Man I love your video. I know I'm about 2 years ahead but I just purchased a Mokin v2 and added the Beavertail rudder system, among with other upgrades. Once I added the rudder system it became my "go to" boat because like you, I have a 6 foot bed on my truck. I also have a HooDoo Stingray, that is 13 feet long, that I have to use a padded bed extender and it's setup with a Watersnake. I use it for long watertrips. For the money and easy loading, Love my Mokin!!
Good walk through...this boat can handle large people...I am 6'4'' 275 I have no problems and plenty of room....turns on a dime and tracks well for a short kayak...super stable...absolutely love it.
@@jeremydrouin9975 34 inch inseam high seating position I have 2 stops left on the foot pegs low seat position I have 1 stop left If you want a distance paddling kayak...go to the 12.5...this boat is short and wide and fantastic on small rivers...but slow because it is 10 feet and very wide. I spend up to 8 hours in it with no discomfort. the weight at 65 lbs makes it easy to move and put up on a roof rack...the wheel is awesome the one an only issue is the the side compartments for tackle boxes...and that is a small issue...there is only one bungy and a tackle box can slip under and go under the seat....pffft thats it. cant recommend it enough.
@@mkanyuh Thanks again - this info is very helpful. I noticed that the 2021 model jumped in price $114 from the 2020 version. Still a pretty good value...but the $599 price point was one of the reasons I was taking a hard look at the Moken 10.
Que buenas imágenes. Buen equipamiento. Acá andamos haciendo las mismas actividades por Argentina. Te ponemos como canal amigo. Por nuevas exploraciones buen 2021!
I'm torn between the 12.5 and the 10. Its my first kayak, and I want something that is first and foremost a good recreational paddle boat for messing around on lakes, ponds... easy stuff. Id be with wife and kids. They would have their own kayaks. But, I'd also like options to fish if and when I wanted too. In your opinion... moken 10 or 12.5 for a newbie?
Suuuuper random question, but what does the underside of the kayak look like? Im wanting to get this kayak and install a scupper hole transducer mount but want to see if there are cutouts where the scupper holes go through the bottom of the yak. A picture would be suuuuuper appreciated
Unfortunately it is cold here in Wisconsin so our kayaks are put away in storage. However, I do know scupper mount works for ducers. The scupper holes come out in the channels of the hull (the hull is the same tritoon design as the Lure series). I had a friend who did a scupper mount on his Lowrance on his Lure 10 v1 - this has the same hull just a tad narrower.
Love the video and walk through! I just got my moken 10v2 and can’t wait to get it on the water. Thanks for the video.

Thinking of getting myself one of these. Have you tried standing in it? Is it stable enough to fish standing up on calm waters?
Indeed! It is plenty stable to stand in! I was standing and paddling it last night in 10mph winds.
Thank you for this comment. I'm 6'4" 245ish and wondering how well the 10 footer would accommodate a larger person.

Can i add 8 ball steering to this kayak
Can you post a link of where to purchase this kayak
Would this Moken 10 V2 be stable enough for coastal bays / inlets?
Absolutely! Very stable boat.
No dry storage why dose it need a drain plug? Dose this kayak fill with water?
It doesn't normally but can. It is a plastic boat afterall. And with temp differentials between air and water it can condensate inside.
@@SmallCraftFisherman ahh i see thank you.
Now its $769! :(
