit tomorrow to hold one. These are getting hard to find. The only other company that has one is in Virginia and they won’t come in till the end of May.

Have you taken it out yet? As a big guy close to 250 lbs. myself I'd be interested in the results. I have my eye on a used Lure 10.
@@dixee6498 yes indeed. These are absolutely flat water boats. At least for me. Bit of a workout on the rivers.

I agree with Canoe Fishing as well. They are two completely different kayaks with different purposes. It all depends what you want to do with them.
Dang I’m stuck too
They both are great kayaks!!!
Yeah it is tough!
Been 8 mos. since I ordered my Moken 10 v2. Still waiting...
Finally received my Moken 10 v2. Took a little more than 8 months. Like the kayak, but no more purchases from ACK.

Not sure how wide it is. I’ll have to measure.
Most yaks are 33 to 34 inches. Definitely not for a sumo
